Rate this book
"Author Nicole Ricci has crafted a warm memoir where readers are invited to embark on a soul-stirring journey alongside what swiftly feels like a deeply trusted friend. The major highlight of the narrative for me was how genuine and relatable the author is, drawing readers into her world with warmth and authenticity." -K.C. Finn, Readers' Favorite

THE PERFECT BLEND OF A RAW MEMOIR AND DOWN TO EARTH SELF-HELP

We all have stories to tell. We all have wounds that have healed, and wounds that still ache. We all have memories that evoke joy. We have all faced grief. We have all learned lessons.

In her debut book, Nicole Ricci explores the lessons she’s earned the hard way as she navigates entering midlife. In this memoir in vignettes, she takes you on her journey through introspection, facing bitter truths, loss, healing, self-celebration, and unbecoming what she doesn’t want to be. Lessons Earned began as journal entries, which have been turned into easy-read snapshots of personal experiences, each ending with thought provoking life lessons – big and small.

Offering a mix of wit, insight, and heart, you’ll be inspired to embrace your own messy, imperfect experiences and extract your own lessons. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll get a little dose of practical wisdom.

Nicole’s storytelling style has a unique way of making you feel like you’ve just spent a few hours talking with a friend. It is sure to make you think and want to share it with loved ones.

What a great memoir. It's such an easy read. I could have finished this book in one sitting, but I wanted to absorb each chapter and savor what was being said and what lesson was earned. Could I relate? There were so many topics that I could relate to.

This book is a great example of how our lives may be different, but yet, so much the same and so relatable.

I highly recommend this memoir. I've already flipped to the beginning to read it again. What a great first book by Nicole Ricci.

GOOD IS NOW!!!

The vignettes in the book are just down home sweet memories! I’ve always been gonna…journal, work out more, take that alone trip to Cali, sleepover with my sibs, learn to paint, needlepoint more, get strength training…..always! So I’m going to take the chapter names of each story, get one of my beautifully decorated empty journals, line my pens up just right, get my favorite mug, go to the hummingbird garden and right! GOOD IS TODAY, RIGHT NOW!! What beautiful, touching sweet life stories-in just 10 years! I absolutely flew through this jewel! I’m going to write now!!
