"The Game of Destiny: Fortune Telling with Lenormand Cards," by Mario dos Ventos is the second book I have read about Lenormand. It was a gift from the Priestess of Grove Argentum, which is a Manhattan/NYC-based Chapter of the International Fellowship of the Goddess Isis.
My copy has exactly 212 pages and the last four pages are completely blank "end pages."
I enjoyed this book much more than the very first book I ever read about Lenormand. The translation from Brazilian Portuguese to English was very good. I enjoyed reading the traditional meanings for the Lenormand Cards, and I especially enjoyed reading the meanings of the Lenormand Cards from a Brazilian Umbanda and Quimbanda perspective.
I enjoyed reading the Rituals, especially the one for "Divination with the Help of a Gypsy Spirit."
This was definitely a very good and concise book and it helped me further my studies and practice of Lenormand Card Reading. I would definitely recommend it, especially to anyone with an interest in Afro-Brazilian Magickal Traditions.
