In the prequel The Satin Rose Experience, which can be found in the Keyboards and Kink anthology, Asher Cane took an instant interest in Mia Lavender. She wanted to know more about the BDSM lifestyle, and he was just the person to introduce it to her. To sweeten the deal, he offered her the position of VP of Client Experience of the exclusive BDSM club, SRE. Their first night together was supposed to be her first lesson, but it quickly turned into more for both of them. In Mia's Submission, her first training lesson is finally about to commence.
This novella was another great read in Sandra Bunino's BDSM-lite series. He is determined to stick to his plan and not mix up love making with training. Being with Mia also makes it difficult for him to hold back his darker desires, but he fears that she isn't ready for that type of intensity yet.
Mia's first lesson doesn't go off without a hitch, but it was HOT! There's blouse ripping, buttons fly, then she attacks his fly, oh my! Even I felt weak-kneed after reading that scene. What I really like about this series so far is seeing the progression of their relationship, as well as seeing them expose their feelings and insecurities. I still love Asher being a little clueless as to how his actions may be perceived at times, but he doesn't waste any time to correct his mistakes. Gotta love that about him.
At first I didn't find it believable that Mia being a complete novice, would be handed her first client a few hours after her first training session. How can she "advise" another novice when she herself is barely at the beginning of her own self discovery? I discussed that point with the author and received a satisfactory answer to my query. Safe to say there is still a lot more to be revealed in this ongoing series, so I will sit back and enjoy the journey Ms Bunino is taking me on.

First let me say that this story picks up right where the story in the anthology did, so while Sandra catches you up quickly, it’d still be very helpful to read The Satin Rose Experience in Keyboards and Kink first before reading this.
Since that’s out of the way now, I can go into all the reasons I loved this book! I appreciate that while Asher is training Mia for her job, he’s also training her for himself. I relate to Mia because who hasn’t at least entertained the thought of dipping your foot into the BDSM world? Her exploration of her fantasies and his guidance through it are oh so sweet and incredibly sensual.
The tension and buildup as Asher guides Mia through her first real BDSM experience is exquisitely excruciating. You hang on every word through every action. I felt like I was in Mia’s shoes, and under the circumstances, she reacts the exact way I would have when all was said and done, but Asher’s answering response couldn’t have been better.
My only complaints: Too short. Want more! Bring on book 2!
Sandra’s best work yet, Mia’s Submission demonstrates the serious, teasing, and tender sides of both characters so well and leaves you with an obvious hint of so much more to come. It’s awesome and you’ll be anxious for the next installment!

Oh, this is the start of something real good. Sandra Bunino has got my attention. SRE #1 is a quick read and there is a ton to love. Mia and Asher melt on the page. Mia jumps into her new position with both feet and I cant blame her, but that doesn't mean Asher isn't testing her. He takes her to a room that is set up to make the submissive feel physically insecure. Oh boy, but it helps build the trust between her and Asher. Very nice. There's also a moment here that pounds on your heart and leaves you panting. Yes, the start of something real good. Must Read.

Oh, this one was great and delicious fun. I love this series and am about to start the next one with a happy e-reader. BDSM that will make you dream happy night time slumber filled with spankings and a Dom that knows just how to make you submit. Love it!

I had the pleasure of reading The Satin Rose experience in the Keyboards and Kink anthology. When I was offered the chance to review the follow up story I was excited. The Satin Rose experience is going to be a series of stories. I don't know if they will all be part of the R2G (Romance to Go) line or not. Evernight Publishing describes their R2G line as follows: "Our readers have busy lives. Sometimes there just isn't enough time to engage in a novel but an escape into romance is still desired. We want to offer our readers a collection of short stories that can be read during work breaks, on the bus, in the waiting room, or before bed."
So Mia's Submission is a short story. 26 pages on my Nook. Anyone who follows my blog knows that sometimes I struggle with the short stories and novellas as a reader. I am a greedy bitch and want to know and read all I can about characters I like. I would be happy if every story I read was hundreds and hundreds of pages long. However the reality, especially in my life, is we don't always have the time to commit to that type of story. Today my schedule was full. But I needed some me time. So in between dropping the Pixie of at musical rehearsal and starting the housework for the day, I decided to treat myself and see if a R2G book could be for me.
It's been awhile since I read The Satin Rose Experience in the anthology and I decided not to refresh my memory. (Hello! I read A LOT of books. Some more memorable than others.)I wanted to see how Mia's Submission went from there and if prior knowledge would enhance the reading. If you pick this story up without first reading The Satin Rose Experience, you will not be missing out. I'm not sure how she did it, but Sandra Bunino managed to write a short story that clued you into what had gone one before, furthered the story line, let us get to know the characters better and there is even steamy sex to round it all out. And to top it all off got me intrigued in where the next book in the series is going. All in 26 pages. How did she do that!?
I didn't feel cheated by the length at all. It was nice getting to catch up with Mia and Asher. I zoomed through it in plenty of time to get my housework done and still felt like I had a little oasis of me time to relax. So way to go Sandra Bunino for writing a steamy, hot little romp that let me escape for a bit.
I think Evernight Publishing has hit the nail on the head with this R2G line. I will definitely be checking it out for more stories. They will be my little indulgence for when I need some me time in the midst of all the "mom work" So go check it out. And don't forget to look for Mia's Submission by Sandra Bunino.

