In the first book Tara found out her husband had lost all their money and had cheated on her with a woman the same age as her daughter. Married right after college and with no employable skills, Tara found herself adrift. After settling into the cottage she inherited from a distant aunt, Tara met Will, a man from her past. They’re getting to know each other all over again. This time she’s taking things slow.

When Evan loses his job, the one his boss assured him was secure, he and Emily have a baby on the way and have to make some hard choices.

Her daughter Ally finally ended a toxic relationship and decided to move to Blueberry Hill to be close to her mom, and to start over yet again. When a new neighbor moves in, Ally is the only one in town who doesn’t recognize the major league baseball star.

Then there’s Christina, the youngest daughter. Things have been tense with her family since she sided with her dad. But when she lands a new job and is suddenly secretive and busy on the weekends, everyone wonders if there’s someone new in her life? And if so, why isn’t she telling them who it is?

Things are going well until there are a series of break-ins around town. And then Tara’s ex-husband, youngest daughter, and Ryan show up, and suddenly everyone in town is talking.

Cynthia Luhrs spends her time out on the deck, looking out over the mountains, imagining what if. I liked this book.
The characters were well fleshed out and diversified.
I had to reread Blueberry Hill because I couldn’t remember the small details.
Tara’s ex was a real piece of work.
He fathered a boy while he was living with Tara. When the child’s mother is killed he won’t even acknowledge him.
His half sister Christine takes him in and cares for this abandoned 15 year old.

The siblings are all in crisis and contemplate moving in with Mum, Tara.
Tara reconnects with a high school beau .
Allie meets a man, Christina can’t afford her apartment in Miami , Evan is a workaholic by just like his father and his pregnant wife is ticked ,doesn’t like her absentee husband and wants to move,
Sounds like a regular soap eh?

If you like Nickolas Sparks I think you will like this novel.

sweet story but needs a better proofreader. One minute Ally is teaching how to make spaghetti and on the next page it's fajitas. SMH
The author spends alot of time talking about what people are wearing. Also rehashes parts of the story, such as telling about how the boy rescued the dog over again. Several story lines you can see what's coming. All in all pretty predictable.

I love this series. She paints such wonderful pictures of the setting for the novels that you want to pick up and move there. But you have to feel somewhat sorry for a woman who starts over only to have all her adult children and then some, move in with her.
