Anna Hawke is a paranormal romance novelist dedicated to bringing to life the voices inside her head. With a degree in Journalism and a vested interest in grammatical perfection, Anna’s written works contain sarcasm, spark, and sexy alpha males too handsome for their own good.
When she isn’t busy wrangling her three young children, gorgeous husband, and an opinionated grey tabby, Anna enjoys reading romance novels, riding horses, and traveling to places where hiking boots are required. Writing, however, is her favorite pastime, and Anna loves nothing more than pouring herself a 24 oz mug of tea, wrapping herself in a blanket, and giving her imaginary friends a voice.
This book broke my heart and stitched it back together. Every raw emotion Remmus and Ava experienced from their past and present was seared into my bones with each word. The beautiful ones, the painful ones, tears leaked from my eyes and sometimes I caught myself grinning. Their story pulled something within me and made my heart physically ache. That's how good this book is. Have loads of emotional support candy ready. It's got all the pain but it teaches a lot....Makes you want to check on your loved ones to make sure everyone's doing okay. I'm going to be dreaming about this book for a while. A true five star read ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Such an addictive book filled with magic, fated mates, strength and bravery! I was hooked from the early first pages and i just cant get over how good it was!! I can’t believe i only now found out about this series 🫣
It has 🔥fated mates 🔥past traumas 🔥suprises 🔥wherewolves 🔥badass FMC
What a great book. I love when a book can make me cry and this one definitely pulled on my heartstrings. I really love a good enemies to lovers story. I love all the magic and give me vampires & werewolves and I'm a sucker. Definitely a 5 start read couldn't put it down.
A Raeth and a Werewolf. Both with traumatic pasts. Both searching for something, anything to free them from the horrors of their childhoods. Both trying to regain all that they've lost. Both desperately needing the love of each other before it's too late.
Speechless. I am speechless. Where do I even start to tell you all about the journey of Remmus and Ava? Broken. Wrecked. Shattered. Betrayal. Pain. Tears. Traumatic. Unconditional love. Forgiveness. Laughter. Redemption. Family. Trust. Strength. Heartachingly beautiful. Those words. All those words are just part of what made their journey unforgettable and worth every single tear I shed for them. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, this journey was definitely not an easy one to get through.
Remmus and Ava will forever hold a special place in my heart. My heart literally broke into a million pieces for them, and was slowly put back together, bit by bit, as amends were made, and their love grew. After all these two have been through, they desperately needed a HEA, and the icing on the cake was they found it with each other.
I have been procrastinating this series because the closer I get to the end, the worse it's going to be. I've known this for months now. It has taken me 11 weeks to even pick up this book. But once I picked it up, there was no going back. I was hooked. Am I going to pick up the next book in the series right away? I have no clue. I'm still reeling from all things Remmus and Ava.
Ms. Hawke is extremely talented when it comes to writing. I am in awe of the worlds she can create and the unique twists and turns she throws into her books. Even though I know she's going to rip my heart out, shatter it into a million pieces, stomp on it for good measure, and do a little happy dance at my pain, she's still a favorite of mine. If you haven't read any of her books, I highly recommend you give them a try! You won't regret it.
And of course I can't forget my casting. *dreamy sigh* I just adore these two!
This was so good! I honestly couldn't put it down. I am so heartbroken and sad for everything that happened to both of them, but I'm so happy they got their happily ever after. I loved every second of this story, the tears, the tension, and the joy. They were both really strong characters, and I really enjoyed reading their story.
Under crimson blades by Anna hawke immortal accords book 9
This is romantasy at its best.
I love Annas books, they are so Well written and heartwarming !
Once again I am stunned by Anna Hawkes books. The immortal accords series is a certain hit for me. And I just absolutely love these books! The books can be read as standalones as we follow a new couple in each book but they all interconnect as the characters all know each other. I love how we are given hints and information about how a previous couple are doing when the main characters of the current book meets them etc.
This book even has a Character Glossary to help freshen up your memory on who is who, what breed they are and what their powers are. I love it !
The book is Dual pov, and we follow Ava and Remmus. Ava is a female werewolf, beta of her pack. She is driven by revenge and loathes raeths But forced to work with one. Remmus is a male raeth forced to partner up with ava to help save immortals. He is a jokester and a flirt on the outside, But battling demons from the past on the inside.
I absolutely love the main characters of this book. Especially Remmus as he represents some very important and real issues about self worth and struggling with demons from the past. His character goes through a lot in this book mentally and we get to follow his ups and downs. Which is really relatable.
