Her Elemental Dragons: The Complete Series

Rate this book
Four sexy dragon shifters. A huntress with a dark past. A bond that could save the world.

I’ve spent my entire life running from my past and staying out of trouble. That’s how I’ve kept alive ever since my parents were killed by the Black Dragon, who’s ruled the world under her oppressive talons for as long as anyone can remember.

But it’s hard to keep a low profile when four handsome strangers turn up in your village claiming you’re destined to save the world. According to them, they’ve been chosen by the gods to become elemental dragons—and I’m their fated mate.

Which means one day I’ll be the most powerful dragon of all, able to control all four elements. Assuming I can unlock my powers first…by getting intimate with each of my sexy mates.

Auric, the clever prince. Jasin, the cocky soldier. Slade, the protective blacksmith. Reven, the mysterious assassin. And me. We’re the only ones who can bring balance to the world and overthrow the Black Dragon—if she doesn’t tear us to shreds first.

But as we continue our journey, secrets are uncovered about my mates that make me question everything, even as things heat up between us. Yet the greatest secret of all lies in my own past—and it might destroy us completely.

This collection contains all five novels in the Her Elemental Dragons series—Stroke The Flame, Kiss The Sky, Shake The Earth, Ride The Wave, and Embrace The Dark—as well as the prequel novella, Light The Fire. Over 1000 pages!

Epic battle of dragons!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 🤓☹️😙🥰
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Kira - her parents were killed by the Black Dragon, a queen that has ruled the world for 630 years. While out hunting, Kira comes across an old woman who gives her a cryptic prophecy about a coming storm that Kira will be unable to escape. A few minutes later she was hit directly by lightning and didn’t die. She lived with her best friend Tasha and Tasha’s father who beat Tasha every time Kira came home without some food.

The Heroes: Auric, Jasin, Slade & Reven - Jasin was a soldier of the onyx army and was given powers by the fire god and is a fire realm elemental and the crimson dragon. Auric is a nobleman and was given powers from the air god and is the gold dragon, Slade was a blacksmith and was given powers from the earth god, he is the jade dragon. Reven was an assassin and was given powers by the water god and is the Azure dragon.

The Story: When Kira meets Jasin, he told her that he was told he would one day become the fire dragon, after they bonded with each other. At that time he would be able to change into a dragon at will and she will then have the element of fire as well and that she would one day become the black dragon. Soon after, the other three guys arrive and tell her they are meant to overthrow the Black dragon and her elementals.

They tell her that they have to travel to each of the god’s temples where they have to intimately bond with with Kira in order to become the dragon for that god and Kira will gain the element as well. Once they are all bonded, Kira will become the black dragon and they should be ready to take on the current black dragon.

The book was told in multiple points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter. I have listened to Stephen Dexter many times before and he is quite good. He is able to do different voices for different characters and I like his voice and cadence very much. I don’t know that I have heard Lia Langola before but she does a good job on both male and female voices.

I like these kind of fantasy books where the characters are on a journey and end up facing a bunch of different perils and meeting various people along the way. This one was good and quite steamy, but there was still more story than smut. I liked the reverse harem aspect and the fact that the characters got to know each other well as they journeyed to the temple of each of the gods in order for each of the men to bond with Kira.

Unfortunately, I was only able to read the first book in this box set. And even that was a struggle. Kira, the female lead, finds out she is destined to become the next Black Dragon and save the world when four men show up and claim they are her fated mates. They now have to travel to each elemental domain (fire, air, water, and earth) and mate with Kira so they can become their elemental dragon they were chosen to be by the Gods. And so begins the boring, awkward, painful (as in to read) journey. The first book is 45 chapters, the span of 10 days, where they only get to the fire domain. When a scene started to build up with action it quickly dissolved into nothing. There was more stopping for sleep and food than development of characters and story. The author wasted time on the mundane things nobody cares about.
One of the biggest reasons I had such a hard time reading this book was because there was such a lack of emotion in the dialogue. The dialogue was just a continuation of the narrative. It felt so structured and I didn't feel a connection between any of them. There was no excitement and no drama. Two of the men didn't really want to be there. I'm sorry but I prefer the men to want to woman right from the start. I want that immediate connection showing no doubt that she was meant for them. Kira would get upset about something, storm off like a child, and then return with some reasonable explanation for everything that's happening. No internal struggle. Just boring and reasonable. No growth for the characters in the first book.
As far as steam goes, I would classify this as it IS your mother's romance. Actually, I think this would insult my mom because she reads books with way more steam. The one sex scene the book has is awkward because they know they have to mate in order for the man to become his chosen dragon. Sorry not romantic or sexy.
I would recommend passing on this one.

