Bible Cheat Codes

Rate this book
Bible CheatCodes is a provocatively titled book about Righteousness by Faith, a subjectthat turns so many of the ideas on their head that we have by default in our mindabout the Bible, using what is actually written in the Good Book.  The concept of Righteousness by Faith wasfirst discovered by Martin Luther in the 1500's, when he discovered theScripture in Romans 1:17:  'For thereinis the righteousness of God revealed from faith to as it is written, thejust shall live by faith.'  That discoverystarted the Reformation, which rocked the world.  Then in this century others have carried onthat message and reinforced it against the legalism that has reinstated itselfin Protestantism over time.  These modernday preachers include E.W. Kenyon, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland, and AndrewWommack, to mention just a few.  The authordiscovered this concept when chronic guilt over his sin threatened to drive himback to the mental illness that Jesus had delivered him from when he was bornagain.  Now he has no guilt, and walkswith God without the help of condemnation and legalism. Althoughusing the lighthearted analogy of computer game cheat codes, this book isintended to seriously present the message of the New Testament, of freedom fromany condemnation for the believer, using copious Scripture quotations, so thereare enough portions of Scripture in the book to present the picture from theBible itself. This book includes a very important chapter emphasising the needfor walking in personal holiness, even though we don't depend on a holylifestyle to qualify us for Heaven or God's blessing in our lives.  This is a necessary stipulation we need tobalance out our perspective  after theelimination of legalism from our thinking. As Jesus put it,  'Neither do Icondemn go and sin no more.'  Readthis book and be free!
