This was a weird but funny book. There were parts of the story that felt redundant and in a few places, over explained, but I think that was just part of Tavin's humor. Overall, it was a great just-for-fun read. Recommended for anyone 10 and up.

This is an example of how to use language to be a hilarious idiot... in the right way. Need a good laugh? Here you go.

I finished this one in less than two hours. It's not deep, but neither did it pretend to be. Wholesome... and idiotically hilarious.

Why do I relate way too much to Mary Beth?

Firstlys, I was not expecting moral encouragement and surprisingly accurate retelling of Bible stories from a 1987 Topps baseball card book cover with a burger bedecked lawn mowin’ machine holding a s’more, but here it is. If you want to laugh the skins off your black nanners, you’d better read this thing before the concession stand tries selling something other than hotdogs and snow cones.

As someone who is hillbilly adjacent (not a hillbilly myself, but with pretty deep hillbilly roots), I found this story amusing, and in a way, comforting. It reminded me of the small town my parents grew up in. Also, would love to see how people who aren’t from the country/south make sense of terms like “nanner,” “fire ant,” and “dirt dauber.” 🤣

Weeeeeell, this book was a hoot to read. Got to laugh out loud in a few spots. Tavin is always entertaining on his podcast or on the interwebs. I even saw him once in a live show. Good stories from a good storyteller. Thanks

Though can, the humer wasn't me favourite. My family would cry if I gave it less stars though XD If absulute nonsense, messed up teeth, general caros, and or moozas with bazzokes are your thing, this might be right up your alley! (:

So hilarious and a fun read aloud with the kids. We all love Tavin’s stories about his neighbors and baseball games with Team Burger Shed. *bink bink*

A good laugh

This book was intended to be a quick lighthearted comedic read. It succeeds. I enjoyed Tavin's story telling and humor.
