Oh, and I’m an avid people watcher, I just love to watch people, their mannerisms, and their way of expressing their thoughts… weird I know, but I could spend hours doing that. It's funny, because watching people often gives me insights and inspiration for describing human interaction in my books.
Fun fact: My favourite, bestest place ever on earth? Any of the Florida theme parks and the mad coasters out there. Add the food, shopping and weather, and you've got the best place on earth... especially when I see the joy on the faces of my family when we're out there :)
Weird fact: Spending an afternoon in a mortuary to bring my books to life. Oops! poor choice of words there :)

The newest entry in the DCI Karen Heath series is a dark, twisty, captivating thriller that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, not even realizing you're holding your breath. Mr. Nadal explores some of the darkest reaches of the human psyche, and it's not a pretty picture. The characters here are realistic, relatable, multi-faceted, and, after eleven books, feel like people I could know in real life. The details of the crimes and police procedures are handled well and ring true to life. There is plenty of tension, suspense, and action and be forewarned, once you start reading you aren't going to want to stop until you reach the last page. I highly recommend this series for lovers of police procedurals and thrillers.

Probably the most gruesome murders of young girls that Karen and her team have had to investigate. A harrowing experience for all of them with no clues as to the killer.
And just to keep Karen and Jay under pressure, a very good friend from the MET Police had been in a bit and run and is fighting for his life. Also a hardened criminal from their past is in the country.
Another thoroughly enjoyable read that keeps you hooked until the end. Obviously we are not at the end of this cracking series!

very disturbing…
But compelling as well, somebody once told me this - “what one person imagines another can do.” - I sincerely hope in this story that’s not true. Such unnecessary brutality and horror.
Karen Heath, Jade and the team are a good mix of characters, at times I felt they shouldn’t be stopping in the cafes and should be doing more to find the three girls.

Congratulations Jay on yet another brilliantly written book which I Absolutely enjoyed reading. I have read all of your books and Absolutely enjoyed each and every one of them. I would definitely recommend to other avid readers like me 😊📖

Good storyline, and the detectives through the book tried to save the girls. There are lots of twists and struggles to solve the case, but evidence is the key.

There's not much I can say because I'm not going to reveal any spoilers, but boy, these books are so darn good. DCI Karen Heath and her team just captivate me. Just read the 1st one and you'll be hooked.

Another great story, can’t believe how cruel people are. Will Karen ever get peace? Hope this series continues
