About the author

Michael C. Laney

Michael C. Laney is a near lifelong resident of Central Florida, also having lived several years in Northwest Missouri, and he writes stories that are mainly set in both these regions. He currently lives in Davenport, Florida, with his wife, Betsy, his son, Quentin, and their five cats; Callie, Socks, Usagi, Meeko and Buttercup. His oldest son, Alex, attends school out of state.

Michael writes in several genres, mainly horror and erotica, and he often writes stories that most people find hard to categorize. He likes to write stories that are gritty and real, as well as ones that are light and humorous. He also likes to create real and true to life characters who are average and everyday, as opposed to hot and studly action heroes and vampy super-modles.

Michael likes cats, cooking and walks on the beach, and he hates hacks and fair weather friends.

He began seriously writing fiction in 1986, and finally took the plunge into the independent writing scene in 2010.
