When their car breaks down in the small religious town of Ricefield, Constantine gets mistaken for a man of faith. If they want a mechanic to work on the vehicle, he has to step in to replace their last minister who’s fallen ill. Can the trio handle going back to church, or will they end up corrupting more than just themselves?
*This is a one-shot novella that does NOT need to be read to enjoy the other Final Girls books* Its purely for the love of spice and not to be taken that seriously.
Growing up with a teenage mom who insisted she be raised knowing all about 80’s and 90’s pop culture, Chicana author, Tylor Paige, should have known she’d inevitably write books inspired by that. The fun (rockstars), the hot (Goblin Kings), and the scary (Slashers).
When she’s not writing about girls railing the villains, she enjoys watching horror films, sewing, comic books, and spending time with her writer tribe, Michigan Romance Writers. At the time of this update Tylor has now written and published Ten full length novels, and is currently pursuing a career in horror romance, where, honestly, she should have been in the first place.
Rule 9"Don't Trust A Man of Faith Who Wants To Get Kids Alone."
Who would have thought that I'd receive unexpected religious trauma healing through a fictional character whose been known to rock a Ghostface mask while chasing down his final girl?! Certainly not me.
Reading 'Thots and Prayers' had me feeling like I was taking a road trip right alongside Constantine, Kansas and Eisley with loads of gas station snacks and nothing but time to kill (which is great for making a quick detour for confessional...*wink wink*). I was all giggles and finger-snaps throughout!! Loved the 'we will not conform' vibes and all of the nods to characters from other Final Girl books. The only thing I was missing was more gore and horror but even without this was such a great read!!
I am now officially requesting more novellas staring all of our favorite final girls!
Naturally Ty has done it AGAIN. This book was fast paced, diabolical, moderately spicy. I could not peel my eyes from it. Constantine and Kansas will forever hold a special little place in my heart. I definitely had several moments where I was so worried that we were going to see an awakening of a new Sinister Minister but that goodness we didn’t… at least for now I hope. 🤣
Constantine really had me here ready to put my hands on him lol This novella was great with amazing characters from slash or pass Tylor books are a must read.
This continues to follow our favorite trio from the Slash of Pass novel, after they hit the open road.
I'm so happy to have read more about these 3. I love them so much together and all the trouble they get into. The relationship and these 3 are so different and I enjoy them. They fit perfectly together. This was a fun quick read and very hot! I LOVED it! The setting of this town was creepy and made me think of a town straight out of a Stephen King movie. The author did an awesome job at balancing everything in the book. Just the right amount of spice and just the right amount of creepiness.
Quick and spicy novella but what else should we expect from our favorite throuple 😂 this definitely dove into the religious cult convos and gosh was Constantine a mad man for his actions. I seriously thought we were going to lose at least one of them to power but the ending definitely was perfect!
This was pure unhinged, chaotic, spicy, whorror perfection. I loved revisiting these characters and going on a new mini adventure. Seeing how they navigate their now immortal existence and watching them all work through previous religious trauma when they’re thrust back into a church with Constantine the priest was everything I never knew I needed. Not quite as gory as the previous installment but just as slasher, just as spice-filled, and I devoured this in one straight sitting. I adore the Final Girls series and cannot ever get enough of Tylor Paige’s writing. I’m holding out hope that we will get more novellas in the future to revisit some of our other favorites, but in the meantime, I’m anxiously counting down the days until the Final Ghouls make their debut.
i don't know why i decided to read this when i famously hated slash or pass lmao, but like, i saw there was a novella and i was like maybe it got better! like maybe now that they are together, and we're done with the story, they will annoy me less. and i was wondering if we would get more constantine and kansas action since at the very end of the book, it seemed like maybe that's where they were going. but i think i need to give up on that. even though there is an MM romance tag on it, i would hardly call it that. it's very confused. like, yes, constantine seems to think of them as a throuple, and of being in a relationship with kansas, and there was the flirty moment where he was trying to have sex with kansas before he pushed him off the bed, but like, they don't think of each other as romantically involved the same way they do with eisley. which again, like it's fine if it's a v-type situation where they are just friends, but the fact is they blur that line without ever crossing it and it's just frustrating. like either fuck and be in love, or just be friends, don't play with me. and obviously i'm talking about fictional characters, not in real life, in real life, all is welcome, im talking in this fictional story, stop playing with me and let them be equally as involved as with eisley. that was literally the main thing that annoyed me because like the rest of the story is not as aggravating as the first book, it was more tolerable. i mean serves me right, i don't know why i thought i would like it more if i didn't like the books. i guess i had too much hope.

