Marrying my alphahole boss to save his skin? Sure. Why not? It's not like my life is normal anyway.

As the head of a third generation multi-billion-dollar empire, Greyson Hart is infuriatingly demanding, colder than an iceberg, and has the emotional range of a teaspoon. The fact that he looks like a dark-haired Adonis is proof that god has a twisted sense of humor and wants me to be miserable.

I've spent twenty-one months, fifteen days, seven hours, and forty-nine excruciating minutes as the Emerald Bay Titan's personal assistant (but who's counting?). When I finally quit, it feels like I've escaped my own personal hell. Just when I think I'm free, Greyson is accused of embezzlement, and while he might be the last person I want to help, I know he'd never betray his family's empire. So I start searching for answers.

Word to the wise? If you go digging through closets hunting for secrets, you don't get to pick which skeleton falls out. I might not believe the allegations, but the man has more secrets than the Vatican, and I unearth the wrong one.

The only suggestion Greyson has to fix all of this is to get married. As if this charade isn't complicated enough, the possessive edge to his voice when he says 'my wife' turns my mind to putty.

Now it's my heart that's in serious danger.

Will marrying Greyson save their family empire, or will his past destroy us both?

Part 1

4 🌪️💥💘💘🌟s❣️

Since I hadn’t read any previous books by this author, I had a hard time to get familiarised with the heroine’s 11 siblings!!!!! 🤕

Putting this issue aside, the story was amazing!!!
I couldn’t stop reading! 🤩
Alice and Greyson were wonderful characters, with great banter. Moreover, the cast was very intriguing and hopefully their stories will be released in the near future.

The execution and pace of the story were very well designed, the development of their relationship was finely crafted.

There was an interesting mystery within the plot and the steamy scenes were alluring.

Looking forward to the next part!!! 😱

Sydne has done it again! Grey is definitely in the top for the best book boyfriend spot. This book had me hooked from the beginning, the way the FMC and MMC developed throughout the book was beautiful. I loved how action packed this book was as well! It really has something for everyone. 5⭐️

I have loved every book by Sydne that I have ever read so far, but this is my favorite book of hers BY FAR. Greyson and Alice literally had me in a chokehold every single chapter. And I mean every single chapter. Their banter and the way they tease one another, the way they support each other, even when they see the ugliest parts of one another. I just LOVE them.

Read this if you love:
marriage of convenience to her BOSS
he falls first
"good girl"
enemies to lovers
forced proximity
touch her and die vibes

The plot of this story had me zoned in at all times too. I was always making guesses on who was doing or what was going on constantly. I just love how Sydne typically seems to add a little bit of action and mystery to each of her stories. This one was seriously so flawless in my eyes. I already want to read it again. Greyson was just a man with a heart of gold, but just needed the right one to help him show it out loud. LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!!

Okay SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! (BELOW)

LAST WARNING because I am not marking this as a spoiler review hehe

I just have to talk about it and put it out into the universe. The part in the book about them going off the bridge gave me such PTSD flashbacks to the episode of One Tree Hill where Brooke saved Jamie and almost died in response. I was STRESSING that entire scene!! And another thing I wanted to note is that Jax reminded me so much of Dom from The Ravenhood, which made me cry even more because IYKYK. I love his friendship with Alice, and their bear hug at the end seriously had me in tears.

Be still my heart. I didn’t think it was possible to love an MMC more than Jameson Rhodes, but then Greyson Hart slid right in and gave him some competition. This book was SO good! I started last night and could NOT put it down. I feel like this hit so many of my favorite tropes:
- Enemies to Lovers
- Forced proximity
- Fake dating

Gahhhhhh I can not WAIT for the next book!!

ARC Review

I LOVED this book!!! Of all the Rhodes family stories - so far - this one was my absolute favorite!! The true enemies to lovers, I love that the enemies part was built up in the last couple books, so you really get a feel for how long this has been building.
The banter between Alice and Greyson was so good!! I couldn't get enough!

