I highly recommend to everyone so y’all can better understand ADHD and I am meaning that in an educational way. Cause I know a lot of people have no clue about ADHD.

Really positive read

Related to this book so much, I’ve just been wondering if I am on the spectrum and the similarities are uncanny and points to probably but the acceptance and new knowledge has only made diagnosis more accepted and accessible for assessments in recent years, speaking from the uk. I will definitely be using the motivational techniques. Thank you x

A compassionate perspective of what life can be like for women with ADHD. This really helped me understand so many of my own struggles in a more kind and compassionate way. There were lots of useful coping strategies that I already use, but will reinforce me with the tools to continue using them and ones that I will revisit later. I understand myself so much better and the reasons why I am like I am. This is the first time I have found a book that explains my exact experiences with ADHD and social anxiety. I didn't know that social anxiety can co-occur with ADHD and exacerbate the symptoms, which is definitely the case for me, as I related to the majority of what was described in this book. Thank you so much for helping me along on my diagnosis journey and for the emphasis on the positive qualities that being a woman with ADHD can provide. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone just starting to understand their own ADHD and how it might affect them.

Great learning tool

I didn't know that overspending was linked to ADHD! And misplacing documents! That was a revelation for me. The tools in this book seem like they will be a huge help!

“ADHD is not just minor distractibility and laziness; it stems from fundamental brain-wiring differences. Those of us with ADHD struggle to be more organized and focused due to these neurodevelopmental differences, despite our best efforts”. I think this is useful to know, and it’s not a ploy by pharmaceutical companies to sell more drugs. “Many girls and women develop effective coping mechanisms to compensate for their challenges. These strategies make their ADHD less visible, allowing them to fly under the radar.”

I really like the organization of this book. Even someone without a lot of time to read the details here would benefit from reading the highlights at the end of each chapter.

It was very educational and has useful strategies to help manage the symptoms that come with having ADHD. It is written in a way that is informative and easy to digest