The interconnection in this with Ty's other books was the best! I love those kinds of Easter eggs where you see something from a different book by the same author. Be it a name or location, I just love it! I enjoyed seeing my favorite immortal trio up to no good again! The poor small religious town of Ricefield won't ever be the same. With trigger warnings that include crucifixion, making fun of religion, and knife play this spicy novella isn't for the faint of heart, but you know I fucking LOVED it all. The confession booth scene will exist in the back of my mind forever.
"I'm talking about corruption. I want to make this town squirm, scream, and cry out in fear of what might just turn them on and give them nightmares simultaneously. I want them to regret ever asking me to be their fucking savior."
I love Tylor Paige. I think this book reflected not only Tylor's attitude, but also sense of humor. (Which is outstanding)
Thots and Prayers gives us more time with Constantine, Kansas, and Eisley after the events in Slash or Pass.
They end up breaking down in a little one horse town and while they wait on car repairs, why not stir up a little trouble? Whe Constantine is mistaken for a man of the cloth, Kansas and Eisley realize that sometimes you just need to have a little faith.
If you've read the other Final Girls books, there's a few fun things you'll pick up on too.
I definitely recommend reading Slash or Pass first, as it fills you in on who these characters are and their backstory.
Bee: Did I miss this trio? Holy yes I did. I forgot how much I love Eisley, Kansas, and Constantine. With knowing the backstory of these three this novella, this felt like a full length story and I couldn’t get enough. I loved the play on the occult vibes, the taboo aspect playing with the church. It just all added so much to these already wonderful characters. Nik: I loved getting to see what Constantine, Eisley and Kansas were up to right after Slash or Pass. the pacing was great, it never felt rushed or like a filler story. Ty proves once again that she is the master of balancing horror and 🌶️. Honestly this small religious town is the scariest setting ever. This was so well done and I loved it!
Rule 11... have to say this was my favorite rule 😜 But... now I am wanting more!!! Maybe this novella is an insight to the Final Girls finally getting to meet!! Who knows!! I know I just LOVE the characters in this novella and cannot wait to read more about them. I did enjoy how religion was portrayed with this group again... with a hint of Cult activity and small town views of outsiders. Way to go Ty... I am hooked!! This Whorror baby can't wait for the next book!! 🔪🖤
Ty gives us a peak as to what Constantine *cough* Priest, Kansas and Esiley have been up to since Slay Less. Mildly concerned that "Priest" makes us all question if he is going to follow in his father footsteps while corrupting the congregation. I'm left with questions about this town because now that they have been givin a taste, what will happen? There's a specific set of characters that intrigued me and with the way Ty ropes the series together while still being stand alones I'd be lying if I didn't say I hope we revisit Ricefield.
There's just something exciting about doing things we know are frowned upon.. like intimate acts of lewdry in the church. This novella got me giggling a bunch of times. I didn't do my research and ended up reading this before the first book and I'm currently on my way to read SLASH OR PASS. I would recommend this for my book club, hehe. (Please note that the individuals in my book club are as crazy and lewd as me. If you have friends who only read contemporary romance with no dark themes in sight, don't recommend this.)
I love that we got more of Eisley, Constantine and Kansas. This was a fast paced smutty novella which made me want more and more from these three.
Somehow, I found this novella more taboo than I did the book. It was not as spicy but let me tell you, it doesn’t disappoint on the 🌶️ levels.
Constantine knows how to take immoral to a whole new level which you can’t drag your eyes from.
Unhinged perfection at its best. If you read Slash or Pass, you should read Thots and Prayers. It gives you closure and leaves you wanting so much more.
I've basically done a speed run of the books in this series and each one keeps me hooked and thirsty for more! This spicy little novella was a perfect addition to the fold, given this series is mostly stand-alones I was SO happy to see the original 3 back and see what kinky immortal chaos they got up to. Short but sweet, another deliciously dirty whorror story from queen Tylor.