The added suspense and intrigue of Greyson's secret endeavor with Thunderbird, had me on the edge of my seat and in tears at the end!!

I felt ALL the emotions with this book, and loved every second of it!!!

The only negative I will say is that there were occasional time lapses in page breaks, where I had to go back to see if I missed something because it was a little sudden, and there was no heading to explain the time lapse.
It didn't affect the story though.

All in all, I LOVED this book and will definitely be purchasing it!!! Thanks so much Sydnee for the honor of being allowed to read an ARC!!

Finally back with my favorite family, the Rhodes! Is it any question I loved this book? I devour anything Sydne Barnett writes. Greyson Hart and Alice Rhodes are such a spicy and sassy couple that I could absolutely not put this book down, seriously. I had my kindle practically glued to my hand.

This book is fantastic! Forced Proximity, Arranged Marriage, Billionaire Romance, Office Romance.. Just to name a few tropes. We follow the lovely duo I named earlier, Greyson Hart, Emerald Bay Titan and currently Alice's boss for the past two years, that is, until she has finally decided to quit. Alice is our current Rhodes leader and has passionately speaking down about Hartless to her family since she was pulled to work for him. But she's had it, ready to take off on her own she has finally turned in her two weeks and will no longer be the demure doormat he has been used to. There's just a problem, a scandal has broken out and despite how much she Cannot stand Greyson she also doesn't believe that this gorgeous iceberg of a specimen would ever embezzle from his company. Secrets are uncovered, lives are on the line and hearts lie in the balance. Helping Greyson will either be the biggest mistake of her life, or bring her her greatest love.

Ahhhh the emotional turmoil I was put through in this book. Word to the wise is to definitely check the trigger warnings because this book is NOT light. We dive into some pretty heavy topics and I was very close to rioting over poor animals getting hurt. Once again, Sydne has created absolutely complex level characters that feel so incredibly real. They are layered, they have pasts and their presence just leaps off the page. The 'who done it' aspect had me guessing the entire book, and while I had my suspicions Sydne definitely knew how to make you question if you were right to be suspicious. I know this is a spinoff series for the Rhodes, but it was so fun to get to see past characters come up and be apart of the story, even briefly. I also CANNOT wait to see the next story unfold because I was chomping at the bits the entire time a second love story was silently being hinted at in the background.

Sydne, once again you have me in a chokehold with another book and already desperately begging for the next one! Thank you so much for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I will be anxiously waiting for the next announcement to leap on in hopes of being approved again.

I feel like with each new Sydne Barnett book I claim it is my new favorite, but this one really has so far been my new favorite!! Although, I fully expect the second installment to take that place once it comes out as well as I CANNOT WAIT for Leighton and Ollie’s book! I have been really excited for all of the newest releases, but I absolutely love tropes and narratives like what are going to be found in Leigh and Ollie’s.

At times this book gave H.D. Carlton vibes without the dark romance aspect of the book, specifically as both relate to trafficking, but this was executed so well that it did not feel like I was reading H.D. Carlton and was not turned off by the similar plot lines. It was a similar book without being the same book and I really appreciated that. This was like reading H.D. Carlton but with more storyline and plot and more romance.

I loved all of the foreshadowing moments that led to the big reveal and fast-paced ending. Some of the ending I called, such as Royce being a bad guy and the mole in the “friend” group, but despite all of the references to it, and all of Grey’s building Alice up to be able to handle it, I did not imagine the car crash and did not see that coming, but loved all of the after-the-fact signs and details that pointed to that happening that occurred throughout the book, such as the freezing shower scene and the car window breaking keys.

A few times I thought I was personally going to have to square up with Sydne, such as regarding Chip and Cap, but thankfully all turned out well!

Another fantastic novel by a great author in which I am extremely thankful to have been given an advanced reader’s copy to read!

✨Salvaged Hearts by Sydne Barnett✨
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

“There wasn’t enough time to contemplate what changed or when- maybe it was the way he defended me and took care of me, or perhaps this was all a long time coming; I just knew I wanted this man on his knees for me.”

