This isn’t the first book of theirs I’ve read lately that reminds me of or is a total copy of one of their earlier more successful books but not done as well. I have a favorite book called Just one Look by Lucy Darling. The h marries a reclusive hard man that only has eyes and softness for her, in order to save her dad from jail. There is also a surprise wedding at the end of that one where the H is trying to give his wife the wedding she missed out on. That book is better written with a H who earns the h’s forgiveness and love through patience and kindness. I feel like AR took Lucy Darling’s book and mixed it all up with one of their earlier books, Labor of love, which is an amnesia book where the H pulls the h from a car wreck and when she can’t remember what happened he lets her think that they’re married. This book doesn’t compare at all to either of those books.

I enjoyed reading this story. What a fantastic way to start a story. Life is about the choices we make, and sometime the reason why. He was an Alphahole to everyone but her, and in the end, it won him her heart. Loved the ending.
