Dark and suspenseful, this action filled book was non stop. The story is very complex and switched narrators frequently, which made this a challenging read. The majority of the book takes place in or around the North Sea, with a quest surrounding a mysterious and dark relic.

I found the juxtaposition between futuristic and non western equipment interesting. Definitely gave off action movie vibes.

OMg 😱 this was a great book. It was page turner and the suspense was absolutely incredible. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. It was an action packed of emotions and sacrifices. It was mind blowing and it caught my attention of what is going to happen next in this story. This was quite the amazing read. I enjoyed each of these stories. I hadn't realized when I got this book that there was more than one story in it, but it was totally worth it anyways. I would love to hear more from this author as this was a complete delight for me.

So much to unravel as these stories takes readers on an adventure. The characters are complex and unique which bring the pages to life. It was exciting to read and was very enjoyable.

This story is not one I would read normally. I am not a nautical type gal. This new author does write well, but at times, I felt the detail was too much. Overall, the story is nice.

This debut book is WONDERFUL! I hope to read many more. I found myself not wanting many of them to end. I don't find that often when reading short stories from the same author. Kudos to Dan Edelman without a doubt.
