Actual rating is 3.5 stars.

This is a one off collection that tells an adventure of Jango Fett. In this one Jango is hired to retrieve a stolen item that represents two opposing sides of a planet. If this item is not recovered war is inevitable.

This easily exceeded my expectations as I was not expecting much. I think Jango is overrated and I sort of figured the adventure would amount to nothing much. I was right about the actual adventure. The stakes have been seen many times in this galaxy. Two opposing sides that might end up in a war. Instead of a Jedi saving the day it was Jango. The reason I liked it as much as I did was the use of other characters that were involved in the adventure. I also liked the conclusion of the adventure that was a nice tie in to the prequel movies. Once again the artwork is top notch. Disney has screwed up many things with this universe but for the most part they have had excellent artists working on their comics.

I was not expecting much so this was a pleasant surprise for me. The easter eggs were well done. The overall story was nothing special. Where this collection excelled was the little winks of the eye that were tributes to other works from this universe. Overall I liked this collection and I would read more about this character because of this collection.

I definitely give this book a strong 4, I felt like rating it a little higher, just not enough for 5 stars. A very good Jango Fett adventure. Good artwork and a good story with lots of layers.

A planet at war between its two dominant species. The Republic has donated a priceless artefact with ties to both species to help facilitate the peace process. When it is stolen, both sides blame the other. Jango Fett is hired to bring it and the thief back. Of course, bounty hunters also on the trail will try yo get rid of the competition, or is it Jango, they are particularly after? Also, how does the deadly Aurra Sing fit into this game?

The political manoeuvring in the background drops hints of things to come as well as a lot of violence and action. An all round very good book. The book finishes with a varient covers gallery.

In a period of fairly mediocre Marvel mini series lately, this was actually decent. Nothing overly amazing but still better than some we have been getting. And an interesting ending setting up what we know of the future for Jango. Curious to see what this may lead to in possible future storytelling even if this period isn't necessarily the era I'm most desperate for new stories in.

I love watching pieces come together. Love seeing content that leads up to something. This had so many ways of leading into the Phantom Menace. I really want to see more of Jango in canon. Also would love a story of Aurra’s death that was mentioned in Solo.

3.5 Stars.
Jango gets caught in the middle of a civil war on Glee Anselm and gets sent out to hunt a priceless piece of art. Aurra Sing is here too, but ultimately it leads back to the (now canon) point of how Dooku heard about Jango in the first place.
Overall, a decent read, but not the best Star Wars has to offer.
Recommend.

Loved it! I didn’t expect all the setup and the ties to The Phantom Menace, which was great. The story was compelling, full of action, and the artwork was fantastic. I’d love to see more stories featuring Jango Fett and all the bounty hunters around him.

2.5 stars. wanted to like it more but sort of jumping in on the middle of some bounty hunter action so...here we are. Others would likely give it a true three- or even four-star review. In no way a 5-star comic.

Republic peace talks between the Anselmi and the Nautolans are threatened when a statue, precious to both sides, is stolen. Jango is hired to recover the statue but faces treachery, betrayal and none other than Aurra Sing.

Since reclaiming the licence to Star Wars, Marvel have released a bunch of miniseries which are just the shallowest, surface-level explorations of the title characters.
This book is no exception. Jango Fett is a badass bounty hunter and this book sees him going around being a badass whilst hunting a bounty. And that's it. That's all there is to this book.

I would've loved to have seen some exploration of Jango's complicated links to his Mandalorian heritage, maybe a story that delves into why he's so keen to have a son, or even something that revealed the details of his history with Aurra Sing.
Nope. All that would take too much brain power.

If all you want is to see Jango in action, then this book is perfectly fine for that. I had hoped, however, for a bit more exploration of him as a character.
Still, nice to see cameo appearances by Cradossk (Bossk's dad) and C-21 Highsinger.

This graphic novel collects Jango Fett: Trail of Lost Hope iesues 1-4. The story follows Jango as he takes on the bounty of a thief. On Jaloria, the conflict between the Nautolans and Anselmi is meant to have a brokered peace with a special artifact called the Hope of Glee Anselm, sculpet from the royal jewels of both peoples before the war. This outrages some of the peoples of both sides, as they find it an abomination to have both melded together, and both sides want their jewels back. Brokered peace is harder to atain than anticipated. During this speech, the artifact is tolen! Jango aims to find the culprit, but someone else might be on a hunt for him...

I enjoyed this collection more than I anticipated. I always enjoy seeing Aurra Sing and we also get to see a young Lakano Nash, someone who enters the scene later in the Bounty Hunters series, making for a nice tie-in and addition to the history of some iconic characters in the Star Wars Universe. The art is amazing, and the story is engaging, a fun short snippet of the larger whole og Jango and Auraś bounty careers.

Star Wars: Jango Fett - Trail of Lost Hope collects issues 1-4 of the Marvel Comics miniseries written by Ethan Sack, art by Luke Ross, and colors by Nolan Woodard.

The Anselmi and Nautolan species of the planet Glee Anselm are at the boiling point of war. During what was supposed to be a peace event, a symbolic sculpture signifying the two species’s shared history is stolen. With tensions high, both sides accuse the other. The Republic under the teetering leadership of Chancellor Vallorum is asked to assist in finding the artifact, but no Jedi are to be involved. Enter Jango Fett, one of the galaxy’s most effective bounty hunters who is tasked with finding the treasured Hope of Glee Anselem and prevent a war from breaking out.