This story follows personal assistant/PR God Alice Rhodes and her boss/CEO/retired Navy Seal Greyson Hart. You get to watch Alice’s life get turned upside down, all to protect her egotistical boss from entities that are larger than it may seem. Don’t forget that are always two sides to a story and you never truly know where the other’s priorities may lie.

🛟Grab your yellow life vests- spoilers ahead!🛟

Having read the Nomadic Rhodes series, I knew going into this that I was going to LOVE Captain Hartless… I mean Suit Daddy… I mean Grey. The way Alice would tear this man down in their family chats always KILLED me. Watching it happen in ‘real time’ was everything I wanted and more.

The spice?! THE SPICE?! Whew, I was sweating the whole time. 😮‍💨🥵 This was such a faster pace story than Nomadic Rhodes and genuinely appreciated. Their personalities alone demand for it to be a quicker/stronger connection than someone like Elora so I loved the pacing. I was laughing so hard at times that I was in tears, and then crying at times out of panic and fear. My heart was being pulled every which way and I loved every moment of it.

Oh- and Mattie?! New favorite side character. I need so much more of her (looking at you Leighton and Ollie 👀)

I love marriage of convenience. I do not care what kind of crazy reason they use to justify it. Scandal threatening to ruin you and the only story interesting enough to bury it is if you marry your assistant? Sure, sign me up.

This book is first in its series, but fourth in the very large Rhodes family saga. You don't have to have read any of the other books about this family, but if you want more of their crazy large family shenanigans you can read the Nomadic Rhodes series as well.

Salvaged Hearts is a much different vibe than the Nomadic Rhodes, but at the root of it, it still has Sydne's humor, which is my favorite thing about her books. I laughed out loud throughout this entire book.

Alice is an absolutely hysterical character. She is so sarcastic and such a great balance to the ever stoic Greyson Hart. And Greyson... he is a man obsessed and I am here 👏 for 👏 it.👏 I thought the development of their relationship was paced really well and I always rooting for them the entire time. Oh, and the spice is an excellent time. 😏

I LOVED Grey's brother Ollie and his kids and their relationship with Alice's sister Leighton, so if they don't get a book I might cry. But either way I'm absolutely coming back for more of the Rhodes because I love the whole Fam Damily.

Witty, steamy, twisty ! Sydne outdid herself with that one again.

Grey absolutely falls into the « he fell first AND harder » category, add to this the fact that he’s a gorgeous billionaire who only smiles for his 10-year old niece ? Yeah, hearts be melting around here. And did I mention he’s bossy and not just in the office ? Panties be dropping real fast too.

Alice gets to have a beast on all fours panting just for her! Oh and there’s a dog too 😜

I enjoyed the Nomadic Rhodes series and was thrilled that this new series is about more of the Rhodes siblings! Loved the characters, their relationships, and their banter. Greyson and Alice are wonderful separately and so good together. Going right into the next book of the series, can’t wait!!

This book went from sweet ‘n’ spicy, oh, dear Jesus Joseph and Mary, let me fan myself off from all the pent-up lusty-ness to holy hell in a hoarders handbag, bonkers bananas pants! Was that a ride? Because THIS book was a ride, let me tell you. This book and I started as casual acquaintances popping bonbons poolside. I wasn’t here for anything serious, just a good time. And WHAM! Suddenly, I’m up at 2 am, rocking back and forth in bed, my entire body seized in a Charley Horse of anxiety, while my hubby anxiously asks if I’m alright. I AM NOT ALRIGHT. And what’s a bonbon anyway?

Good lord. Let me just take a moment to collect myself. I need to stop writing reviews in the heat of post-book emotion. The best way I can describe this book is if The Proposal got put on steroids with the same amount of shenanigans but add some high stakes espionage-type shit and more sex. 11/10 would recommend.

