Vi's friend Yara has been part of a group of women that have a very interesting concept of group activities...and she's not talking about trust falls or awkward icebreaker questions. Yara has regailed Vi with stories, in explicit detail, of the intense, unbridled passion that she shares with these women every few months, but Vi has always been shy to ask if there's a free slot available on the roster.Following another dating disaster, and feeling fed up, Vi finally asks her best friend for an invite to the next session, taking place at a sumptuous mansion owned by two of the group members. When Yara agrees to bring Vi along, Vi has no idea of what the weekend holds for her. Senses-bending pleasure, a hint or two of pain, and a whole new world of experiences await Vi when she enters THE MANSIONThis book features plenty of warm, loving sapphic kindness and care contrasted with equally intense and passionate experiences. Some scenes feature intense BDSM, but with full enthusiastic consent from all parties as well as kind, loving cooldowns.Make no mistake, this book is centered almost entirely around women giving and receiving pleasure, but with some quiet, sweet moments and a cast of interesting and body-diverse characters.

This is my first book by this author, and I will definitely be reading more of their work in the future. The book contains some very steamy scenes, which are quite arousing. It also has a sweet side to it. Quick note, enthusiastic consent is super sexy and this book is full of it!
This book has a rapid pace with very short chapters that keep the reader engaged and eager to continue reading. Once you begin reading, you will find it difficult to put the book down.
I would like to suggest this book to those who enjoy spicy content. However, it may not be suitable for everyone as it contains a significant amount of explicit content and focuses primarily on erotic themes rather than romantic elements.
My only criticism is that the plot was rather thin. However, what plot there was served its purpose, as it was a journey of self-discovery for Vi in terms of her sexuality and opened her world to new sexual possibilities. This book is about sexual pleasures with multiple partners, rather than a grand love story. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and am eagerly anticipating the next book in this series.
Star rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice rating. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I received a copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Dnf - I tried so hard because I really like the concept, but I had to stop reading so many times because it was just a little too cringy. Eventually lost interest
Chloe Slate, Thankyou for this masterpiece! I devoured this book so quickly! I enjoyed every second and the spice was next level! (More in-depth review coming on IG soon)
So disappointed. The first part of this book is easily 5 stars trophy-worthy content. It flows well, it has good chemistry, and a ton of spark.
Then, about of the third of the way in, we switch MC's and the whole thing falls apart. Please don't do that. It really struggles to regain the momentum the first third gave it. We lose the budding romance. We lose the world inside of the original MC. And we move to seeing the story through someone we've met but don't have a strong connection to. It just didn't work for me. The second act tries to go for steamy but the writing also loses the playfulness of the first act and becomes more of a rote description of acts.
Definitely disappointed. I was so ready to buy a copy for my bookshelf, but I think I'm going to pass.
"I don't think I've felt this relaxed and happy in my entire life. It's like I didn't even know my body could feel like this."
This was not the book for me and I really feel bad about that, the author is so nice but this is my opinion and I don't think I will continue with this serie.
I just need a bit more plot than this. 95% of this book is spicy time, in the beginning I was liking it, Vi wanting to find someone to have a long relationship with. Personally I need to get to know the characters and then still this to much spice for me. Because there wasn't really information about the characters I thought the book felt very empty. It also felt way too long for only one weekend
If you want sapphic erotic romance with multiple partners! This is for you. This book was a 3.5 stars for me personally. It’s not a genre I’ve read much of but look forward to reading more! The book focuses more on the main characters self discovery with sex and less on the one to one romance. But that isn’t a bad thing! It’s very steamy and has plenty of different spicy scenes! It’s fast paced and has diverse characters. This was the first book I’ve read by this author (who is the loveliest person fyi) and look forward to see what else they do 😁
Especially since it’s hard to find wlw smut, this was good. Very spicy scenes, well really the whole book is just a big spicy scene. The plot for me though was super thin. I would prefer a little more plot with the smut mixed in but overall, 3 stars. 4 for spiciness.
Super spicy book, loved that!! I wanted a bit more character and plot though, instead of a non-stop sex romp. That being said, the sex party was awesome.
Chloe Slate wrote an incredibly intense, sexy book. I loved the interaction between the MCs. I will continue to follow this author to see what we have in store for us.
In terms of being a work of spicy sapphic erotica, this novel completely succeeded, 5-stars. If you are looking for straightforward smut that doesn’t waste any time getting to the point, then this novel is for you. The writing was also overall well done, for what it was. I liked how despite how saucy the novel was, they took time out to have proper communication and boundaries and whatnot. This was a great touch.
