The rules that kept me alive are the same ones that made me prey.
For ten years, I’ve lived by three rules—stay quiet, stay hidden, and don’t make a sound. But I let myself believe I was finally safe, and now I’m running for my life in the pouring rain.
In a world where Omegas are sought-after prizes, I thought I’d mastered survival. Until masked Alphas catch me, each as dangerous as they are sinful. They’re retrievers, men who steal back what was wrongfully taken, and they make me an offer I can’t refuse—help them with a heist, or they’ll turn me over to my toxic ex.
I never meant to get caught up in their world of dangerous games. Never meant to uncover secrets better left buried. But with my danger approaching and my past closing in, I’m running out of options and people to trust.
Some rules are meant to be broken. I just hope these don’t get me killed.
Pack Obsession is a STANDALONE BOOK. It's contemporary romance featuring touch-her-and-die, forced proximity, found family, and protective men who blur the lines between right and wrong. Contains morally gray characters, possessive themes, and intense situations.
It started with a crash, went to a recovery, then settled into must protect. Casey is strong omega that has been taught to run when needed, until she couldn’t. Then she learned to rely on three yummy, growly and determined alphas. Can Casey overcome her past and let Logan, Alex and Nash save her? Can Alex, Logan and Nash overcome their brokenness? Will Julian get his “fated” back? Oooo, no spoilers from me. THIS IS A MUST READ to find out all the juicy details!
I really enjoyed this book, the characters and the storyline! The guys are morally gray and are dangerously protective over Casey. Casey is sweet but us no pushover and can take care of herself but she does need the guys’ help to keep her from her psycho ex. It is interesting to see that this is where the car crash originated in the girls’ shared stories. Lots of steam and plenty of action!
Another great addition to this shared world. This is Casey's story about how she meets her matches after the bus crash and how they save her and well she saves them. I absolutely love this world
I loved Logan, Axel, and Nash. Their retrieval company put them in the morally gray zone. They did some good, but there was also a criminal element that, I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed very much. The guys fell fast, and they fell hard. They were all in with Casey almost from the first moment, completely possessive and protective. I loved how they were with her and with each other. There's no MM, but they are a close pack who love each other like brothers. I enjoyed their playfulness and how Casey was included too. I appreciated that Casey wasn't a pushover. She questioned things, including herself, and she was very willing to rescue herself if need be. Another great relationship is represented between Casey and her brother. They had the saddest and sweetest story that pulled at my heartstrings.
The situation went from a kidnapping to a protection detail really quickly. That means we forced proximity and I love forced proximity when the characters get all cozy together and feelings start to develop. This story is mildly dark, so the characters actually share some pretty deep moments with each other, sharing about their past, both good and bad. All while hiding out from a psychopathic ex and shady government officials. I also enjoyed the more exciting elements like car chases and the planning of a heist. The plot twist was perfection, a complete shocker, and things only get more exciting from there.
One thing I can say is that I was never bored reading Pack Obsession. The pages just flew by. I loved Casey's story, and the epilogue was the best. It has me curious about the coming books.
I loved this book in Lioras omegaverse. I read Danicas story in Pack Fever and was looking forward to seeing what happens with the other omegas she was with.
This is Casey's story and it starts out with a prologue and history of the start of the emotional trauma that Casey has to go through to become the sassy strong omega she is today (although it takes her awhile to get there).
The MMCs are all your standard alphas but, very protective and over the top obsessed (in a good way) for Casey.
The story's main plot is where 3 alphas (all with past military history or technical smarts) do your odd jobs that typically go according to plan until they take a job to obtain an omega for the worst alpha ever (I mean we're talking psychotic, deranged, and evil alpha) who wants Casey and not in a good way. He'll do anything to get her back after she ran away from him.
The story has a lot of character development and shows how Casey struggles to overcome her designations biology weakness (or what she perceives as a weakness). That's where the 3 alphas (Logan, Nash, and Axel) come in and show her she's not weak but, strong for having overcome everything she's been through and still stay strong because of it. However, they have to take care of that psychotic alpha before they can ever dream of a HEA. Will they make it or not? You'll just have to read and find out! Trust me, Liora knows how to take care of the characters she writes about!
Casey’s journey in Pack Obsession is nothing short of empowering. Starting with a gripping prologue that delves into the trauma that shapes her, we watch as Casey evolves from a vulnerable omega to the sassy, strong woman she is today. Her transformation is a testament to resilience, and while it takes time, her growth is incredibly satisfying to witness.