It sounds like a lot of plot set-up, but it’s a fast pace intro and story set-up that is largely just dress setting for an otherwise simple story. The book is mainly Jango Fett (and another fan favorite bounty hunter from the prequel era) killing random criminals and other bounty hunters for four issues. There is very little character building in the comic and nothing from Jango’s past. The final page acts as a set-up for Attack of the Clones, but otherwise this is a largely standalone series.

The art is pretty good throughout the book with the splash pages being particularly beautiful. Ethan Sacks continues his trend of writing mediocre Star Wars comics involving bounty hunters. I would rather see someone else tackle these characters and breathe some more life into them.

I rarely comment on this, but so many of the variant covers had nothing to do with this story! Pretty sure I’ve read all the Jango Fett comics going back to the realm of Legends and Dark Horse, and this one was pretty decent all considering. I loved the variance in alien characters, the momentum of the plot, the lack of major loose threads (save for the Mirilian connection — wasn’t quite sure if that was just an agent of Dooku or something else entirely). It’s maybe not the best portrayal of Jango himself — he’s pretty chaotic and at times outmatched here and it rarely feels like he’s outsmarting anyone so much as having the plot just push him ahead. Also thought it was a bit odd to introduce a new antagonist and then…kill them off panel? If that’s even what happened? Ok, I talked myself down from a 3.5 as a 4/5 to a 3.5 as a 3/5 on this one.

This was amazing. I was really surprised as went in expecting to be disappointed as it was written by Ethan sacks who wrote the bounty hunter series. First 3 volumes of that run were great but after that he went very woke and the writing suffered for it. Thankfully this one is that the high level he can write at (shame he's so inconsistent really you would think a completely different writer took over from him on bounty hunters) the characterisation was spot on and the story was great so was the art. Anyone who has read the legends comics by dark horse with jango and boba this is just as good as them. Please Ethan do more like this not like the tail end of your bounty hunters run. Going forward it will be 50/50 with Ethan because when he's good he's great but when he's bad he's shit so my advice is look into his work before you get it

Trail of Lost Hope is secretly a prequel to Ethan Sacks' Bounty Hunters series, which should tell you something about the quality of the storytelling here. Pre-Phantom Menace, Jango Fett is tasked with finding a stolen artifact to prevent a war from breaking out on Glee Anselm. Naturally, a bunch of other characters are also looking for the artifact (why? who cares), including Aurra Sing, who seems to be included mostly to remind readers that she exists.

There are some obvious twists (the artifact wasn't stolen by thieves but by one of the warring parties!) and Jango Fett tangles with foes in ways that are now predictable after having watched The Mandalorian. The dialogue is cringe-inducing. The only saving grace is the fantastic artwork - crisp, clear, action scenes with great Star Wars settings.

When a precious artifact is stolen, endangering Chancellor Vellorum's attempts to bring peace talks to opposing peoples on one planet, bounty hunter Jango Fett is hired to track down the thief and recover the statue. But someone has sprung Aurra Sing from prison and sent her to take out Fett. In fact, everywhere Fett travels in search of his bounty, he runs into other bounty hunters and agent bent on stopping him.
Not a bad story, though trying to make Jango Fett out to be a somewhat sympathetic character, I mean, really? His self-centered and somewhat evil persona from Attack of the Clones is the only way he should ever be depicted. 3.5/5*

This was a super fun series!! I enjoyed seeing some Aurra Sing as we don’t usually get anything from her, aswell as some awesome action from Jango! This also helps set up pieces of episode 2, especially in the last issue. It also gave us more of an insight into the state of Valorums public image, which aids episode 1! I’m not usually the biggest fan of bounty hunters in Star Wars but I had a blast with this run!

A good-looking and fun comic series that is pretty much exactly what I want from a Jango Fett comic. Each issue had good moments, and I enjoyed the artwork throughout the whole run. I also liked the tie-in it had with the Bounty Hunters comics down the line. I do wish it had been an issue or two longer, but I often feel that way about 4-issue series.

A straight forward Star wars story. A space heist with some aliens and the hero has has some twists and turns along the way but it is a fun story, if you like star wars. I enjoyed the characters and heist story, plenty of action too. I feel like they might be trying to start up a jango fett franchise, which could be OK, maybe...Art is good enough.

A nice little mystery story. Jango gets embroiled in a job that has a few more twists than he's used to. All in all I liked it just fine, but I love the story from the Bounty Hunter video game and this steps on that story a bit. It's just a pet peeve of mine.

The art is great and the story works.

Perfectly good read.

Covers are nice.
Story was better than I expected. It seems like it has a sequel to tell, revealing who hired Aurra Singh through the Judicial. Or was that Dooku?

Interior art and colours were good.
Worth reading. I'd go digitally.

Ethan Sacks is one of the writers who consistently writes good Star Wars stories. I'm not familiar with artist Luke Ross's other work, but the art was cool and really brought out the grittiness of the environments depicted.

6/10:
Nothing incredibly outstanding, but a solid story that does a great job of showcasing a few jobs that Jango Fett was hired for prior to being used as the Clone template on Kamino. Some good action and fun tie-ins to other pieces of the expansive Star Wars canon with really solid art!

A fast, fun, and highly enjoyable read. The story moves quickly without feeling rushed, and the action and pacing make it hard to put down. The tie-ins to the wider Star Wars universe were especially cool and added extra depth without weighing the story down.