On an adventure scale, this garners a whopping one foot. And before you riot and threaten my unborn child with a deformed nose or warts, let me explain. First of all, I can barely even keep birthday secrets, let alone keep my lips sealed about a fake marriage. The amount of anxiety and, consequently, the perspiration that follows from lying to my family would drown me on dry land. The entire charade would implode within seconds. Second, their family group chat, which I adore on-page, would be the ban of my existence. I can barely keep up with my actual family chat, and there’s only 6 of us! But, most importantly, the amount of fake “candid” photo shoots has my skin crawling and my heart shriveling. I will take near-death experiences over the inane amount of photo-ops Grey and Alice participate in. I will give Salvaged Hearts 1 foot for the mind-numbing ecstasy-level spicy good times in the bedroom. I’ll take that. I don’t want the full-tasting menu, just the a la carte option and I’ll take the sexy good times, and that’s it. Please and thank you.

Grey is so my favorite color!

Greyson is introduced to the reader as the stereotypical alphahole boss without a heart. This is the guy you love to hate. He is rude, demanding, and has zero sense of boundaries.

Alessandra Rhodes has bent over backwards for over 2 years trying her damndest to please the man who is clearly impossible to please. So she finally has HAD IT and gives him her notice. He can find someone else to make his coffee - and save his ass.

And that is the catalyst for this story to take off in the best way! This book brings in action, romance, tension, enemies to lovers, family, intrigue, mystery, high stakes, and more. I am seriously convinced this author is my spirit author!!!

Greyson goes from jackhole to hero. We get to see how easy it is to miss the truth of who another person is throughout this story. Grey may be a billionaire - but he’s a billionaire who is dedicated to protecting the innocent. He is just a little gunshy to open his heart - but when he does, look out! Greyson out batmans batman. And he out shades the 50 shades of grey….

Alice (Alessandra) Rhodes comes to the realization that trying to be a people pleaser and be inauthentically meek and mild does her no favors. She finds her voice just in time and leans on her resilience after agreeing to marry her boss out of practicality. It may be a marriage for a PR stunt - Alice wasn’t ready to be in such close proximity to the man who has driven her crazy in every way for 2 years. When they finally get on the same page, the two of them and their dedicated families move mountains.

This book is the whole package. Fast, fun, action packed, romantic, spicy, and satisfying in the best way. And if you’ve not read the other Rhodes books, do yourself a favor and get them now!

Sydne Barnett has captured my readership loyalty completely with this one.

Salvaged Hearts by Sydne Barnett is the first book of The Hearts of Emerald Bay series. This is an intense enemies to lovers romance, that brings together a billionaire boss and the feisty but efficient employee that is about to save his skin.

This book is directly connected to Barnett's series, the Nomadic Rhodes, a massive family that originates from Mistyvale, Alaska. I've not read any of those books, but was quite easily able to wrap my head around the family members mentioned. I will also say that I am now interested to find out more about the chaotic-good that is the Rhodes family.

Alessandra Rhodes, aka Alice, moved to Emerald Bay in California for work. She has some family close by, although she does miss the rest of the clan back home in Alaska. However, Alice has taken a massive step is quitting her job. Her billionaire boss is the very definition of an alpha-hole, although she has no clue why Greyson Hart dislikes her so much.

Greyson's world starts to crumble when Alice quits. She doesn't realise that his dislike for her is part of the armour that he has built around himself. Greyson is a shark at work, there's a reason why he is good at what he does, she was also previously in the military. He's all about danger. Embezzling from his own company. And funny enough, the one person who believes him and wants to help (even to the detriment of her own safety), is Alice Rhodes.

An enemies to lover, fake marriage type of romance. This was a lot of fun, although this book does feel dark (or rather, simply isn't light hearted). I really enjoyed the wild ride, the passion and the chemistry between Greyson and Alice.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Oh the drama, the suspense, the chaos! Per usually Sydne Barnett has sucked me in and left me unable to put it down. Her couples are so perfectly crafted for one another and this couple is no exception. The banter has me giddy AF 😆

I’ve said this in a lot of my reviews lately but I truly appreciate a good chapter title and the ones in this book are not only clever but funny, too.

