Trying Times is a powerful story about a marriage several years in, when the initial sparks have faded, and true partnership emerges, were the spouses walk through the challenges life tosses their way.

The novel picks up a few years after The Finish Line concludes. In the aftermath of the end of Donny's racing career, financial pressures settle in, which sets the story into motion. Early in the novel, dual storylines keep the reader in suspense. The resolution of these issues ignite a chain of events, and the reader has the opportunity to walk, side by side, with a relatable couple through a year of hardship, ethical questions, and enduring faith. MIchelle Sutton is back, and I loved this new story!
