Dumped at the airport, Genevieve is heading to Northern Sweden with one goal in locate a magical plant that is said to only appear during the winter solstice. But when a sudden blizzard sweeps in and destroys her camp she's left out in the cold, miles from any help. Or so it would seem.
Grimrock is an outcast of the Northrock troll clan. Forced out on his own four years ago after he was unable to fulfill the prophecy of his birth, he now lurks on the edges of civilization. He watches the humans as they work, fight, love and live, never able to be part of them. Always alone.
Stuck by a blizzard and dealing with their own feelings of hurt and loneliness, Grimrock and Genevieve find an instant and undeniable connection. But what will happen when the blizzard abates? Can either one go back to the lives they lived before?
Troll Mount is a stand-alone novella in the world of Coven & Crucible featuring stories about witches, magic and supernatural creatures. This is a high heat romance book.
I absolutely adored Grimrock, he was so sweet and never wavering in his feelings towards Genevieve. I found Genevieve to be a bit frustrating on several points, so I wouldn’t say she was my favorite FMC. But the story was still sweet.
I liked this story about Genevieve and Grimrock. This shows how life can turn on its head but, then present different opportunities. This story is enjoyable, romantic and shows what you do to save the one you love.
I have been loving all these books coming out with mythological creatures as main characters. In the book Troll Mount by Anne Marshall we have Grimrock and Genevieve. Grimrock is an exiled troll living in the mountains and Genevieve is a witch out looking for a certain plant to finish her PhD. This book is definitely NOT a slow-burn, and almost what I would call Instant-Love. The romance was fast to appear in this book, literally chapter three. In my opinion this book could have slowed down a bit… Okay, alot. I felt so overly rushed. I barely met these characters and they were already so far into their relationship I missed all character building. The world building was quite nice, but very wordy at times. I feel we could have used more dialog over description, but the "Troll History" and overall background offered in this book was great!
I was so pleasantly surprised by this book. The character development individually and as a couple was very well done and in a short form book/novel. The human witch Genevieve is a strong FMC. Her strength, determination and willingness make her a beacon of hope. Grimrock the Troll MMC is lost, lonely and desperate for a connection. His world is rocked when he's banished from his clan.
During the Blizzard there worlds collide and he saves her from near death. Attraction is instant, friendship develops and love blossoms.
Dual Pov, Size diff., mild angst, spice 3

This book was absolutely adorable. I thought that Genevieve and Grimrock had great chemistry and worked well together. It was nice to see a shorter book with a definitive goal. I just think that some things happened too fast. The first sexual encounter felt a lot like the one in Ice Planet Barbarians, except for the fact that Grimrock could speak English and actually asked for consent. I enjoyed the adventure that they went on to find the moss and loved that it was a full story. Other than the romance, I think the story was well paced and kept my interest throughout the entire book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a cute book, it’s a lighthearted read with the focus on the romance. It jumps in really quickly with a well written steamy scene. It ends in a happily ever after, which I love, and wraps everything up in a neat tidy bow. There isn’t a lot of tension, or too much depth, but I believe it is more of a novella and to be enjoyed at face value, which is a lovely, quick read with some nice spicy scenes. It’s light and sweet. I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy and am happily leaving a review of my own volition.
This was a quick, steamy romance read. Genevieve is a witch on a mission to find a magical moss in order to complete her Ph.D. In her determination, she gets caught in a snowstorm and almost frozen. Thankfully, Grimrock the Troll is able to rescue her and bring her back to his home. From first meeting, sparks fly, and they quickly find themselves in love.
Super light, quick read with a definite focus on the romance. I enjoyed seeing them get their H.E.A!
This was a cute and cozy, slighly sexy, romance read. I loved the the setting in Sweden and the mystical creatures that reside in the forests and caves. I was expecting a different kind of story from the cover but was pleasantly surprised with the story and characters and would definitely pick up another book by this author.

A great read! Just loved Grimrock. Genevieve finds herself alone and dumped at an airport, as she's about to head off to find some elusive moss. She's a Witch and it is part of her study. After being caught in a blizzard, in Sweden, she finds herself rescued by Grimrock, a Troll. 😍 Each see's something in each other, that has been missing in their lives Grimrock has been banished, for not finding the 'black deer' but as you readers will find, he did 😊 I loved how these two were just so perfect together, that they found the missing parts of their souls. There are trials to face and an acceptance from Grimrocks clan. The heat was both 🌶🌶🌶🌶 and sensual, they fit perfectly together. Even a touch of humour, that had me chuckling. I hope this author creates more, similar genre stories for readers to enjoy. 😊
This was a really cute and quick read. The story followed Grimrock and Genevieve through some trials and tribulations and ultimately falling in love, in a very short amount of time I might add. Grimrock is such a sweet troll and will do anything to protect Genevieve. Even at rock bottom, near death, he couldn't see a life without her and fought with everything he had to make that happen. There were a few spicy scenes, but noting too crazy or out there. I would say pretty basic for those who read smut.