Tropes : * Fated Mates * Who Did This To You * Enemies to Lovers * Escalating Curse * Revenge * Closed door romance

I had heard great things about Anna's books, but I hadn't gotten to them yet. Anna kindly gave me an ARC of this book, which I am woefully behind in finishing...In an effort to not delay further, I jumped straight into this book without reading the previous 8 in the series. But that said, I can attest that the book can be read as a standalone! The character list at the beginning was helpful, and there are enough details provided for previous events that I could follow along. Of course, starting from the beginning to appreciate all the previous stories would be beneficial.
Even with all the good things I heard, this book far exceeded whatever expectations I had in mind!
I absolutely enjoyed Anna's writing style! She has a way with words and phrases that really adds to the humor and banter. Whether they were comparisons or simply phrases I had forgotten about, her writing style added a depth to her storytelling that I find really unique. And with it, the banter had me cackling a number of times!
But also...that plot went deep! There are definitely some heavy topics in here, and I cried. A lot. The first half had me laughing, then it got down to business, and the last third was devastating and beautiful all in one. My attention was held throughout, and I read it as fast as I could!
Suffice it to say, it's only because of work and other upcoming responsibilities that I don't hide in my room for a week and binge this entire series.
⚠️Minimal cursing 🫑Kissing, closed door
Thanks, Anna, for the ARC copy! I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
Another top notch book in this series. I do admit this one did make me super emotional. I was glad it worked out the way it worked out, but my heart still hurt for the characters as they had to deal with pain first.
This consuming Paranormal Romance is Book 9 in The Immortal Accords series. The romance in book builds slower because one of the love interests being hesitant due to past trauma. While the book is not spicy it is still an adult paranormal romance book. It will have adult thoughts, themes, and topics. The book moves at a steady pace following Ava, and Remmus as they work together to protect other werewolf packs from the citizens attacks. Due to Ava’s past she is uncomfortable around Remmus, and working with him will be a challenge. Or at least it should be. As their tasks progress Remmus, and Ava grow closer as well as things become more dangerous due to the citizens involvement. Ava is a beta werewolf with a devastating past, and also wants revenge. Remmus is a Raeth who also had a devastating past that darkens his soul and mind, that he just wants to get away from. The world is set in the same world that the previous books are set in. There is action, suspense, romance, and even angst. This book will suck you in, consuming you completely until the last page.
Forwarning this one is darker than the other books. Can be read alone, but really should be read with the rest of them.
There is a content warning in the front. I wish it would just say which chapters (I mention a couple). I’m very excited for the glossary. I had to make my own and it was getting confused with all the characters. Ava is second in command beta wolf with a rough background. Remmus is a flirtatious raeth but it is all a facade. I loved how Remmus protected Ava (you'll have to read more to figure it out). I did guess a few things along the way, but it was exciting to see how it played out. this book did better at portraying their personalities. I felt like the descriptions were more accurate, and I could actually picture these two in my mind because there was a lot of information. I definitely felt my heart strings going all over the place with this one.
This cover seems to be the most real and not strange compared to the rest of the book covers so far.
no cursing that I remember and only closed door kissing.
P. 209 abuse to a 2 yr old I skipped most of it. 257 more abuse memories. earlier in the book, there’s a mention of rape. I just read over that paragraph Ava gets cornered somewhere.
It is a little unforgiving starting out. Not being familiar with the other books in the series, there was quite of bit of unfamiliar terminology, which took me a bit to get used to. I liked that there was a list of the recurring characters. I think adding some of the other terms (like what exactly a raeth is) would be beneficial.
Overall the book was solid. I liked the FMC Ava, she was kickass without hitting those weird obnoxious kick ass tropes that are in a lot of books. Remmus was really fun. His charm really came through in the dialogue.
That was by far ‘Chef Kiss’ What an amazing story, I absolutely devoured this, there was moment were heart ache for the charters and moments of pure joy and laughter. I had my feelings about Remmus as the story developed. This book gave so much more than I expected and I'm so grateful for it. I 100% would recommend this, you will not regret it.
We get another great book in this wonderful series. Ava and Remmus story has me hooked. From predetermined prejudices and hate fate has other plans. As they work together their chemistry is off the charts. Love this creative and inspirational world.
This was an amazing story. Remmus and Ava were a wonderful couple. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them fall in love and confront their pasts to deepen their bond. It was heartbreaking to see what they both endured, but I'm so happy they found happiness in the end.
