This is super cute I love the artwork in the stories really nice and wholesome and I love how they depict blindness in one of the main characters and how they’re able to function in life even though they can’t see usually don’t get a whole lot of disabled it in manga so nice to see that they actually treat this properly I can’t wait to see where the story goes

As in my review for The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife Vol. 4, I love the consistent humor in this series. I like the story's progression, and all the ways it is developing.

In this particular volume, it really stood out to me how many things this series sheds light on in what is supposed to be a simple romance. As in the last volume, Jarashi struggles to find patterned clothing that compliments her patterned fur. At first, I viewed this as just further development of Jarashi and adding depth to her tough exterior. It is, but it also addresses the underlying issue of body positivity. It was done in a very relatable way, and flowed natural, which is probably why it didn't cross my mind in the last volume. I liked that it wasn't shoved in my face, and felt organic to the story. Its been built up since the beginning of the series, such as when Jarashi would insist on shopping with Shizuka and dressing her up.

Same thing about discrimination. Again, I saw it in an earlier volume, when an Invisible Woman was accused of stealing from her employer. That was clearly a display of prejudice and discrimination, but this volume did it differently. When Kiriguro is working as a cook while trying to get hired as a model, he is yelled at for rolling his sleeves up. His co-worker claims someone could get hurt, and Kiriguro silently agrees while pulling his sleeves down. To an extent, I can understand his co-working. Working in a restaurant is hectic, and if you're not paying attention, an Invisible Person could pose a potential safety hazard. However, the co-worker didn't even apologize for hitting Kiriguro with a pan. The co-worker jumped straight to blaming Kiriguro. Also, again restaurants are hectic, but simple spatial awareness for the person you are working beside is still something that can be applied. Kiriguro can't go completely invisible, so his co-worker could have easily seen Kiriguro's gloves and work shirt. This was very small and restricted to one page, so I almost missed it. Again, I like how this issue was brought in an organic way, and had a positive spin at the end of that chapter.

I only had two minor issues. There was a panel near the end where Akira and Shizuka kiss. The image itself is more of them pulling away after kissing. There's no panel for the kiss, but the panel given has the sound effect. I hate I wasn't given the kiss, and that particular panel just looks awkward to me.

Then there's Akira's parents. Why would they wear masks after their son told them his girlfriend was blind? It added for comedic relief, but I feel something else could've been done for that opposed to the masks. It also just added this awkward exchange between Akira and his parents. If it weren't for all the other Invisible People characters, I would've thought all Invisible People with the exception of Akira were this peculiar.

Overall, though, the meeting of the families was a great direction to go. Not to mention Shizuka's brother was hilarious. It'll be interesting to see what comes next in volume 6!

The invisible man and his soon to be wife, volumen 5, fue de lo más adorable. Me encantó conocer a las familias de los protagonistas y verlos interactuar. Creo que fue una manera muy interesante de profundizar en cada uno de ellos y en sus historias antes de llegar a la adultez. También amé cómo la relación entre ambos sigue fortaleciéndose y cómo se adaptan tan bien a las circunstancias y a las características del otro. Amo este manga porque me ayuda mucho con mi ansiedad, y siento que siempre termino de buen humor después de leer un nuevo volumen.😍❣️💜

So cute and things really get moving! We’ve reached the meeting the families and moving in together stage! Yakou’s brother takes the spotlight away from our couple as he plays overprotective brother and gives us some giggles. Yakou is just as funny as her mind is always going a bit far from what Tounome is trying to say or express. 😂 looking forward to the next volume with their daily lives now that they live together.

This was just as adorable as the other books in this series.

Tounome and Yakou meet each other's families and to mention moving in together. Both families are on the quirky side but the things seem to go fairly well and neither are opposed to them moving in together.

Yakou's little brother is understandably protective of his sister and certainly makes things awkward at times but eventually he warms up to Tounome.

Looking forward to continuing this series!

I don’t know if I’ll continue with the series. Sadly books are getting a little too expensive and for nothing much to happen it hurts my heart and wallet.

It is a very cute and wholesome story but it’s moving in a very slow pace.

This was such a cute addition!! I absolutely loved that we got to meet everyone’s parents, and I hope we get to see more of Tounome’s friend, he seems so cool - I love the attention to detail RE the different communities in this manga so much 😭

Things don't exactly go as planned as they make plans to meet the families. There's a protective brother, silent (yet proud) dad, and a set of parents unsure how to interact. I found it fascinating to learn more about invisible people and their way of life.