One thing I do struggle with is the sentence structure. Sometimes they lack flow and are hard for me to follow, this could easily be an ADHD “me thing,” but I think it’s valid to mention.

Oh my gosh, this story has giggling like a little school girl the more it unfolds. It’s also taken me on quite the emotional rollercoaster of all the feelings! The tension around the unknown has got me all worked up. Bouncy legs, nail biting, breath holding. I’ve officially abandoned all adult responsibilities for this book. 😆

Oh no! There’s too much story left, the anxiety has me in a chokehold! &&&& I’m bawling my eyes out!

WOW! I love all the Rhodes siblings stories, but this one is by far my favorite! It had everything from the spice and the romance to the suspense and a captivating plot. I genuinely love how the author spun this story. My mind was reeling the entire time trying to figure out who was behind everything, I felt the author did a great job at keeping the reader on their toes.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a healthy heap of suspense with their romance. & it’s an absolute must, if you’ve read the Nomadic Rhodes series. (I definitely would read that series before this book to avoid any spoilers!)

Thank you, Sydne Barnett, for the complimentary e-copy. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Hoo boy, where do I start? I have read Sydne's Rhodes series and fell in love with the chaos of the large family, enter the Hart brothers into the chat and commence all of the feels.

Greyson Hart is a ruthless, ex-navy seal with a beast like demeanor. All business and heartless. So, they say, but when it comes to his niece and nephew, he would do everything in his power to protect them along with his brother. Greyson is such a complex character that you have to peel back the layers to find his heart of gold.

Alessandra Rhodes, a fierce intelligent woman, has had enough of his lack of appreciation for her hard work. After two years of dealing with her nightmare of a boss gives her two weeks' notice when all chaos breaks out.

A scandal threatens the Hart legacy and despite Alice's decision to leave, decides to help him as her final good deed. Greyson has a plan to change the narrative of the scandal and all he has to do is convince Alessandra to become his wife. (commence the swooning)

This book has everything, enemies to allies to more, marriage of convenience, banter, family, forced proximity, fake dating, dark theme, action, adventure and puppies! A great emotional book that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

I absolutely loved this book! I can't wait for the next adventure! Thank you, Sydne, for the privilege of reading your story!

4.5 stars for Grey and his Belle

The Rhodes family is back and better than ever! Sydne Barnett hit it out of the park with Salvaged Hearts, the first book in the Hearts of Emerald Bay series. I felt like I was reading a romantic, action packed, suspense movie. The plot was so engaging, and captivating I could not put this book down.
I was very excited to get into Alice and Grey's story especially from the hints dropped in the previous books and omg it was a wild ride. I loved the push and pull between these two, the witty banter, their undeniable chemistry. Together they were a force to be reckoned with, to great minds and fierce personalities.
I loved Alice, Sydne Barnett always writes strong FMC and Alice was definitely smart, brave, and independent.
Although Greyson started off as a seemingly unfeeling robot, he was so much more. He was kind, thoughtful, and giving. I adored his love for his family and how he was secretly attracted to Alice and believed in her abilities. Grey stole my heart with how much care and love he had for Alice. Throughout the book he was definitely swoony.
As usual, I enjoyed the Rhodes family and their interactions which was hilarious. I can't get enough of them.
This book was a fantastic start to this new series and can't wait for what's next.

Alessandra despises her soon-to-be-ex boss Greyson Hart. Or does she? When her resignation plans are thwarted by a smear campaign that could bring down his company, she is thrust into his world in a way she could never have anticipated. From this new perspective, she realizes there is a lot more to Greyson than meets the eye. And she just might not hate him after all...

Greyson may seem cold and calculated, but the truth is that he burns a little hotter for his assistant than he should - and the only way to stay professional is to keep her hating him. The last thing he wants is to bring her into his world full of secret dangers.

