This autobiography is not a literary masterpiece, but the wit of this English-born Australian resident, science broadcaster and journalist (a description that doesn't even come close to describing all that Robyn Williams has done in his life) and his fascinating insights and anecdotes about the society, politics, science and media throughout his life, certainly makes for interesting reading despite the fact that the book 'stops' in 1995 when it was published, and so is dated as such. Williams has had an amazing life, one that I cannot help but feel that it very much reflects the time and (sadly) may not perhaps be possible today when freedom and possibility does not seem as accessible. I would love to read his insights into the 25 years following the publication of this book! ***
