I love it when I can correctly identify the villain but then the author makes me doubt every one of my theories. That was exactly what happened here, as she, and Trixie, led me through every motive, means, and suspect and made me constantly reconsider my answer to the question of “whodunnit?” The comedy of errors surrounding Trixie revealing her secret left me howling, both with glee and in frustration. And when all was said and done, that ending has left me positively itching to find out what’s going to happen next. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book through Booksprout.
Trixie is on the The Emerald Queenas it sets sails for a cruise for LARP. She's also the resident art teacher. She's been on the ship since she came on celebrating getting rid of her cheating ex husband of 25 years. She met Bess and Nettie onboard. She even got a boyfriend, the chief of vessel security, Ransom. Oh one tiny little detail, she can see ghosts. She's decided to let him know she can see ghosts. Wes, the captain, already knows. The pirates have taken over the ship. It's time to sail into adventure and danger. The pirates belong to a company who makes Jolly Roger Spirits. After the big speech by the owner on the trip and all the fun including a treasure hunt the owner shows up dead. In fact he falls between Trixie and Ransom just as she tells him her secret. Only he thinks she was talking about the murdered man. Then she learns of his former partner who's passed. She wonders if that's the ghost she saw in her room before all the chaos started. Well it's time to put on her pirate hat/sleuthing hat and start looking for clues and suspects starting with her not so friendly ghost. Every clue draws her closer to the killer but does it draw her closer to her own demise? Only time will tell. Another fantastic story in this series.

The mystery may have been a little light in this story. The beautiful locales and scrumptious sounds foods were front and center in the story. I am torn when i read this book between heading to my kitchen and heading out to soak up the sun. Or perhaps I will just live vicariously through the story since it comes alive for me based on the descriptions. While the mystery was light, we still had plenty of drama with the big reveal. In fact, it was definitely an LOL moment when Trixie first spilled her secret to ransom. I won't spoil it but it was one for the ages or the pages. Speaking of the pages, the author got right into the pirate theme of the book with some pirate inspired quips about the cruise and the murder. Also good for some more giggles. Trixie and Ransom remain a terrific couple and they are fortunate to be surrounding by a great group of friends. Bess and Nettie are a trip and a half with their antics. Nettie is really queen this time and you will learn why as your read. Looks like the ending is really just a new beginning with another cruise in the future. Can't wait, this is my favorite Addison Moore series.

This book is an absolute gem, a must-read for all book lovers out there. With its compelling characters and gripping plot, it's sure to captivate readers from start to finish. I was thoroughly impressed by the author's storytelling prowess and will definitely be seeking out more of their work in the future.
The writing in this book is top-notch, skillfully weaving together a tapestry of twists, turns, and shocking revelations that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. This author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, and for good reason – their ability to keep readers guessing until the very end is unparalleled.
If you're a fan of books that leave you breathless with anticipation and stunned by their endings, then look no further. This author delivers in spades, crafting a story that is as enjoyable as it is unforgettable. I cannot recommend this book highly enough – it truly has something for everyone.
In short, I absolutely loved this book. It had everything I could possibly want in a read and more. Trust me when I say, once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down.

The Emerald Queen of the Seas sets sail for the Caribbean with a shipload of pirates celebrating Jolly Roger Spirits. Trixie’s plan to let Ransom in on her secret is hijacked by the latest death aboard ship. With a ghost with snakes for a beard haunting her and the shenanigans of her septuagenarian sidekicks, can Trixie solve this case and convince Ransom of her supernatural abilities? Or is she steering her relationship with the sexy security chief straight into the rocks?
Another laugh out loud cozy by the prolific Addison Moore. You’ll feel as if you’re onboard the Emerald Queen with this quirky cast of characters. Ms. Moore excels at painting vivid descriptions of the destinations as well as shipboard life with her writing. Free spirited and fun loving Nettie and Bess steal every scene they’re in. The mystery itself is pretty straightforward, but just like the ship itself, the fun is in getting to the destination. And with an unexpected ending, the scene is set for Trixie’s next adventure.