When Alessandra does her job a little TOO well, and stumbles upon part of Greyson's secret life, marriage is the only solution he can think of to keep her safe. But will having her close put his heart in peril? And will either of them survive the forces determined to keep them apart forever?

So much snark, so much banter. You know what they say about love and hate...such a fine line, and Alessandra and Greyson are about to cross it in the hottest, sexiest way.

I absolutely loved this book! Sydne Barnett has become an auto buy author for me! This one is top tier, one of my favorites of the year. I laughed out loud at the banter and one liners through this book. The text threads had me giggling as well! Alice and Grey’s story was tense, beautiful and HOT 🌶️🌶️🌶️! That man and his words… phew! Alice is such a strong FMC you just love her and root for her. Greyson… he is in a league of his own. He falls first and touch her and die vibes coming in HOT! The siblings, the side characters- all of them just make you smile. I hope we get to see all their HEA’s. I love the cameos of the characters we loved from the other books as well. Just makes you feel part of the Rhodes world!

The heart rate was spiking, and as it turns out, if handy, I stress drink! I filled my 40 oz cup with water and practically chugged it during those tense scenes!

Now that's not to say this book was adrenaline rush after adrenaline rush. There were some absolutely adorable scenes, sweet scenes, and those 🌶🌶 scenes were definitely 🔥🔥 !!

I loved the nicknames Alice and Greyson gave each other, how in sync and connected they were departed fighting the attraction. After all, HR would have a field day 😉

When I found out this book was going to be about Alessandra "Alice" Rhodes and her Hartless boss, Greyson Hart, I was ecstatic! I freaking love the Rhodes siblings, want to be adopted by them, and share in all the chaos that is such a huge family.

I have a feeling I know who the next pair will be, and I hope I'm eight because they're adorable . Also, ✨️ spoilers ✨️so preorder now and read this action-packed story on 18 September!

That all being said, there are some darker themes in this one, so check warnings and take care of yourself first and foremost! 🥰

Alessandra (Alice) Rhodes comes from a big family and she is over dealing with her rude boss. When Alice tries to put in her 2 weeks, the “hartless” billionaire CEO, Greyson Hart is not buying it. When allegations start to arise of Greyson, he proposing the idea of him and Alice getting married to try to cover the headlines. I was sucked in so fast! It’s definitely one of my ‘don’t start reading on a lunch break or I won’t be clocking back in’ books.

The push and pull of their preexisting and tense relationship was complete catnip. And neither was just going to roll over. Gotta love a smart, sexy, stubborn character meeting their match.

But it was also its own unique story. There were turns that surprised me. And many cliche potholes that never showed up. The plot and the relationship enriched each other. Their love felt natural and real. The characters were whole, 3-diminutional people.

And not going to lie, I love when there are lots of siblings/big family (probably because I also come from a big family). The relationships between the members of the family create fuller people in this book. And no one can understand like a sibling can, even when you rather not. Alice and Greyson could tell you all about the meddlesome friends and family who were there to listen, poke, push, lecture, and protect when it mattered the most.

ARC REVIEW!

The more time we spend with the Rhodes family, the more it’s like we’re becoming a member of their family. And I’m so here for it, I love this family and how much they stand up for their own. This book had me feeling all the feels and even had my heart in my throat at one point! Greyson was a dream of a man once he let his icy exterior melt a little and really opened up to Alice. And don’t get me started on how much of an absolute genius Alice is! She gets to the bottom of things and gets stuff done, out of spite a lot of the time or just to prove Grey’s uncle wrong and eat his words mostly but she’s a damn hurricane and I love her. Grey and Alice are a beautiful couple and worked really well together. He never intended to be so protective over her but she became the gravity to his world. (Also we learned when Noel and Jameson are getting married and their wedding date happens to also be my birthday. 🤗🤩)

Thank you Sydne for the arc! I loved them and I love you ❤️😁

Wow, just WOW! When I think Sydne can’t write a book to top the last one and an FMC and MMC I’ll like more than the ones before, she goes and write Salvaged Hearts with Greyson Hart and Alice Rhodes.