She refuses to let her past define her, standing tall and taking no crap from anyone. She’s fierce, independent, and unapologetically herself, which made her a captivating lead I couldn’t get enough of. And let’s not forget the male leads—absolutely yummy! The insta-love dynamic is there, but it’s handled in a way that’s balanced, not overwhelming, which I really appreciated.
While there are some darker elements in the story, they only serve to heighten the drama and intrigue, without crossing into the territory of a true dark romance. The balance between tension and heart makes this Omegaverse reverse harem romance a thrilling ride. With complex characters, unexpected plot twists, and a fast-paced narrative, you’ll find yourself glued to the pages, eagerly turning to see what happens next.
I’m already hoping for books featuring Jess and Casey’s brother, Kai. If you love action-packed romance with a strong, relatable heroine and swoon-worthy men, don’t miss this one!
As always, this review is completely voluntary, and I’ve received no monetary compensation. The opinions expressed are entirely my own.
This was just so good. Number 3 in a series of Standalone interconnected romances. It isn't necessary to read the other books but I think if you read Pack Fever book number 1 first, you get more of an idea about why the girls were on the bus that crashed and who Nexus are and why the girls were so anxious to escape them. After a bus crash Casey runs for her life, this is the only chance she will get to escape being placed in a Nexus facility which is something no Omega wants. Only she finds herself running from and being captured by two huge masked men who have been hired by her stalker ex to bring her back. There are actually three Alphas in this group who plan to turn her over to her ex but when she manages to convince them everything with her ex isn't what they have been led to believe will she be able to strike a deal for her safety and freedom? This book was really good. I like Pack Fever but this one was even better ( I haven't read book 2 ....yet!) I love the way the stories interconnect... In the first book towards the end Danica sees Casey escape on the back of an unknown mans bike. Well we see how this comes about its like a jigsaw puzzle being pieced together. I loved the characters in this story, Casey was a fiesty leading lady, the 3 men were tough, swoony and growly, just how I like them! Great plot, just the perfect book!
‘Deep down, I know I’m already in too deep. Every touch, every look, every moment pulls me further into their world. They’re warriors, protectors, men who’ve seen and done things I can barely imagine. And here I am, a runaway, just trying to survive. Each day I spend with them only highlights how much I don’t belong in their world, even as my heart tells me I’ve already lost too much to set myself up for loss.’
Liora Rose continues to write about a group of Omegas who are seeking safety, yet find themselves surrounded by Alphas that will change their worlds, in the Love Knot War Omegaverse Romance series.
Casey has just survived a bus crash, where she and 3 of her Omega friends were being sent to be chosen by Alphas without her consent. Even as she struggles to find a way out of ger predicament, a set of 3 alphas rescue/taker her from the scene of the crash. She soon learns this group of men actually staged the crash so they could return her to her abusive ex.
Logan, Axel and Nash have a lucrative business ‘retrieving’ items for money. Things change once they spend timr with Casey and her survival becomes their priority.
This standalone is complemented by the stories of the other Omegas finding their packs, in subsequent books in the series!
I loved Pack Obsession! From the first chapter, I was completely hooked on Casey’s story. She’s not your typical omega—she’s tough, stubborn, and refuses to let anyone dictate her fate. Even after everything she’s been through, she doesn’t just roll over and accept her circumstances. She fights for her freedom, for her choices, and for the life she deserves.
Then there’s Logan, Nash, and Axel—three protective, possessive alphas who start off on the wrong side of things but quickly realize Casey is everything. I loved how they didn’t just see her as fragile or in need of saving. Instead, they admired her strength and helped her see it for herself. Their dynamic had the perfect mix of tension, banter, and that slow, simmering heat that kept me glued to the pages.
The plot kept me on my toes with action, danger, and just the right amount of darkness to keep things interesting. And once the romance fully ignites? Absolute perfection. The emotions, the intensity, the spice—it all hits just right.
This book was impossible to put down, and now I need more from this world! If you’re looking for a fast-paced, high-stakes romance with a strong heroine and fiercely devoted alphas, Pack Obsession is a must-read!
This is a standalone book but has some characters from other books. After the bus taking the Omega’s to the Nexus center crashes, Casey is running for her life, but she ultimately gets captured and taken to another holding place. When she was young, she was hidden away while her parents were killed in the house with her, but she was told later that they had died in a car accident. Thankfully, her older brother was able to take care of her and hide her away so she wouldn’t get taken.
