The dark and steamy conclusion to the Deadmen's Club Duet!
I was given the chance to escape, and I chose to stay, but will that choice break me, or remake me into something stronger?
As the shadows at Blackvellyn University grow darker, my entanglement with the Deadmen’s Club that claimed me only deepens. Now I find myself irreversibly bound to Hades and his two Death Knights, and their dark rituals have awakened a depraved passion in my soul that only grows with each heated touch.
My heart has awakened too, stirred by the lives and the souls of these men, each bearing their own tortured secret, but in my lonely life, I’ve never known love, so how can I know if they return mine? Love, I've learned, can be as binding and dangerous as the oaths we swear in the darkness. My heart, so fiercely guarded before, now belongs entirely to these three men who have claimed not just my body, but my soul.
But as the club rituals grow darker, and I follow willingly down that path, there is another shadow in the darkness. Another masked figure, a predator in the night, hell-bent on claiming what he believes is his. He's played this twisted game before, and I'm his latest pawn. My men, skilled and ruthless, have sworn to protect me. But the trap is closing, the clock is ticking, and in this game of shadows, the only certainty is danger.
The Deadmen's Duet is a dark academia reverse harem which explores themes that could be tr*ggering for some and the first book, Deadmen's Captive, concludes with a cliffhanger. If you like your alpha males possessive, obsessive and damaged, and your FMC's with her own darkness inside, then this series is for you. This takes place in an entirely fictional world set in the UK.
Wow that took a turn, book 1 was good, book 2 h0ly cr@p that just opened the door so much more to what the guys had to endure and what Paige had to do to protect. That part had me nervous, but it tied itself up (huh metaphorically said I swear but there is tying up both consensually and then in a horror scene no).
The smut is soooo much deeper in this one BUT read triggers because I’ve read almost all tropes but the description for one of the characters had me almost in tears and wanting to rip apart the aggressor- well want to rip apart all of the aggressors but some you are going to downright loathe.
This carried from book 1 of who the heck is the mystery character, and of course is revealed. That journey does have you waiting and has some twists.
It was a good read, once a certain part started a could not stop reading because oh crap I had to see it through. I would love to see them in blurbs in the future so following author to see if they ever come up again. Loved!
We got all our answers in the conclusion of the dead men's duet. If you like smutty dark romance (and I mean Daaaaaark 🔪🩸💀🔪) you will be served!!! Do check the trigger warning because it is way darker than book one. As in the previous book, the writing is on point. We really see the evolution of Paige and how she becomes more confident in herself and with her guys. There is also a lot more smut and we finally get to see the twisted side of Nate. We learn more in depth about the main character past trauma and I was happy that they got the HEA they all deserved after all they've been through. *I received an ARC for an honest review Steam level:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ World building: 🌎🌎 Suspense/mystery: 🕵🏽♀️🕵🏽♀️🕵🏽♀️ MFMM DARK Contemporary RH Book 2/2
The only reason I’m not giving this a 1 star is because I love the MMC’s. Bast, Tristan and Nate were babes. However, the villian in this book was deranged to the point I nearly DNF in the last 100 pages!!! The cutting, the stabbing AINT IT. Fucking vile and made me feel sick. I mean, he definitely lived up to the title of being the villian. Also side note how the fucking hell did all those penis’ fit at the same time?! So funny that it went from ‘he had the worlds largest cock’ to being able to fit 2 others in at the same time like ‘sure Jan’ 🌝 but who am I to judge women’s stretch perineums.

The conclusion to the Deadmen’s Club, this duet was so good! This is dark so many sure to check trigger warnings.
I absolutely loved this duet. It’s super super spicy, which was great. There’s suspense, and some twists. The men were amazing. I loved Tristan, ahh he was swoon worthy. Paige was an amazing fmc. I loved her attitude, she was so sweet but so incredibly strong. Her strength was just fantastic to read about.

If you want a dark why choose, with suspense, a st@lker, protective morally grey men, and lots of hot spice…read this! ♡

This is the second book in the “Deadmen's Club” and WOW it is hot, hot, hot 🔥 I could not put this book down - it had me hooked from the first page. I thought the first book in the duet, “Deadman’s Captive”, was outstanding, but “Deadman’s Queen”, blew it out of the water! In this book you see Paige evolve into Persephone, Queen of the Underworld and take her place next to Hades and his two Death Knights. They have claimed her body, but will they claim her heart? Will she claim their hearts at the end of her term as Persephone? Do they have a future together ……
Each of the four main characters, as the book continues, begin to show the reasons for why they are the way they are - and you will love it! I know I did 😉😉 Each of the boys develop their own unique relationship, qualities and traits with Paige, and her with them, Sebastian, Tristan and Nate. Paige blossoms with the boys and her confidence slowly grows, as does her love for them. You will become totally engrossed and be highly disappointed when the story comes to a close …….. I certainly was!
