Atop a tower, with the sky lit by shooting stars, Nanna and Luveigh finally confessed their feelings for one another. And now with the hero's curse healed, sex can be an act of pleasure, not patriotism--especially with Luveigh now able to bring his powers to the bedroom. But just as the two start to settle into their steamy daily lives together, their pasts start to catch up to them. The leader of Luveigh's former organization has infiltrated the capital, prompting him to take action. Meanwhile, Isabella Wheyer, Nanna's former mistress, confronts her with a new bone to pick. It's not happily ever after for the couple yet!
These two don't do well apart, though it's understandable as we learn more about Luveigh's past why he's so worried about Ash. Unfortunately, Nanna is unaware that she's already met this mysterious brother or the danger he may represent. Given how protective Luveigh is against known threats like Nanna's previous employer and the steps the knights are taking behind the scenes to restore her own family and holdings, it will likely be rather dramatic when Luveigh gets wind of this newest encounter and Nanna collapsing. Given the way her gift works, it doesn't seem like it would be much help her own healing.

I kinda felt that the two volumes before were enough. I know some loopholes need to be filled in but I was okay with it. This volume is still good and cute though. We get Nanna patiently waiting for Luveigh as he continues working a secret mission but his brother is introduced as the villain and poisons our girl. That’s basically it until the next volume. 🤷♀️ until next time.

my eyes started to glaze over a little bit.....the plot isn't the strongest and a lot of the antagonists are almost comically evil/dramatic lol. but I like the main couple enough to see this through for at least one more volume.