Now she has ended up with men who ultimately have been paid to kidnap her and take her to her absolute worst nightmare – her ex boyfriend Julian who wants her back since she got away. Julian was horrible and abused her, and she refuses to go and instead makes a deal with the men who took her (Logan, Nash and Axel) to work with them on their heists. Initially they don’t want to do it, but eventually they realize that they are all smitten with her and would rather tell Julian she got away than give her to them.
But Julian isn’t one to give up, and the fight that happens was horrible!!!
I absolutely loved the spice in this book as well as all the action and drama. Definitely a book to read!
Standalone Omegaverse RH ‘Napping turned into protecting
Our FMC, Casey, is an omega. She follows her mother’s and her brother’s advice- always be ready to run and hide. Casey is running from her psychotic ex- Julian.
While on the run, her bus gets hit by a vehicle. As she is struggling with the Nexus guard, Casey sees a strange man in black who knocks over the Nexus guard so she can get away. Turns out it’s not just one guy, but three Alphas: Axel, Logan and Nash.
The three alphas start off by kidnapping her for Julian, the ex who claims she is his fated mate. In reality Julian is a cruel, vicious, sadistic psychopath. As soon as Casey realized how bad he was she broke it off. Too bad Julian is obsessed with Casey. So he hires the alphas to retrieve her for him…. Only while she’s in their possession they end up getting very close… One thing turns to another and they have to brave facing the trenches. Will they be able to survive together? Will Julian get Casey back or do the guys save her? Read it to find out!
Hands down was an amazing read and I couldn’t put it down!
I really enjoyed the characters of this book. our fmc did not let her weakness define her and it made her such a strong lead. she took no shit from anyone and I loved every second of it. the male leads were absolutely yummy, the insta love was there but it wasn’t too heavy which is something I prefer.
the tone of the story was overall, in a good place. the story had some elements in it that could be dark but they made the story that much better without making this story an actual dark romance.
the writing was consistent and I didn’t see any errors if any. the plot was strong and I didn’t have any plot holes. the story was pretty logical, I did wish to see more of the effects of the trauma but overall it did have decent representation.
but overall, I enjoyed the story thoroughly. I read this book in about 2 hours and it was a real page turner!
I did receive this book as an arc but these are my own opinions.
this book releases january 18, 2025 and it will be on ku.
Another book and a new omega's story in this omegaverse romance series. It's time for Casey to show us who she is.
Feisty and a survivor. Casey has had some tragic moments sculpt her personality. And when the Nexus bus, she and her friends are on, is forced off the road and crashes, she protects her friends and leads the alphas (that caused the crash) away. She fights back, but is taken.
These alphas are well trained. A simple retrieval doesn't feel so simple to them once they have Casey. Is Julian an alpha just looking to get his omega mate back or is there more. I guess they'll have to get answers from the omega, the one that has had a huge impact on the pack since the moment they laid eyes on her.
I loved Casey and how she trusted her instincts. I also loved how the author broke down the characters' pasts and showed that even though they had broken pieces that they didn't have to get lost in their damage. It showed that they could grow and become something new...something stronger.
Casey follows her mother’s and her brother’s advice as an omega she was taught to always be ready to run and hide. She was running from a Nexus guard after the bus was hit by a vehicle. As she was struggling with the Nexus guard Casey sees a strange man in black that knocked over the Nexus guard so she could get away. There were three men they started off by kidnapping her for Julian that claimed she was his fated mate. In truth Julian was a cruel, vicious, sadistic psychopath, Casey had dated him and when she found out how he was she broke it off. However, Julian was obsessed with Casey, what started out for Axel, logan and Nash a simple retrieval job. Suddenly Casey became very important to them. How would Casey, Axel, Logan and Nash ever be able to make it work for them as each one was broken in their own from their life experiences. What happens when Julian takes her away from Casey, Axel, and Logan?
I absolutely flew through this standalone; the story just kept on flowing and I kept telling myself to read “just one more chapter”. The banter between all four of the main characters was exactly what I needed to make a connection with them, and the suspense and action made their story a great one. Add a nice amount of spice to the second half of this book, and you end up with everything a reader could be looking for.
There are some darker elements to the storyline, but those are related to the world these characters are living in and the side characters within this world. Casey’s three men are the perfect example of protective alpha men, who are enamored with their omega from the start (or at least a few hours later) without making their story feel like insta love.