I could not put this book down, page to page, chapter to chapter - read in less than twelve hours! Nearly every page sizzles with hot wanton sex or the thoughts or possibilities that could happen! The book, like the first one in the duet is addictive - I did not want it to end! Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊
A book where the fmc actually grows as a person? Who knew that could happen! It was nice to see the changes she went through as she becomes more confident in herself. Most of the time fmc are described as a tough girl but they end up whiny and immature. And the guys fall in love with the girl within 4 pages, and most of the time they have had maybe one convo with her before the “love”. Not this duet! So thank you!
This book had a lot more excitement happen BUT I felt like the epilogue kind of rushed too many things. I was soooo looking forward to Lord Carver’s demise, completely at the hands of the guys. But then it’s just like a one sentence thing… done by a home robbery? Lame. Everyone gets a super happy ending out of nowhere which was blah to me, too. Tristan’s dreams come true. Bast gets to leave and do his thing. Her paintings sell for an unbelievable 80mil.
There were some things that bothered me but didn’t change my rating since I enjoyed the duet regardless:
1. Cameras were removed from her room once she agrees to be Persephone but she’s been getting letters since her first week at school. Shouldn’t they still have caught him on camera? She got letters for weeks before the cameras were removed.
2. After getting the threatening doll about Tristan’s death she thinks it’s not real since Tristan hasn’t been hurt yet.. but his brakes were cut literally right before the doll arrived? Was that not threatening enough?
3. Her mom wanted her to go to this school (out of nowhere, since she hates Paige’s art) and wants her to get in with these rich people.. she should have thought of her as a suspect for filing out the application right away.
4. Her mom smashes her face into the toilet multiple times.. but she goes to the Christmas party right after without any bruises? Or any pain when Nate pulls her hair hard during their fun time? He only finds cuts when he bathes her after. He was literally yanking her hair roughly…
5. If they know Paige’s stalker has a skull mask like them (the night guard tells them so when they question him about who is sneaking into her room) then WHY would they continue to use that mask in the hunt??
6. It was very obvious right away who the stalker was. And it was confirmed when she is dancing/talking to said stalker and leaves with the guys, then the next chapter is “unknown” writing about that very thing happening. Just write his name instead of unknown after that lol. It’s not a mystery anymore.
Overall good book. I’d read this author again. I like these tropes and this author did a better job than most I have read lately, so kudos!
🤯WOWWWWW🤯 I think I’m still processing lol. Y’all are not prepared, but you need to be! DO NOT ignore the TWs because this book can be hard to emotionally handle…so you’ve been warned! If you thought you loved the darkness of the 1st book, well, expect it to get even darker. Your emotions are going to be all over the place, because the backstories that are revealed for our main characters….let’s just say it will test whether your own inner darkness is ready to come out to seek a bit of payback against the people that made them suffer 😈😏 The character growth & change for Paige is very evident in how her interactions change with the guys as her confidence & inner strength grow, along with her feelings for the guys. I loved the spice (trulllllly exceptional smut y’all 🙌🏻🔥), the suspense & danger, the mysteries, having more twists & turns (who knew there could be MORE lol), but the best part was the intense love stories that we saw being built between Paige, Bast, Tristan & Nate with each new revelation between them (there was also more romance than you might expect) 🥰 You will not find a warm & fuzzy love story within these pages, but you will get to experience an intense, decadent, sensual journey that will possibly test your boundaries (everyone is different 😉). This took me to the edge of mine, but never took me over my limits, which made for a very heightened level of enjoyment. I’m so happy both books of this duet came out at the same time, and I loved them so much that they will definitely go on my reread list 🖤
This is Book 2 of the Deadmen’s Club duet and is the conclusion of Paige and men’s story. This why choose was full of action and plenty of smexy times that are intense and are guaranteed to burn up your kindle. Please be aware of your triggers as there is vi0lenc3 and graphic on page SA of the FMC (multiple times) by her stalker (not the MMCs).
I loved that Sebastian, Tristan and Nate characters grew. You were able to see how their feelings for Paige grew and strengthened beyond the Hades and Persephone contract of the Deadmen’s Club.
Paige continues to be one of my favorite FMC. She has been through so much and yet is still able to be true to herself. She finally stands up to her mother and this strength is reflected in her relationship with each of the guys.
The way the four of them come together after Paige’s attack was fantastic. The guys’ friendship deepened as they were able to show their softer side to Paige without giving up what made them who they were: OTT alphaholes with v10lent tendencies.
