I should’ve known the last five years of peace wouldn’t last. Bad dreams were always an omen of unpleasant things coming my way. After retiring from my last gig, I kind of hoped that the troubles would stay at bay a little longer. Memories run deep for my old enemies, and now they have arrived in my city, wreaking havoc on me and my brothers.
Out of nowhere, this hellcat of a woman came roaring into my life with her beautiful smile, sarcastic attitude, and irresistible curves like I love them. She came in dragging along a set of dangerous family problems that was somehow tangled up with my old enemies problems, which spawned an entirely new batch of B.S. I was doing just fine without.
My mama always said I had a nose for trouble and this woman was it with a capital T, but damn it, I couldn’t stop playing with the fire.
I couldn’t keep well enough alone.
She probably deserves someone better than me, but I’m a greedy son of a B. I'm not letting her go. We both deserve some goodness in our lives and that's why we deserve each other. In my darkness, this woman brings light to my life in a way that no one else can. She shines like a beacon where it’d always been gray. I’ll be damned if our enemies mess things up for us.
I protect what is mine.
Now, everybody gets to see why they call me Wraith.
Because in the silence, I’m the darkness that haunts their dreams and consumes all.
The members of Sin City never leave before all the cards are played.
I am so glad the author was able to get the book reloaded because I just knew from the pages that I read that this book was going to be fire. But it's more like an inferno! Right from jump, Wraith is already having issues with a snitch inside the club and a their inside his business, The Grotto. But then he meets Zaire at his bar, and his whole world changes in an instant. Wraith, aka Rainier, has a past that was quickly trying to catch up with him. The problem was his past mingled with Zaire's current family drama.
When I say this book took off and action just kept coming and I couldn't put my Kindle down to save my life, I'm not lying. If you blinked, you missed something. This book is exactly what you expect from the Sin City MC!! Wraith and his brothers didn't play when one of their own needs their help. So when the enemy decided to come to New Orleans, the Sinners did what they do best. I have to say L.D. Black took it to a whole other level with this book. The New Orleans chapter is setting the bar this season!! I can't wait to read the next book Sheol by L. Loren. Fabulous story!! I highly recommend it.
My rating is what it is because I was loving the action and story line, then all of a sudden it ends without it feeling like an end or indicating that the story will be continued. I would love to know if more is come but would not recommend reading this unless you like feeling lost at the end.
Wraith lived up to his name. He was a living weapon in human form. When his woman, Firefly, was in danger, he released everything within him to rain down on her enemies. Their connection was explosive when they met. Neither one could explain what was happening. They just knew they were meant for each other. This is a great story, and I enjoyed every last word.
What happened? Did they go to war? WTF! Worst MC book ever! You didn't do justice to this book. It could have been a good book if you added another 100 pages. But 95 pages? Really!
I went back and reloaded the book, and the remaining chapters uploaded. The remainder of the book addressed all of the issues not addressed in the first release. Zaire and Wraith ended up being perfect for each other, but not all ends HEA.
Wow, big, burly, gruf biker, that's who Rainer is but deadly assassin as well. Zaire was fiery and bad was and who Wraith needed.... Great storyline and well written, great addition to sin city nola
I loved everything about this book. The characters and storyline was awesome. I would definitely recommend this book to friends and family. I gave the book 5 stars because it kept my interest and was well written.
You left people hanging with this book .every thing is up in the air. Ms. Black you have got to do better in order to get a decent review or 5 stars. What a real letdown.