All aboard the Emerald Queen! Trixie Troublefield is the resident Art teacher and sleuth extraordinaire. Avast me hearties when she sets sail with a group of swashbuckling Larpers aboard…There’s immersive role playing and there’s being immersed into it !…. When the ship takes on the role of a buccaneer’s swashbuckling vessel , there’s role playing aplenty . But there’s at least one of the party who isn’t going to see the return journey… All at sea and immersed in mystery again on the Caribbean Sea, Trixie sets out to solve the mystery as the ship navigates the treacherous waters of doom. Brilliant , immersive mystery that’s a killer to put down. Perfect prose with on the nose descriptions and awesome characters.

It was supposed to be a fun cruise with a pirate theme, but someone took things a bit too far. Now our heroin has a new mystery to solve before anyone else visits Davy Jones locker.
This is book eight of the series, but each story is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required.
This is a cozy mystery with a dose of the paranormal thrown in for good measure. The story is well written and easy to read with a wonderful heroine who just wants her guests to enjoy themselves, but instead has another murder to solve. The mystery was a good one and everything moved at a nice pace providing a very enjoyable experience. Overall, a fun story and I look forward to visiting our heroine again.
Highly recommended.

Trixie and the "crew" are in the Caribbean. They're ready to have a good time with the Pirates... Yes, there are lots of pirates on the ship! They're part of a large group of enactors dressed in pirate gear and scanty, torn dresses and beautiful jewelry for the wenches. They're all ready and roaring for a good time drinking and treasure hunting! Unfortunately, there's a death on the ship. Trixie is searching for clues so that she can figure out who the killer is. The only thing is that her boyfriend Ransom, and Wes, the Captain don't want her to get involved... You'll love this story as they make their way through exotic ports, interesting tours, and great times on the ship!.

Well, ahoy maty! heading to Barbados and more, The ladies have quite the adventure. Pirates have taken over the ship. This group offers entertainment and merriment. However, there is a murderer aboard, and , you guessed it! A murder of the pirate captain. Trixie meets the pirate captain's dead partner. Will he be able to help? Trixie is going to try to tell Random that she can see ghosts. Bess and Netti are up to their hysterically funny antics. Always a hoot! Will Trixie and Random find the murderer before the end of the cruise? I really wish I was actually on this ship. The food! Ms. Moore has such a way in describing it, I got hungry! My ideal retirement space, if I was rich, would be living on a cruise ship. can you imagine that?
The cruise ship is in the Caribbean this go around, and full of LARP'ers - Live Action Role Play - dressed as pirates!! But when the lead pirate ends up dead, Trixie is determined to help solve the murder. Also, she's decided that it's time to tell her supernatural secret to Ransom, but every time she does, he thinks she's playing him. Going to wonderful islands and still having fun, she works hard to figure out how Roger, the deceased, was not only killed but who did the dastardly deed. Things get a little tricky and dangerous, but thankfully the ghost that Trixie has helping her is able to save the day AND help her with Ransom.
Loved this book! Can't wait to see what's next in store for Trixie, Ransom, Wes, Bess and Nettie!
The Emerald Queen is hosting a Larp cruise for Jolly Rogers and their Pirate Crew. The Caribbean destinations feature sun, fun, and murder. Trixie Troublefield is finally ready to tell Ransom her secret. She just hopes it doesn’t make her relationship with him as dead as the victim.
This is an enjoyable mystery. The descriptive writing made the scenes come to life. Having the investigation limited to the length of the cruise adds a sense of urgency to the investigation. I like how the story gives little snippets into the killer’s mind. The recipes at the end of the book made my mouth water! I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
This is a fun cozy murder mystery staring Trixie and a cast of pirates wannabes on a cruise ship. Trixie has a secret, the ability to see and talk to certain ghosts, ones who need her help in solving murder mysteries. I enjoyed the author's detailed descriptions of the ghost, cruise ship amenities and the LARPers costumes and games. Lighthearted humor sprinkled throughout the story, quirky friends, some romance along with an interesting murder mystery made for a fun quick read book.