For me, this was the perfect weekend-read, and I’m glad I had the time to really enjoy it without too much things interfering.
DNF. Force feeding information instead letting us just find it out as we go. A pack pushed together by words almost instantly and a story that takes place over a few days but is somehow all-encompassing love. An abused FMC who instantly trusts and is attracted to her captors because of course. A world that makes zero sense because nothing is explained until the story needs it to be. An FMC whose family is "from Hawaii", which is meant to describe her "exotic" features (ik for sure a white person wrote that), and her "sun-kisseed skin" (even though she hasn't been back since she was a child lol), but she's literally just a white woman with "white-blonde hair" (this is her only feature described aside from her "sun-kissed skin" and it's mentioned so often I got sick of it). She does hula once to emphasize that she's supposed to be Hawaiian and calls it the "ancient pattern". Don't make me laugh.
I really do enjoy a good Omegaverse and Pack Obsession was a really good read. I really like Lioras writing style and the characters. I had a chance to read Pack Fever with Danica and I am really looking forward to reading everyone's story. Pack Obsession is Casey's story, and one that I have been wanting to read. It did not disappoint.
Casey has had to go through some tough things to become the little baddie she is. It may have taken her a bit, but she is so there now. There is so much in this story, that I could not put down my kindle until I finished. The Main male leads are all alpha males with military history. They are so obsessed with Casey and I am loving it.
The story follows where Casey's ex has sent three alphas to get back his property. But what follows is more than Casey, Logan, Nash and Axel planned for.
Join them as Casey and her men navigate getting Casey away from her ex for good, and maybe just keep her for themselves.
I can not explain how much I love this series of books. Every single one of these books gives you all the feels and the HEAs and none of the disappointment.
This one really has the feels. Casey is finally living a life where she feels safe and is working on getting through everything that being an Omega in the real world brings to her. Until three Alphas crash into her life and turn everything on it's head. She's a job to them, up until she's not. And the whirlwind that she experiences while learning about herself and her designation is one for the ages.
I did not think I was going to enjoy the Alphas in this book. There were shining points in the beginning and then everyone redeemed themselves in the end. I loved every twist and turn and the growth that Casey had in the end. And these four deserve all the happiness that they wind up getting in the end.
Pack Obsession by Liora Rose is an Omegaverse Romance and part of the Love Knot War series and a definite must read for any omega/alpha fan out there. Set in a world where Omegas are merely a plaything or simple commodity for rich and powerful Alphas of the world with no say, our FMC Casey is essentially running and fighting for her life when she finds herself kidnapped and on track to be delivered to an alpha that claims her as his. However Casey is willing to do anything to remain free and isn’t afraid to bargain for her freedom. Even if it means convincing the three sexy alphas she’s theirs. And let’s just say I’m down for team axel, Nash and Logan! While this is a standalone and can easily be read on its own, it’s still fun to read in order as you do see some of the other characters again.
Casey escapes the burning Nexus bus only to get kidnapped by three hot Alphas. With not only Nexus searching for her but her cruel ex, she figures it might be safer to hide out with these hot strangers. Yet they show her more consideration than any Alpha before, but will her ex find her before she can decide if these three men are what her heart desires?
This is a hot and action-packed Omegaverse reverse harem romance. Casey is wily and clever, and if there was ever an Omega survivor, she's the one. Axel, Nash, and Logan are wonderfully sexy. I especially loved the painting scene. I also loved to hate on the villain. He was so vile. Lots of action and incredibly steamy scenes. A great Omegaverse read.
Overall it’s a good story. I really like how tough Casey is, despite not being physically formidable. I love the men, and it’s neat that they’re pretty much all about her from the beginning, despite the circumstances that brought them together. This is a standalone, part of a series. It ends with a happy for now ending though. Or, a happy for this group—but there’s still much to be done in this world before everyone can be happy. The one issue I had with this one was the way it alternated between two very very different types of scenes in the later chapters. It broke me out of the action the guys were going through—in not the best way. Still a great read and definitely worth your time when you want something a little more dark and angsty to read.
