5fingers centres on Rachel Race, a troubled 16-year-old loner, and trainee reporter Lake Emerson, who stumble upon a demonic scheme to destroy humanity. Other characters include mystical adventurer Caleb Noble, Benson Steel, a hard-nosed businessman and a dark force known as Samyaza. The series explores themes of blackmail, betrayal and isolation, as well as hope, freedom and friendship.

The plot spans the globe, taking place in the UK, Nepal, Eastern Europe, New York, Bolivia, Tanzania and China, with the action overflowing into the Mezzanine: a spectacular world with shape-shifters and spawners, where angels and demons war against each other.

Even though the author is really nice and some passages are well-written and entertaining, I found really difficult to stay focus on the story. there are so many different point of views which confused me sometimes.
