Chanel Clark has spent most of her adult life in the dark like most humans, unaware of the secret government colony on Earth where humans and aliens co-exist. Couples in the clandestine Earth colony Eden are tasked with fulfilling a marriage contract and having hybrid children as a part of the Sol and Ceti agreement.
Chanel discovers that she has the one thing humans need to become a colony resident, the rare Eve gene. Only women of African descent possess it. The gene allows humans to procreate with the aliens from the system Ceti. Chanel also discovers that she will be paired with a majestic, hard-to-resist winged alien whose eyes change color according to his feelings. Her alien pairing Javi is an ousted emperor from the planet Romata. Javi isn't sure what to do with the delectable Chanel, but he's certain to find out as the colony contends with a lurking danger inside the Eden community. Javi and Chanel think they want to return to the lives they had before they moved into the colony. That is, until they really get to know each other. This novel was also originally published in serialized form on Kindle Vella, but the story has changed substantially since its serial publication.
I’ve read all 3 book Ms associated with the Eve project book series and I have the same reaction/feeling about them. Good plot, well written but they are boring to read. I wasn’t captivated it was more of a I need to finish it bc I started it. They are just ok. I’ve read them wouldn’t read agin don’t even know if I would recommend for someone else. Unless you just love the sci-fi bw with alien thing I would pass
Ehhh this book was okay. This was a little dramatic for me. Your sister pointing a gun at you because you picked up her phone? The characters were cool. I still think the author describes unnecessary things. I was glad the author showed that all is not well in Eden and they have things to work on.
Javi was removed as emperor of his planet and was recruited by Rebekah to participate in Project Eve on Earth. Chanel Clarke, who works as a journalist, is in need of a big story to save her career. Chanel was visited by her sister, Rebekah, and did something unthinkable, resulting in her being pared to an alien. Things are not smooth as aliens are assassinated and Chanel and Javi work together to find out who did it. Despite Javi and Chanel's belief that their destinies lie elsewhere, they discover that their destiny is in each other.
I will continue with this series if more books are released. I'm glad the author released it on Kindle Unlimited.
This installment was better than book 2. There are minor continuity errors (e.g. human characters new to the project inexplicably being able to identify alien species), but overall it was enjoyable. The main characters are interesting and pretty well fleshed out. There are hints (or Easter eggs) of spin-offs, possible upcoming books, but the author should definitely do some outlining before writing or plot details could get convoluted. (I read that these books were developed from a Kindle Vella series and it shows.)
Somethings messing, but I still enjoyed this series
All the couples were couple goals. I so thankful the women were not annoying, by being over the top with independence, or being mean or hurtful for no reason. I love how the women came from different backgrounds and walks of life. I think my fav alien was B he was so insecure, and grouchy, but sweet and loving. He deserved love. Overall im here for the aliens hotties. Side note: the drawings of these women are soo beautiful is hurts.
I really enjoyed Javi and Chanel. Following their love and their story was really entertaining. They were super hot and sexy together which = 🔥. Made me think I need to get me an alien. I like the murderer/assassin. It was very creative zooming in and out.
Great story of Chanel and Javi. I liked that Javi was direct and Chanel was not complicated or hard to get along with. These two characters were a perfect match and made me enjoy reading about them and wanting them to be happy with each other. Great job.