When quitting your job and your terribly robotic and awful boss turns into a marriage and more. 5 stars isn’t enough, I loved everything about this book. I laughed, I cried, had to fan myself over Greyson Harts dirty mouth, and I was on the edge of my freaking seat. That last 25% was a wild wild ride. This definitely gave me Beauty and the Beast billionaire boss vibes and I loved it. All the little hints back to one of my favorite stories.

I cannot wait for more in this series. This can be read on its own but I suggest also reading Sydne’s Nomadic Rhodes series, it will help you get to know the whole Rhodes family. Go read it now!!!

Having read the first 3 books in the Nomadic Rhodes series, this one was a “must read” for me. Sydne Barnett writes the best male main characters!

This one was a fun twist. Normally the storylines involve the girl needing to be saved/helped, but this one had the guy in a bind and needing the girl to step up and help him. It was so sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

There was definitely some spice after some slow-burn build up, but it wasn’t raunchy or distasteful. It’s not the main focus of the book, either. You can easily skip over those parts and still understand the story if you don’t enjoy/want to read the spicy scenes. The story is definitely worth reading!!

I was curious to see what kind of man Greyson turned out to be for Alice because he is a major jerk in the beginning, but he is a total sweetheart. I think this pair goes well together.

✨ARC Review✨

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
🌶🌶🌶 (3/5)

Loved this story! I have loved the Rhodes family from the very beginning when we were introduced to their nomadic clan back in South of the Skyway. This book takes us to Emerald Bay, California where we get to focus on Alice and the situation she finds herself in with her boss, Greyson Hart (aka Hartless). They may appear to be all business on the outside, but when a PR nightmare forces them to fake a marriage, their relationship is taken to a whole different level neither one was prepared for.

The plot was so good and had me holding my breath with my eyes flying across the pages! I loved the enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity in this story that brought out the best banter and steamy moments. I have loved every MMC Sydne has written, and Greyson Hart is no exception! Add him to your book boyfriend list, ASAP!

Sydney Barnett is a new author to me and this book did not disappoint! Every page kept my attention and I had a hard time putting this book down. (Who needs sleep! lol)

I loved how Alice and Grey were in the office in the beginning and how when she had no more F’s to give, she didn’t hold back and gave it to him. My heart was soaring every time the two of them protected each other. There was plenty of "my wife" and several "my husband" moments, I think I swooned the whole book! My favourite few sentences in the book said: “You found me as a broken man and salvaged the heart few people knew I still had beating. The greatest honor would be watching the love of my life mother my children.”

This is an awesome book and I’ll definitely be exploring their other books. Check it out, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Sydne, Sydne, Sydne. I can’t decide which man from your books I want to claim! Every new book I say “never mind. This one’s mine” 🤣. Seriously y’all, she knows how to write men the way we like ‘em.

Salvaged Hearts follows Alice Rhodes. Now, we already love the Rhodes family over here, but ohhhhh was the banter between Alice and Grey 👌🏼.

Tropes that will make you love this book:
* Fake Marriage/Marriage of convenience
* Enemies to lovers
* Forced proximity
* He falls first
* Boss/Employee
* Ex-Military

You seriously cannot go wrong with any one of Sydne’s books! You will fall in love with each character, you will feel tons of emotions, and you will be (impatiently) waiting for the next book.

Salvaged Hearts is a steamy, enemies-to-lovers, forced-proximity, he falls first, fake marriage, office romance. Greyson is a hunky, ex-military man turned billionaire. Alice Rhodes has worked for him for 2 years and is done... until he propositions her for help. This book had it all, love, steam, drama, mystery, and humor. OMG, the snark and flirty banter was hysterical, and the chemistry was pure fire 🔥. I fell in love with Greyson and how hard he fell for her as well as what a teddy bear he was for his nieces. This was my first book by this author but not the last. It read fast even though it was a bit on the longer side for me, and while super steamy, it had a lot of heavy topics. I loved it!!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