This author’s writing style greatly appealed to me. Her plot kept my interest, her characters grew, while there was v10lenc3 and SA, it was not over the top and helped move the plot forward. The smexy times were steamy and involved MF, MFM, and MFMM combinations. There is no sword crossing in this story.
This is not a standalone. It is highly encouraged that you read Book 1 before reading this conclusion of the series.
An amazing conclusion to a spicy, sexy duet! This book is full of thrilling twists and turns and scenes that will make you blush. Best not to read while at work.
Paige really comes into her own in the second book, gaining back small pieces of her that she thought her mother had stole. I thoroughly enjoyed her time with her boys. Tristan helps her heal through giving her what she's deserved from the beginning in a family sense. Nate helps her heal through sharing his own trauma. And Bast, hoo-boy. That man is sex on a stick, like most Hades, even if his is only by temporary title.
I expected a little bit more from the hunt scene, but the drama only built from there. What I particularly liked about the second book in the duet was the focus on taking time to heal, not just having a magic pill because you suddenly loved someone. I don't want to share too many spoilers, but particularly towards the end, there's no immediate bounce back, which I appreciate.
Paige gets her vengeance and peace, as does Nate, we get some super sweet scenes with Tristan and family and Bast finally shows his soft side. Plus, we get a perfect hot and spicy end scene. All in all, 5/5.
The dark and steamy conclusion to the Deadmen's Club Duet! Please do your research and check those triggers as this one is even darker than the first one!
This story picks up with the unknown stalker destroying Paige's dorm and Bast moving Paige into the house with all the boys.
Holiday time has arrived, and everyone is heading home including Paige. This encounter will be the first one since Paige learned a few truths. Paige’s mom continues the abuse while Paige is home. The abuse happens before the oh so important Syndicate party. While attending this party Paige learns of Nate's truth and then proceeds to share her own.
Paige is one of favorite FMC in terms of character developments and growth. She really does come into her own and earn the title “Queen.” We eventually learn who the stalker is and Paige gets her revenge.
I got very bored reading this. The plot was very predictable and offered nothing exciting. I would’ve hoped at least for the stalker to be someone other than the most obvious in-your-face character.
After the 50% the book felt really rushed. Kate was forgotten, the whole Persephone/Hades thing was also mostly forgotten. A lot of things were left on the back burner.
There was only three MMC’s but still I felt like Bash didn’t get as much pages as Tristian and Nate got. I understood Paige’s feelings for Tristian and Nate, but Bash? Not really. At no point did they connect imo.
Now, I know in the trigger warnings rape was listed. I’ve read other books where rape has taken place. What I didn’t expect was the in detail and in length description of it. The way it was described almost felt like a smut scene. It creeped me out.

Deadmen’s Queen is book 2 in the Deadmen’s Club Duet and what a fantastic conclusion to the series. As with the first book I suggest checking the TW/CW as some scenes/topics aren’t for everyone.
Wow, Elizabeth has done it again, taking a further step into the Deadmen’s Club book 2 is a little more darker than book 1. I really loved that we see the emotional growth within Paige she is still the loving and caring person but she has also become a lot more confident and stronger within herself. I also enjoyed that we got more backstories for the characters. The book keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout with twists, turns and suspensions and spice to keep those fires burning. I really enjoyed this duet.
Definitely recommend to all the dark romance lovers out there.
Wow I thought Deadmen’s Captive was good. But it had nothing on Deadmen’s Queen. This duet was just amazing.
I loved how Paige became more confident, more self loving and independent in this book. With the help of her men. Sebastian, Tristan and Nate who are all dark and sinister. Lots of twist and turns in this book. It’s great how you begin to understand why the men are the way they are in this book. Everyone compliments each other. They all have their own special relationship with Paige and she does with them. It was nice the way it all unfolded. Definitely a page turner. All dark and smutty. Right up my alley.
I will definitely be reading more books from this author. This duet reeled me in (hook, line, sinker).
First time reading this author and I enjoyed this duet. It’s really dark with lots of steam. I do love to read the college reverse harem. Paige has been an abused child growing up and afraid of her parents. At 22 she is now been allowed to follow her desire of being an artist by her mother who has approved her going to Blackvellyn college. She has been secretly signed up to a dark society in the college to be Persephone. She then meets Bast who is Hades and his Blacknights Nate and Tristan. They each are attracted to her but they all have darkness within them too. She also has a stalker and they are there to protect her. This is the conclusion and we now know each of their stories. I liked reading this author and I do like how she writes.
Excellent!!! I loved book 1, but I think book 2 was even better! I was invested from beginning to end! There were twists and turns, truths come out and so much more!! Most importantly, we find out who the stalker is! There was drama, suspense, lots of steam and so many emotions.
