A full of suspense, twists and emotional rollercoaster read. Both Dominic and Ally characters were written so good. Saving a damsel in distress gotta be one of my most liked trope lol (especially if he's a billionaire and doesn't like anyone but her).

This book was amazing! The layers upon layers of Dominic were intriguing, complicated, hot and thought provoking bringing attention to mental health and things not talked about that often. Ally surprised me when she found her way and by the things she was willing to do to make sure her son Josh had a happy childhood. Love has no limitations.
Ally's life has never been perfect. Ally ended up pregnant after her very first time, but that gave her Josh. Ally's husband is detached, but a good father. Ally rationalizes his behavior and puts up with more than she should to protect Josh's image of him. When she meets a stranger on the beach, her perspective on life starts to shift.
Dominic is a very busy man. Between running a company and dealing with personal issues, he doesn't have time for anything else. When he meets Ally though, he can't get her out of his head. He wants to know everything about her and soon he becomes consumed with catching glimpses of her when he can. When Dominic finds Ally crying on the beach, his knight and shining armor takes over. He offers to let her stay with him until she gathers her thoughts.
What happens between them and will it be enough to weather the storm they will both end up facing?

This dark romance was as intoxicating as it was unsettling. The author didn’t shy away from exploring morally gray characters, twisted power dynamics, and raw emotions that made my heart race in both fear and desire. The chemistry between the leads burned hot, but what really stood out was how their relationship forced me to question the line between obsession and love, cruelty and protection.
The atmosphere was heavy and immersive—moody settings, dangerous secrets, and a constant sense of tension. At times, the darkness felt almost overwhelming, but that’s exactly what made it so gripping. If you’re looking for a light, fluffy romance, this isn’t it. But if you crave intensity, broken characters, and a story that lingers with you long after the last page, this novel delivers.
The atmosphere was heavy and immersive—moody settings, dangerous secrets, and a constant sense of tension. At times, the darkness felt almost overwhelming, but that’s exactly what made it so gripping. If you’re looking for a light, fluffy romance, this isn’t it. So, so good 💙
I totally read these out of order, but I loved both books like crazy!
This one, though… it hit me the hardest and completely won me over.
The backstories were so powerful and heartbreaking.
The way the MMC’s mental condition was written was absolutely brilliant.
The love moved fast, but it worked for the story.
The codependency was wild but so on point.
My only gripe? I wanted more.
There was so much room to expand, and the ending came a little too quickly…
I would’ve devoured extra chapters or even a second (or third!) epilogue. 😂
To say I can’t wait for book 3 is a massive understatement.

God I love a good dark romance!! This was an emotional roller coaster. Anne takes you on a suspenseful journey with Ally. This has multiple POV’s which I always appreciate. I like getting to really know the characters. And I must say Ally is bad ass!! I love a fierce mom who wants a better life for her child and self. The strength she shows and the want for a better future. We love that here. 💖 this was HOT HOT. I do love a spicy time. And this definitely didn’t disappoint.

I found this dark romance quite engaging, particularly because it includes representations of dissociative identity disorder (DID) and multiple personality disorder. I value books that address mental health issues, as they can foster greater understanding and awareness. Overall, it was a captivating dark romance, but I would recommend paying attention to the trigger warnings provided.

What an excellent Dark Romance debut. Dominic and Ally, you know it’s too good to be true when he sweeps into save her from an abusive relationship and partner. Tension, rawness and an HEA. Read it in one sitting.

Honestly, this book was a little slow in the beginning for me. Then, not too far in, I got so hooked! This book ripped my heart out in the best way a few times. I love love love the relationship dynamics for this book.