My Rating: "B-" GoodReads: 3-Stars (rounded down)
As a “more complete” novel however, this drops the ball somewhat. I had difficulties figuring out how to rate this because 1) I usually rate based on “what its trying to be”, in this cause smut, but 2) it is a full-length novel and advertised as such, and I was disappointed that there wasn’t more substance to it. In the end it was between 3 or 4, and I rounded down.
The downside to this novel was that there wasn’t much else outside of sex scenes. There wasn’t really a plot, there wasn’t really any character development, and there were barely even characters. I don’t know anything about these characters except for that they like to have sex and they know each other, and their job titles. This is fine if you’re exclusively looking for smut, but I think it would be a lot stronger if the characters had a bit more depth for the reader to connect with; as it was they were essentially faceless cardboard-cutouts moving through the scenes.
There was a POV switch part way through, which I think was a terrible choice. I was surprised how much I disliked it, and I can’t figure out why the author did this. The character we were following was abandoned right as it got into the more intense parts where I would have liked to continue seeing their POV and reactions to the situation, and the new character we knew almost nothing about before that point. If there was a plot to this novel, it was Vi’s journey of self-discovery and as such abandoning her POV was a very strange choice. There was also a romance plotline developing in the first sections (which was very sweet and nice) which was entirely abandoned after the POV switch and never seen again. The entire second half lost a lot of the fun and interesting aspects that the first half had, and was exclusively just descriptions of sex scenes.
Lastly, and this isn’t something I care about too much or am holding against the novel, but they explained the beginning of Wendy and Brenda’s relationship at one point, and it annoyed me that it directly contradicted the short story “Shopping”. I feel petty pointing this out, but it’s a pet peeve when an author contradicts their own Cannon as it’s a very simple thing to avoid.
It’s flat…. There’s 2.5 seconds establishing the beginning of the plot (aka the mc wants to date and not be lonely) fast forward ten minutes and we are throwing the plot out the window like a fricken brick. There’s sex and lot of it but it doesn’t really matter because you don’t care about the million characters that keep being added. I finally quit at the 30% because it felt like I was surfing porntube instead of reading someone that was advertised to me as spicy F/F romance. Which was exactly what I was expecting when I jumped into it and wasted and audible credit on this title. Like the best friend immediately being like…. Come with me and we can all fuck, you can fuck me too, and then they all go to the party house and everyone has interest in everyone. Your just left going wtf about it. Like props to the author for the disclaimer about bdsm and safe BDSM practices…. But what about the safe sex practices? Two of the characters basically say they do fuck anything that breathes and nothing about keeping it clean and safe? Hard fucking no.
Look. If your all about things going into holes. Then cool this is for you. But it’s not for me. Without caring about the characters it drops the spice level way down and ups the ick factor. Honestly it feels like it wasn’t even written by a woman.
It is always wonderful when you feel seen in a book, and find a book that speaks to your being. But I never thought a book would exist that spoke straight to who I am as a person, that felt like it came from my mind and heart in one! THIS is that book! I am actively simultaneously in love with these characters and jealous they are living a version of a life I crave! This story oozes passion, love, community, self love, exploration, spice and friendship all in one! This book breaks societal norms, uplifts LGBTQIA+, poly and kink/bdsm voices all at the same time! I was so emerged into the story that I needed to take a break after finishing it as if I too was in scene with the characters. I am so thankful I found this liberating book with such an amazing author who focused on the rose-colored side of my world bringing the community a true HEA with a truly diverse set of characters 💖
❤️🔥As always please check trigger warnings. Even though this was truly beautiful to me, there can darkness in such beauty for some!
I wasn't prepared for the level of spice in this book! I had a tough time with this one, I enjoyed parts of it, but it wasn't a book I couldn't put down.
I loved the communication that was happening and all the "check-ins" during 🌶🌶 time. However , I would've loved a little more plot and not pure smut! Still a steamy read and a good one for a beach read!
I really wish there was more plot but the smut was amazing. A little more plot and character building would have easily made this a 4 star read. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever read a book with this amount of pussy eating in it. I don’t know if I’m pleased or slightly disappointed
No slow burn in sight here, that's for sure! This exploration of sapphic polyamory and BDSM dives right in with a reasonably diverse cast of characters. It starts off with the character Vi being in a bit of a slump, and her friend convinces her to come w her to what is basically a fancy invite only sex party weekend at... The Mansion. The first few chapters involve various pairings of characters, but it quickly turns into an extended BDSM session with Vi and the married hosts of the party.