Oh my my my... Kansas, Constantine, and Eisley have a special place in my heart. I absolutely loved them in Slash or Pass and this short adventure was everything and more!
Fast paced and fun this story hits all the feels and the spice. The town of Ricefield never even knew what hit em. Tylor has a way with words that pulls you in and keeps you wanting more!! I'm hoping we'll see these three again soon!
TYLOR! I absolutely love this novella?!? Constantine, Eisley, and Kansas have been my favorite characters throughout the entire Final Girls series so far! This short spicy novella was absolutely perfect for these characters. I was thoroughly entertained with the plot and just love seeing those three characters interact with one another! I also love the Knife, Comment, Share references! I can’t wait for the next book!
One of my favorite books is Slash or Pass so when I found out that we would get to see Eisley, Kansas, and Constantine again I was immediately hyped. This book immediately made me feel like I was back in their story and I loved it. This book was a quick wild ride and such a thrill with some spice added in. I will always love these characters even if they’re out of their minds sometimes. If you’ve read Slash or Pass, definitely check out this novella.
Fun nonsense to help pack my reading goal!!! I loved the insanity and allllll the pop culture references. Clearly there is a lot of backstory I'm missing since this is a spin off of another book, but it was stand alone enough that I was easily able to follow what was going on. I think the only thing I would have asked for more of would be context on how exactly and in what way they're immortal, but I'm sure that would be explained if I had read the original book LOL
Not only was it steamy and nice seeing my favorite characters back but it was also funny I laughed so hard with the whole pretending to be a priest thing! I said it before and I’ll say it again Tylor is an amazing author and there hasn’t been a book by her I haven’t loved! Absolutely a recommendation!
I would advice to read Slash Or Pass first since this happens after it! 🖤
Tropes 🩸Stuck In Religiouse Town 🩸Mistaken For Priest 🩸Pain Play 🩸Religious Trauma
I'd love to read another adventure from Einsley, Constantine, and Kansas. As always, the 3 way point of view was awesome. Besides the main characters secret, I could see this actually happening in some backwards small town. Remember, treat others how you wish to be treated!
This was a wickedly good Slash Or Pass novella that I didn’t know I needed! This triad is intense and I wouldn’t want it any other way! Tylor has once again shocked me with another storyline that is unique and authentic! This one will have you on the edge of your seat… while clutching your invisible pearls… and or rosary.
I thought I was a Tylor Paige fan before, and now I'm pretty sure I'm obsessed. This clapback has to be my favorite of all time. This was short, funny, and smutty. I devoured this quick read in 1 sitting, and now I'm even more excited for the next Final Girls book. This was perfection, and I'm so glad Tylor wrote it.
This book contains themes not suitable for all readers.
writing a novella called Thots and Prayers as a direct response to people saying dark romance readers need prayers is genuinely the funniest thing Ty could do.
Anyway, I missed these crazy bitches. I finished Slay Less and went immediately into this one and imagine my absolute bamboozlement when I heard Constantine call himself Preist Duvall. Goodbye.
I really loved this read! I was beginning to worry about Constantine for a second there becoming like his Father. But in the end all was saved!!! I loved Kansas he was so relaxed and just went with whatever plans Constantine made! 😂 This read is very fast paced. Very well written and loved the spice and plot. I can’t wait to read more of Tylor Paige’s books!
I loved being able to read more of Eisley, Constantine, and Kansas! This is exactly the ending I needed and they deserved. Super short, sweet, and as always, super spicy. Not wanting to spoil anything, but the Mass scene🥵 Tylor had me picking my jaw up off the floor. Like she always does with her spice. This was amazing, amazing, amazing!
It is a fun and steamy novella that really drives the point home about sin, judgment, and those thoughts and prayers.
Once again, we connect with Constantine, Kansas, and Eisley, whose car breaks, and they are forced to wait for the repairs in a small repressed town controlled by fear of sin. As these three tend to do mayhem ensues in the most provocative and sinful way!
If you have read and loved Slash or Pass this is a fun novella for the Slash or Pass Trio! They break down in a small down who thinks Constantine is a priest and he starts having mass’ at the local church but in all honestly he is just giving them an excuse to sin and picks fun at them! I loved this novella so much!!!
