It was very comprehensive and has practical strategies for healing and growth. It focuses on understanding and moving beyond a trauma, paired with exercises. Very valuable resources! Highly recommended!
This was an okay book. There was no information about the author in the book itself, so I have no idea what her experience with anxious attachment is. Her suggestions and information aren't really all that unique. There were two things I found helpful in this book. The first was the reminder to practice regular breathing in the face of anxiety, and to include it regularly. The other was journaling. Many counsellors suggest journaling, but there were some useful prompts included.
Something I have not read much in relation to anxious attachment issues is the necessity of play. The author talked about the value of playing rather than always seeing life seriously. I thought that was a good suggestion.
It's an okay book, but I wouldn't say it's a must read.
