Elena does a wonderful job explaining and connecting all of Jesus' parables to their time, and, in doing so, she uncovers their more profound meaning. The book is easy to read, well-researched and very enjoyable. I chose to read Elena's version because she is a devoted Christian who is not a member of the clergy and the different perspectives that she offers.
