I’ve had this book for years, and recommend it to anyone looking for a great Italian cookbook. It’s wonderful for all skill levels and is worth finding for the Sicilian Orange Tart alone! Chef Hazan’s straightforward recipes and the suggested menus are fantastic - you can have great, fresh Italian meals in no time at all.

Less comprehensive than his mother’s cookbook, but also a little more accessible to today’s American cook. I appreciate that he recommends substitutions for ingredients not available in the States. Today we enjoyed the Sautéed Carrots with Parmesan.
