A thousand years ago, humans and dragons lived in harmony. Can Princess Jaylen restore their bond before war tears her kingdom apart?
When Jaylen crosses paths with a wounded dragon named Aurelia, she resolves to not only heal her new friend but also prove to her father, the king, that dragons are gentle giants sworn to protect humankind.
However, the king is convinced that Aurelia is a dangerous liar—so convinced, in fact, that he would rather betray his own daughter than reforge an ancient alliance. Heartbroken and in hiding, Jaylen must still find a way to secure victory before her father’s rash decree spells their entire kingdom’s downfall.
But even as Jaylen races against time, their true enemies are preparing to strike, and they may have a powerful ally of their own...
This book lacks imagination, personality, talent, and a good editor. I’ll preface my review by saying the authors are not a fan of me for calling out their behavior, yet I still read the book to give it a chance but what a disaster this book was so let’s get into it.
To start, The other reviews are paid for and/or AI/bot reviews bc if you read this book you understand that there is a massive lack of skill and talent necessary to be an author. Some of the big issues:
1. Repetitive descriptions and narration - the authors here constantly use the same descriptive words in their writing. For example on the first page you see “warm golden light” used over and over. There also is a lack of vocabulary here (I.e. saying “photos of ancestors give the room continuity..”) I also kept being burdened when reading because you have the narrator saying what a character feels followed directly by the character saying THE EXACT SAME THING. It is beyond poor writing (which I think is AI) throughout the entire book. (I.e. “King Thadis felt like his daughter hated him, and he would never see her again. ‘She hates me, and I’ll never see her again’ he said”).
2. The authors cannot keep track of their story - this happens a lot in the book too, where the authors are using the wrong names for characters (for example there’s a scene where Lyon and Jaylen are starting a journey to Corina, but the book reads “Jaylen and Tauren start walking). The authors also have many spelling errors of already complicated names. There was one scene though that really rang true, and it’s when the dragoneers assemble before the battle. In it, Lyren and her dragon Feora meet with 4 other dragoneers and 5 dragons (a mother and son dragon are the issue here). As this scene progresses the authors forget that there are 6 dragons in the scene and this one dragon character is completely lost. Another instance of this is in the final battle’s beginning, king Thadis notices the banners of Corina coming to help… but then we have characters all going to Corina to get help and wait for Corina to arrive?? It just is so lackluster and poorly thrown together it makes it unbearable to read I kept saying “What the hell??” out loud.
3. So. Many. Plot. Holes. - this book screams it’s written by an AI program bc the amount of plot holes in it are astounding. There is also a lack of development for what could have been a good scene - the final battle. There is a section where they describe the exiled dragons (barely, just naming them) and then as the battle continues the exiled dragons just show up, have no development, and then leave. It leaves so much to be desired and amounts to a disappointing finish to the book.
Overall, this book lacks every single thing a good book has. It lacks the grammatical skill you need, the imagination to do successful and skillful world building, and it lacks authors who know what it means to hone their craft. They will read this review, say “You’re a troll!”, and move on thinking that they are bound to be eternally successful. That however. Is not the case if they continue to create garbage such as this book. Please, spare us from parts 2 and 3 of this trilogy.
PS, your AI cover doesn’t even match the description of your characters (Aurelia in the book has forest green eyes, not red and Jaylen’s crown should have Aurelia flowers, not roses)

I hate giving 1-star reviews. I don't think I've given many. There are several that I straight up didn't like, but still didn't rate them so low. However, I simply could not rate it any higher. It was one of the most boring things I've ever read. The dialogue fell flat. None of the characters had any personality, it was like there was no emotion behind them. I felt no interest in any of the characters or any particular scene. I only finished the book because my husband dared me to finish it. It wasn't worth a second of my time. I know I sound harsh, but it's my honest opinion. This was a ridiculous book and I'm glad it's over

"Firebound Harmony: Princess and Dragon Unite" by Sarah and Patrick Getchell takes readers on an enchanting journey into a world where humans and dragons once coexisted peacefully. The story follows Princess Jaylen's quest to mend the fractured bond between these ancient allies amidst looming war and betrayal.
From the moment I laid eyes on the book's cover, I was captivated by its beauty and intricacy, which perfectly reflects the magical world within its pages. The plot unfolds with gripping suspense as Jaylen encounters Aurelia, a wounded dragon, and sets out on a mission to heal both her newfound friend and the rift between their species.
The authors skillfully weave together themes of friendship, loyalty, and bravery, keeping me eagerly turning the pages to uncover the next twist in the tale. The characters, especially Princess Jaylen, are beautifully crafted with depth and relatability, making their struggles and triumphs feel incredibly real.
As I delved deeper into "Firebound Harmony," I found myself emotionally invested in their journey, rooting for them to succeed against all odds. This first installment in the Firebound Harmony Series is a mesmerizing blend of fantasy, adventure, and heart, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this captivating saga.
Firebound Harmony is a mix of sword and sorcery style fantasy with dragons thrown in. While the overall idea might appeal to readers of, for example, Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders series, this book has many issues that need sorting out before I can in good conscience recommend it. The book reads like an early draft of the story and needs thorough editing in order to reach its potential. Grammar issues, typos and inconsistencies abound, which unfortunately pull me out of the story. In addition, the prose could do with refining and developing a more original authorial voice. Currently, it reads like a bland generic copy of countless fantasy books already available. I hope the author/publishers will consider a thorough edit.
I loved this book! "Firebound Harmony" by Sarah and Patrick Getchell is a magical tale that hooked me right from the start. Princess Jaylen is a brave and compassionate character, and her bond with the dragon Aurelia is heartwarming. The tension between Jaylen and her father adds depth to the story. The kingdom's struggle and the looming threat kept me on edge. I loved the rich descriptions of dragons and swordplay. The authors did a great job blending fantasy elements with an engaging plot. It's an exciting start to the series, and I can't wait to see where Jaylen and Aurelia's journey leads next.
Terrible. So poorly written it numbs the brain to read it. All the good reviews were bought. An example of how terrible the book is before even opening it: the text on the spine is upside down. Spelling and grammar mistakes abound. Complete waste of time. Steals so much from Dragon Riders of Pern and Eragon. Also makes Eragon look like a masterpiece. If I could give less than a one star rating I would. Bought the book used on EBay to not give these “writers” any money. -20/10 would not recommend.
The story of this book was so fun to read. It had action and heart wrenching betrayal and did I mention dragons? Definitely one of my favorite reads recently. Jaylen was let down so badly and I really connected with her because it was her father, and even after she stayed strong and did her business. Plus again did I mention dragons? I can’t wait to get more immersed in this world and see where they take us.
Dnf’ed halfway through. I felt like it was definitely written by ai. There’s too many repetitive wordings just in the first chapter, and throughout what I read up to. I feel like the author was lost most of the way through writing it.
TT users proved this was heavily influenced if not entirely created by AI. The book is missing vital edits & confuses characters, is poorly written, and was rushed to be published. You can’t expect to get rich quick without doing any work to get there.
