Victor H. Royer is the author of hundreds of magazine feature articles and columns on casino gaming. Since 1984, his column has been in continuous publication in numerous national and international magazines and publications. He is also the author of several major books, and a series of several booklets, on casino games, all of which have been hugely popular since their release in the 1990’s.

His new series of books from Kensington begins with the January 2003 release of "Powerful Profits from Blackjack", followed by "Powerful Profits from Slots" in March. Each two months, beginning from January 2003, a new book by Victor H. Royer will be released by Kensington throughout 2003 and 2004.

Formerly a writer in Hollywood, and then a professional gambler, Mr. Royer spent a decade as a consultant to the gaming industry, working primarily as a casino and operational efficiency consultant for many of the world’s largest casinos and casino corporations, and gaming machine manufacturers.

Mr. Royer is also an accomplished speaker, and his wildly humorous presentations on casino games, and the business of gaming, have entertained audiences in Las Vegas for many years. Today, Mr. Royer is semiretired, working primarily as an author. In his new series of books from Kensington, he shares his vast knowledge and insider's secrets about casinos and casino games.

Privately, he enjoys a good game of live poker, and can often be found among the many customers at the various poker games in Las Vegas. You may even find him dealing a few hands every now and then, since he is also quite handy with a deck of cards.

Not too enlightening. Don't waste your time

This book is for novices. No real poker strategy expounded upon. Do I need someone to telle that if I'm on a losing streak to "slow down?" Or if the streak continues, I should "quit?" Or only play the best 20 hands? Do I care that the author has a pet peeve with the design of decks? Sadly, this is one of the only poker books the public library in area has.
