Fabulous prizes! Cars, wealth, and a year's supply of furniture wax! All of these--and much, much more--can be yours...if you survive. Of course, you are going to have to kill the monsters to get the treasure, and you aren't the crowd favorite today, and the cameras are very unforgiving. But there are no second takes, and if you die... YOU DIE!

Pros: First 120 pages are fluff, no rules. The fluff is excellent in content if middling in execution.
Cons: Needs editing for form and content.
The crunch: I find the d20 system somewhat obnoxious, but I think XCrawl plays well to the strengths (and the weaknesses!) of the system to create a truly unique and enjoyable game. The fluff fits well with the theme, and the overall tone facilitates swashbuckling mayhem in the best possible way.
The attached prestige classes are pretty cool, and I like that classes that don't have any place in XCrawl (barbarian, druid, etc) are sort of written out. I also like that Bards are extremely usable in this setting.
Could be four stars with editing, could be 5 stars with a unique system tailored to the game.
