Ready for a wild adventure? “Parl: Of Magic, Monsters, and Mystictheia” by Robert Caldwell is a must-read! Picture this: a world where magic meets industry, and a terrifying ancient evil is back to cause chaos. Our last hope? The last of the legendary Binders, a hero with some serious battle scars and a lot of courage.

It's a thrilling mix of action, mentoring, and epic magical battles that keep you hooked from page one. Robert’s world-building is next-level, making Parl feel like a place you’d want to visit (minus the monsters, of course).

Characters in this book are top-notch. The Binder and the new heroes are so well-developed, you’ll feel like you’re part of their squad. Their journeys are packed with personal growth, making the story super relatable and engaging.

Great epic fantasy

This is a fantasy in true classic style.
Starting and ending with a storyteller scribe imparting the secret histories of the world of Parl. Ps epic ending.
There is (like in most great fantasies) a host of characters that have their individual stories slowly merge together. They are a very memorable bunch and I can't wait to read more about them. We have a female elf thief, a wizard dwarf, a massive bounty hunter, a young healer, a wannabe hero, and a young female mage in training - all form a group on a quest to save Parl from evil.
There are lots of tense moments and epic battle scenes resulting in rapid page turning.
A true fantasy fan's treasure, Parl is one new t to miss.
With the plethora of unique and likeable cast, we get an age-old story (good v evil) delivered in a new and exciting way.
Roll on book 2!

This was a pretty good fantasy story. There's some telling like Dune and Ender's Game, which is an older writing style but the author does show. This is one of my favorite lines, "The train beside him heaved, belching out thick plumes of white steam and dark smoke, the metallic heartbeat of its engine resonating like a symphony heralding the march of progress." I was able to visualize the characters and world. If you like fantasy, give this adventure a chance.
