I found Gabaldon a little to long winded for me. Some of the things that she wrote about I found myself thinking, did I really need to know this.. and when this kind of thing happens to me I do what I did with this book, got about half way then put it down.
How did I miss this one? Interesting that the first STARZ episode was taken directly from the book. Not much effort to the writing of the screenplay...
Really enjoyed this book (I know I am behind) because it deals with so many things that interest me: History, Scotland, Ancient Religions, and the role of women in war and in historic governance. Good for those of us who read in volume because there are so many more to follow when this is done. I read the first, took a break with lighter fare, then read the second. Looking forward to more.
Whoa.....going back to the 17th century....Claire was amazing fitting in!!! Great story and now I must see what the next book is.mmmmmm Will check my CD