Casey was my favorite type of Omega- fierce! I loved her ferocity and her determination. She wasn't this soft and weak damsel in distress. While she may have the physical disadvantage of being petite, she will fight tooth and nail until she can't. When she meets her men, they immediately see and admire her strength. Logan, Nash and Axel are smitten from the first moment they see her, and despite how they try to fight they never stood a chance. They are the perfect alphas- strong and protective but not smothering. There's a little bit of a slow burn, but I loved the delicious tension that builds and builds until they give in. I can't wait to see what's next in this world.
Pack Obsession is a stand alone contemporary Omegaverse that follows Casey, an Omega. We get a good feel of Casey’s backstory and the grief and trauma she has already been through. Then, she is taken by three Alphas you were hired to kidnap her for another Alpha, but of course it doesn’t end up that way. Nash, Axel and Logan change from her captors to her saviors. The character development in this book is phenomenal and I love how Casey continually tries to prove to others and herself that she can take care of herself.
If you like the “touch her and d!e” trope, then you’ll love how this story turns out! There is a sense of insta-love, which I normally don’t love, but in this story line, it works perfectly. It was a great read that I couldn’t put down!
3.5 stars: This was actually a cozy little story, one that I did not expect. Although there are some rather dark themes here, the plot was focused on the connection that an omega builds with an unexpected pack. The FMC has her own reasons for not trusting alphas apart from her brother, but when she is faced with a choice between the villain she knows and the dangerous gentlemen she encounters, things take an unexpected turn. I did like this story though I felt like she needed more time with each of alphas. Logan, the biggest teddy bear, was just kind of left in the side, so it would have been nice to have that one on one time with each member of her pack. Overall, this was an enjoyable book.
Liora gives us a wonderful standalone book in a shared world. Casey has lived her life with 3 simple rules to stay safe but now she has to decide if it's time to break them. She's been caught by 3 alphas that make her want to belong to them and they give her a choice.. help them with a retrieval or be given to her psychotic ex. To find out what happens on the way to their HEA, dive into this wonderfully written book with complex characters and plot twists that keep you glued to the edge of your seat and turning pages throughout! I loved reading this story and highly recommend the series. Don't miss out on this book!!
Casey's attempt to lay low, hiding from an obsessed Alpha, goes off the rails when the team hired by the Alpha literally crashes into her ride. Luckily for her, these aren't the normal, brainless guns for hire and they quickly realize that they story they were fed when they took the job, didn't add up. The chemistry between Casey, Logan, Axel and Nash is scorching. The relationship between all the MCs is perfect in that they all have issues that need to be addressed and the relationship between them, helps them work through and past them. The creepy, Alpha stalker add just the right amount of action to the mix. I really enjoyed this.
I can’t help but love every omegaverse I can get my hands on. I was especially excited to jump back into this world after reading Danica’s story. This standalone follows Casey and her path to a HEA. Casey proves to be a strong individual who is determined to not let her past get in the way of what she wants out of life. I feel like this book was perfectly paced with just enough darkness, twisty bits, and drama to keep me intrigued. Casey finds herself the perfect, possessive pack who have the ability to both empower and protect her. I’m excited to see what other stories we can get out of this world!
Poor Casey! Trying to live a life that doesn’t keep her locked away in a Nexus facility or at the mercy of a cruel alpha, she finds herself headed to a Nexus facility with her best friends after getting caught on a night out.
When she finds herself in the clutches of three men, appealing yet horrifying, she has to find a way to gain what she’s always wanted.
Continuing the journey through this world as an intrepid group of friends want to live lives that don’t hold them down because of their Omega status, this book gives all the feels. Readers get to watch four “broken” individuals find their way. Get ready for the heart eyes!
This books takes “stalker” to a new level! Julian does not know the meaning of no; he always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Casey.
Casey wants out. And she gets out with three other Omegas only to be found again. By Nexus. (Insert eye roll here) can’t a girl catch a break? Sure! How about a car crash? Yep! That is bound to break something. Enter Logan, Axel and Nash, retrieval specialists. Three delicious Alphas ready to collect and deliver to their client, you guessed it, Julian.
They are all struggling with their own internal battles and have the scars to prove it, just like Casey. They just didn’t know what they didn’t know.
Sweet and spicy with a little bit of darkness thrown in for good measure. Casey is stronger than she realises and finding herself with three alphas who will burn the world down for her, allows her to begin to lower her walls and trust again. Throw in a heat and a psychopathic ex and the guys have their hands full. I really enjoyed this, there was enough history regarding Casey’s treatment by her ex to hit home without going into seriously dark details. The action scenes were really good and the spice between the four of them was off the charts. Great read.
