Read this book!! Superheroes! Science! Time travel! Mystery! Little Stars has all the things! The plot is developing so well. There are many layers to the characters and conflicts, which creates beautiful rising action. You can actually feel it. The main character is a teen girl, but that doesn't mean adults or teen boys wouldn't enjoy this book! The side plots are so interesting as you get to tap into the thoughts of many other characters, and you know it's going to all connect in the end. Even though there are people with superpowers and reanimated corpses, everything is so dang believable because the characters say and do what real people say and do. I found myself laughing so often! I've become primarily a fantasy reader, so, not shockingly, I find myself thinking that as a whole, the characters I usually read about lean on the side of unbelievable. This is such a refreshing turn of pace! Book 1 ends with a cliffhanger, but it's a very stabile one! You'll love this story!

Blake Petit is a great storyteller. He sets the foundation and draws the reader into the world of Siegel City pretty quickly. While there are some elements of other beings and time travel with which I was not familiar, Petit explained them in a such a way which helped me understand without feeling bogged down or as though I was being spoken down to. The action in the story had me eager to keep turning the pages, and the development of Andi as a teenage girl maturing before our eyes was more than believable. If you’d like a great action story, with lots of brain activity happening, pick up Twinkle, Twinkle!
