A behind-the-scenes look at the marital woes of the British royal family reveals all of the scandalous details. By the authors of 'Heiress: The Story of Christina Onassis'.
This was of course, written long ago, when Diana was still alive. At the time, the info in this book was probably shocking but we all know this stuff now. It's a quick read. I must say, back in the day, I admired Diana for her particular girl- next-door beauty and her style. I admired Fergie for her sense of humor and obvious love of Andrew (and her wedding dress was more beautiful than Diana's). After reading this, I don't admire any of the British royals. I feel some pity for the Queen and for Charles. At least Edward and William seem to have avoided scandal but otherwise...Naaah.
For those of a certain age who watched the series Dallas some years ago, this is the English version, set not in Southfork but in Buckingham Palace!
Sensational, fascinating and scandalous, the authors have put together the full facts about all that went on to finish the Charles/Diana marriage, the Andrew/Sarah Ferguson marriage and lots more besides.
Whether one is a royalist or not, it makes gripping reading.
Oddly, I rather enjoyed this book. All the details of Charles and Di and their split. Since it was written well before her death it was an interesting perspective. Kind of like knowing the end of the story while reading it.