A great BDSM read that picked up right where the story “Experience” left off. Experience was a part of the “Keyboards and Kink” anthology and is available. Even if you did not read Experience prior to Mia’s Submission, you will fully understand and enjoy what’s within the story. Now, hold on tight for a wild ride of one woman’s very first experience as a true submissive.
Asher and Mia have had one sexual encounter prior to their current meeting. It was a definite taste of what was to come for both of them. One aspect was lacking though, the properly introduction to Mia of what’s expected of a true submissive. Needing to know everything for her new role at SRE, Asher plans to give it all he’s got and show her the wonders and delights a submissive receives from their Dom when they are deserving and the possible punishments they will receive when they disobey. But is it too much for Mia to handle? Can Asher do the right things and not scare her away from wanting her so badly? All of those answers and more are within the sexy pages, so you are going to have to read it and see for yourself ;)
Since the BDSM aspect was not harsh like some can be, and it’s based on two people’s desire to be with other. I believe any romance, erotic or BDSM fan will truly enjoy Mia’s Submission :)

This book is smoking hot! What a great way to start a series! The chemistry between Asher and Mia is electric.
Mia is offered the position at SRE of being in charge of the client experience. So she needs to learn what it is to be a client first. What better Dom to train her then Asher?
The beginning of their story is in an anthology called Keyboards and Kink and it is not mandatory to read it first but it is a great way to see the characters evolve!
I cannot wait to sink my teeth in the rest of this series! Miss Bunino definitely made me break my fan out!!!

She's already been thru phase one, and she liked it. She's in phase two, but she starts to have second thoughts about going thru with it. She likes what she's tried so far, and it is not the pleasurable pain that scares her. She's afraid to lose her heart to Asher, her drool-swoon worthy Adonis look alike boss, who happens to be her trainer.
Asher *sigh* is busy at work thinking of ways to introduce Mia to his dark ways without scaring her away. Afterall, according to him, Mia needs to know what certain things feel like if she's going to be in charge of clients at SRE. No one can't do a proper job if not trained, right? His problem is not whether she trains, his worry is he wants to stick to his rules, but he can't. Whenever he's with Mia all reason leaves him, and he's scared to get lost in a love spell. His only other option is to have someone else train her in the art of BDSM, ha! As if he'd do it.

Whew! What a ride! I enjoyed Mia's Submission as a quick,sexy read. Mia's Submission is a story about Mia Lavendar who is slated for a Vice President job but must first understand the submissive mind in order to cater to the clientele of the Satin Rose Experience BDSM club. In doing so, she discovers her own submissive need with Asher. This is much more than one night of training.
This is a book easily finished in one sitting with lots of submissive action and some BDSM elements. The action moves quickly as the characters already have some rapport. Mia and Asher explore their roles and set us up for the next books in the series.
This is a good set up book for what to expect in the series. The characters are sexy, but still have some internal conflicts to deal with. The sex and BDSM action is hot.
I would recommend this book for a quick read, when you want something hot and now.
This is a book easily finished in one sitting with lots of submissive action and some BDSM elements. The action moves quickly as the characters already have some rapport. Mia and Asher explore their roles and set us up for the next books in the series.
This is a good set up book for what to expect in the series. The characters are sexy, but still have some internal conflicts to deal with. The sex and BDSM action is hot.
I would recommend this book for a quick read, when you want something hot and now.

A quick and sexy read, perfect for one sitting, this is a skillful portrayal of a couple as they test the waters of a new relationship. Bunino captures perfectly feelings present in the start of any relationship: the mixture of mystery and lust that makes that time so exciting. A well-matched couple, Asher and Mia challenge each other and bring undeniable heat to the pages. The story flows easily, and the sex is steamy, sensual, and electric.
With the perfect backdrop of the hotel, and the promise of new and interesting characters to come, I am very eager to read more in the Satin Rose Experience series.

What a treat and what a great introduction to Sandra Bunino!
First off, I love Evernight Publishing's Romance on the Go line. In a fast pace life wearing many hats, I don't always have time to read a full length novel, but I still need to get my fix. And kudos to Sandra Bunino for putting together a great story with great characters to give me that fix.
Mia was a relatable heroine. Though everyone may not admit to the curiosity of the BDSM world, I'm sure a lot of us are curious or more. Reading Mia's progress through her first BDSM experience was incredible and with a man (Asher)who apparently has broken all of his rules for her. This was a great read and I look forward to the rest of the SRE books!

If you're looking for a hot short story with excellent writing and a little BDSM thrown in, then just pick up this book. It's the first in The Satin Rose Experience series by Sandra but not the first time you meet Asher and Mia. (Their story started in Keyboards and Kinks.)

Enjoyable read! Wish it had been longer. I'm not a fan of short stories for the most part, would love to see full length in this series!
