The author investigates several different teachings and philosophies to show how they are similar, that we all strive for a connectedness and to be the best version of ourselves we can.
It's about knowing yourself, good and bad, what your aspirations are, where the points on your personal compass point and how you might get there.
Using the remedies well means you have to look at what is causing you pain or holding you back; when you can name it you can start to work on it.