Mystery awaits as the Emerald Queen embarks on a LARPing journey where death will find one unlucky cruise-goer. It will take one amateur sleuth/art instructor to investigate the clues and try to find a killer before she has to "walk the plank". With Trixie's secret out to Ransom now, will he still want to be with her, or will their relationship go the way of "Davy Jones’s Locker"? Read this, the 8th book in the Cruising Through Midlife series to find out, and enjoy the hijinks along the way with Trixie, Nettie, and Bess!.
Trixie has a new mystery to solve in this swashbuckling adventure that can be read as a standalone. There are a lot of shenanigans to deal with and lava cakes to consume. There is also a very satisfying ending. Trixie, Ransom and friends make a good team and I am looking forward to their future adventures as the body count continues to rise on The Emerald Queen.

Come along with Trixie the ghost seeing art teacher and her sidekicks for another murder mystery. Addison Moore's Pirates of the Caribbean Cruise is full of romance, mystery and a tale that kept my interest til the end of the story. The story contains twists and turns, leaving me guessing until the end who the killer was. So, if you enjoy a good clean murder mystery step right up for the ride.

Trixie and her friends are on a pirate-themed cruise in the Caribbean when the head pirate suddenly falls dead in front of them. It's up to the gang to solve the mystery before the cruise is finished. This is an enjoyable, cozy mystery with a rather straightforward mystery and plenty of laughs along the way.

This was a lot of fun, well, except for the dead buccaneer! This is the first book that I have read in this series, boy, have I been missing out! This was captivating, I couldn't or wouldn't put it down. It was so enjoyable to be able to laugh out loud from a book, not just a giggle, but an actual guffaw!! I am now a serious fan of this author and will definitely be catching up on the stories I have yet to read. I am SO excited!
We are back with Trixie in Pirates of the Caribbean Cruise book eight in the Cruising Through Midlife series. Although each book can be read as standalone I recommend you read all the books in this murder mystery series. From the unexpected twists and secrets revealed to the humor and great murder mystery storyline, this is a good addition to the series. I look forward to reading the next Trixie adventure. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This will be short, sweet and straight to the point.
I loved this tory. The characters were great, the story was well written, the plot was decently paced and didn't lag anywhere, and the thrills were exciting. I had a greeat time reading it and I look forward to reading more.
Pirates of the Caribbean, Cruise ship.cozy mystery book 8
This is a great serious. Funny, romantic, usually a murder to solve and a ghost. Characters are so endearing. Those 2 older ladies especially Nettie will keep you laughing. Just don't know how they stay so thin with all that food.
A wonderful book by author Addison Moore. I love reading all of her books. They always have awesome characters and great plots that draw you right in. And this one didn't disappoint. Loved reading and highly recommend...

I really enjoy reading this series. Tricks is a treasure and most of the other characters (except Tinsley) make me laugh. I'm glad that the "Secret" has been revealed to Ransom. There's still a part of me that Wes was the partner picked. Ransom is hot though, so onward and upward they say. Arr! Anchors away.😀
Trixie has a ghost , LARPers , a group who dress up like pirates , and a murder to solve on this cruise. I like the LARPers. They are funny and sincere about acting like pirates on a treasure hunt. Good plot that kept me guessing who the murderer is. Does Trixie finally tell Ransom she sees ghosts?
In this book, we get pirates taking over the Emerald Queen. Which was a pretty good set of players against the cruise being set in the Caribbean. Trixie and all the rest are finding the pirate gang a little wilder than the previous customers. But this was such a fun book.
I really enjoyed this latest murder mystery on board the cruise ship. Trixie tries repeatedly to tell Ransom about her abilities seemingly to no avail whilst they try to discover a killer amongst the pirate partygoers. Fun as always. Loved the Trip blog and agony aunt notes.
This is a fun series of books. you never know what Trixie and her co-harts are going to get up to. The only part I don't care for is the amount of food the supposedly eat. I just skip that part. Another great series by Addison Moore.
I laughed, I cried, I trembled, and I sighed. This book truly had it all. It was interesting, it was romantic, and filled with some secrets I didn't see. Ms. Moore has a very talented pen and I remain entranced.
This story was perfect for me--it had mystery, humor, the paranormal and romance--what more can one ask for. I was so glad to see a book from this series that I had not read. Great story, great characters. Strongly recommend reading.