Paige grows so much. She becomes the queen she was always meant to be. We also see how much the guys truly love her.
The author does an excellent job tying up all loose ends and gives Paige and her guys a much deserved HEA!!!
This duology is the best dark romance I've read for a WHILE - it's absolutely giving Nocticadia vibes but with not one - THREE gorgeous men - the complexity of trauma and abuse is handled SO WELL in these books and I have to applaud the author for balancing the measure of this being both incredibly sexy and painfully sad in areas - as an abuse survivor myself I found it absolutely compelling and healing reading about a woman finding her strength and coming out of the darkness ❤️ bloody amazing read both books and a strong 5⭐ duology!
If you’re going to write this level of smut, I hardly think you need to graphically depict violent rape and torture…come on, what are we doing here? We came here for the RH, obviously. Anyway, this is the same concept as The Lords of Pain, L.O.R.D.S., etc. The degree of spice here is disconcerting and they did things that I had never even conceptualized before. I cannot in good conscience recommend this to anyone, but if you pick up this book I think you already know what you’re getting yourself into haha.
Really enjoyed these duet. There are lots of twists and turns. If you are faint heart its not for you. There are very dark and difficult to read parts but it is done so well. There is lots going on and always want to be turning the page. It flows well and you learn a lot about the characters which i liked. Three men one women all healing each other with a hell of a lot of spicy thrown in. One of those books you’re sad to finish but can’t wait to see how it ends. Definitely will be reading more from this author.
Not going to lie....this one broke me a little. It was dark, gritty and boy oh boy did this characters get put through the ringer. I mean all of them. Both mentally and physically. Geez....I wasn't ready. But I enjoy the rough ride. Elizabeth rounded off this duet to perfection. Beautifully done as always. I even liked the FMC Paige near the end. Talk about growth and strength. Love this and can't wait for more in this world....Elizabeth kills it with the worldbuilding.
I love a good RH, touch her and ☠️, secret society, stalker, 🌶️ dark romance and this book did not disappoint!
The 🌶️ be spicing from chapter one.
I instantly fell in love with the MMCs but I struggled at first with the FMC, that being said her character development is strong and by the end of book 2 I was in love with her too.
I highly recommend the duet, so much so much I've asked the author to write more haha.
I loved book 1, and this one was just as amazing! Continuing Paige's story, this book had twists, manipulation and some truly heartbreaking moments.
The relationship between the men and their Persephone (Paige) continued to evolve throughout this story. We learned about the families of the three men, and more about Paige's family, too. I was so mad about some of those people!
This conclusion to the duet was a rollercoaster ride, and though tough at times, it completely sucked me in. I hadn't read this author's work before this duet, and I don't know why! I need to read more!
Wow! Deadmen's Captive was a great read but Deadmen's Queen came in swinging. I love Paige, her character I felt developed really well and got stronger. I really enjoyed the twists and turns in this novel it became grittier. The spicy got hotter compared to the first novel. I loved how captivating Elizabeth Blackthorne makes this novel, her writing draws you and has youbin a choke hold. The characters created are all great, especially Tristan - swoon! I loved reading this duology
I felt like things were rushed at the end and I'm still torn on how the entire kidnapping was wrapped up. I love her final exhibit tho, it made me emotional. I'm a bit disappointed on how it wasn't them that delivered the demise on Nate's father. But then again, this is not about revenge. This is about moving beyond the abuse and finding the right support system; finding ourselves in the midst of everything. I love that Paige found it for her.
What a fantastic ending to a duet! There were still trials for Paige to go through and not just with the Deadmen's Club! Her stalker is unhinged, her mother is still a controlling b'tch and she still has course work to do!! I loved how supportive the guys were to her and how they helped with her problems, also how strong she became herself, when she knew her own mind and desires.
Book 2 is WOW. Love this duet. This is super spicy so check the trigger warnings.
Paige has been given the chance to leave but she has decided to stay. Her mother keeps interfering. Paige moves in with the guys as her dorm gets destroyed. There is twists and suspense and we finally get to find out who the stalker is. The guys are amazing and Paige just keeps growing.
Book two was great! I didn't think it could get darker, but it did, and I loved it! Paige has been through so much, but this book takes it to another level. We also find out more about the guys, including what is going on with Nate. I definitely recommend this duet, but please check the trigger warnings before diving in!
Elizabeth killed it in Book 2! Her writing is captivating, and I couldn't put the book down. I loved seeing Paige develop into a strong FMC. As dark forces close in on Paige, what will her men do to protect her? Will she be strong enough to overcome what is thrown at her? You'll be on the edge of your seat until the very end!