I have not read much BDSM romance, so take this with a grain of salt, but i thought the author did a good job of establishing enthusiastic consent between all the characters and having them practice healthy bdsm dynamics with safe words and aftercare.
The POV shifts between Vi, who is mostly submissive, and one of the other characters who is submissive also but takes on a dom role for several scenes. So it was a good mix of perspectives if you are interested in that.
You get what you came for, 90% spice, 10% plot.
The kindle edition i read also had two short unrelated novellas that were also fun spicy reads.
I've just finished this and let me tell you, I ate that book up. If you're looking for that steamy steamy spicy spicy romance then this is the one. The scenes were just epic and the dirty talk was another level. Literally flying to the moon and back good. If you're looking for a book with a slow build then this isn't for you. It just gets right into it with the steam, and I'm talking enough to make this bi girl squirm and blush. Most Sapphic books don't usually get me all flustered but this is an exception. The story is rather short but don't let that deter you. There are a few short stories which are unlinked in the end which are just as fab. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I fell for a certain character and wanted more development on their relationship with the FMC.
Somehow, I expected more out of this book. Whether that's on me or all the hype, I'm not sure.
I read the sample first, and that hooked me. But those first few chapters are the only plot you get, then it's back-to-back sex scenes. And all three mains have the wonderful ability to squirt.
I also expected more of a mixture of women/combinations, but again, after the initial gathering, everyone goes home and it's one big threesome f*%Kfest.
The book also ends at 75% and is then filled with snippets from the author's other work.
While I enjoyed the story enough, I have discovered, despite being a fan of erotica, there is such a thing as too much sex in a book - for me.
The book was alright. For me personally I need more of a plot and character development than that. I barely know what the characters look like or care by the end of the book and there is literally no plot. I also struggled to know where characters were in relation to each other or the mansion especially after the POV switch… which was a choice. A bit more description about literally everything other than the sex, like the people, the mansions itself, each room etc.. would have gone a long way to set the scene a bit more.
The majority of the book is sex scenes, some of which were steamy and there was constant consent and mentions of ways to practice safe BDSM so it wasn’t all bad but not my preferred type of smut.!
I wanted to love this, I'm a sucker for some intense erotic romance however this was just too much. Sadly, after multiple attempts, I DNF.
I would have liked to see more character development to have some kind of connection to them, the descriptions were minimal. It started off really well and then I feel like the channel changed to a low budget porno with somewhat cheesy dialog. The spice WAS good for the first half of the book and then the second half happened.... the main characters changed and I had a hard time following who was who and what was happening.
The idea was great, would just like to see a little bit more plot and character development to build on.
The first part was Vi's POV. This part I enjoyed a lot. 4 ⭐️
The second part was Wendy's POV. It took me a little while before my brain got along with that. Also: I didn't enjoy the second part as much as the first. Too much role play for me. 3⭐️
The third part were just a few pages. Could as wel be the ending of part 2.
When the story about the Mansion was done, there were 2 enjoyable short stories. Those had nothing to do with the rest of the book, but were better than part 2 of the main story in my opinion.
Well, I guess the goal of this was to be 🔥 🔥 🔥 in which case, mission accomplished. On the whole, though, I’d have liked a bit more plot. And, for that matter, where did Emma go in the second half? I wasn’t as ready to throw away the rest of the cast, since there were some interesting relationships there. I was encouraged to see the author comment on FB there’s a sequel coming which “might have something resembling a plot,” lol. And might also see more of Emma! But yeah, definitely hot.
On paper this should have been a great read, super hot and fun. However, 1. The audiobook version was horrible and sounded like it was recorded on someone’s 6 year old phone in a bathroom and 2. There was ZERO plot and 3. All of the spice (which was like 99.9% of the book) sounded more like someone listing of the errands they ran on a Tuesday and 4. The dialogue had to be the cringiest shit I’ve ever read!
Wow, now this was a spicy surprise! Was not at all disappointed in any of this book. Loved the conversations of consent throughout the whole book, the periods of "yellow" for checking in, and the outright sexyness of the whole story. Can't wait to check out your other work!
Was not a fan of this. I finished it, but only because I was almost done by the time I was deciding to DNF.
I have no issue with this being 98% smut, but it felt very flat. There was no opportunity get to know characters, no build to follow, and the character interactions didn’t feel genuine. I wasn’t invested in the story - overall just not for me.
This book was so spicy I wasn't prepared. While my eyes ate up all the spice, my mind couldn't get over how good it was. Brenda and Wendy remind me a little of Swingtown. Which is amazing. 10/10 spicy read. Can't wait to read more about Vi, Yara, Brenda, and Wendy!