I checked it out on kindle unlimited by accident and was engaged enough to finish it. Trashy, bold sex with a nod to affection. I liked the male characters better than the lead. They were fairly fleshed out - at least Slade and Reven were. They all claimed to love Kira and her them but it really was just and excuse for more sex. If you like reading trashy sex scenes then this is the book for you. Otherwise go read something else.

Audio book review.

Hard to rate, since this is actually six books. The first four are the main heroine's individual stories getting to know and mating with her four destined mates, then battling the enemy and moving forward with her life. Book five is the next generation, then Book six is a prequel to the entire thing. I liked each book individually, but I wouldn't call them fantastic storytelling. The four first books spread out the relationships and showed the tension of building connections in a destined grouping of five total people. Those were easier to follow. Book five had to show the entire group connecting in a single book which was super rushed. And the prequel was different in that she didn't have her mates chosen for her, but she got to nominate the guys she'd been lusting after for ages and just drag them along with her. And somehow all the men in all these books are completely fine with sharing and there's no toxic masculine jealousy. I'm equal parts glad it's not there and unable to suspend my disbelief. I read other books between the different parts of this story, and I think that was really the way to go. I think it would be difficult and more annoying to read all at one time.

Love this series!

Elizabeth Briggs is one of my favorite authors! This series is exciting, sexy and full of mystery! First up is Kira and her four dragon mates story. Next is their daughter, Sora's story. Then finally a prequel story about the Fire Goddess, Calla. I love a complete series! I become so obsessed with books! Cliffhangers make me want to toss my Kindle across the room!!! I know, patience, virtue and all that! I'm admittedly lacking! Fortunately, with Kindle unlimited I have many more favorites to choose from! And my Kindle is my Precious so I'd never actually throw it! Read, read, read! This will be one you won't want to put down!

The Fire God's children

I loved this epic series and its cast of characters. The series riveted me from one book to the next. My sense of adventure and drama was stimulated as well as the romance with its dose of sex. Never once was I bored to the very end. I appreciated all the great elements in this book. Kudos to the author.😉😊

Favorite qoutes of this books :
"Where we began does not define what we will become. What matters now are the actions we take in the future.”"
Each of the Gods values different attributes. I look for bravery, passion, and energy.” “There must be dozens of men who represent those qualities much better than I do.” “You misunderstand.” His long, reptilian head lowered as his eyes focused on Kira. “We find the mate who will best bring out those qualities in her.”
I needed some quiet time with them in a safe place to heal them fully. Assuming I could, of course.
As much as I'd like to continue this, I think our companions are calling us.” Reality came crashing back in and I sat up, feeling dazed. I brushed leaves off myself. "Right. We should get going." Jasin rose to his feet and offered me a hand, then pulled me close for one more kiss. "We'll continue this later."
hihihi very lovely.

i totally loved this books a lot of steamy sence but not always on the front. its very nice

The premise, cover, and the male leads I liked. But, and unfortunately a huge but, the FMC, dialogue, character depth, and all were lacking. I didn't like Kira. I found her to be dumb, and not in I'm ignorant in how the world works, but just overall when it came to making decisions. She was all about the guys taking over without any real input or thought. It bothered me considering she's supposed to be this ruler. For me, the relationship between the 4 guys and her lacked any emotional depth and true connection. I felt that Jasin and Auric cared more than Slade and Revan about Kira. She didn't seem to care one way or another which guy she had or made connections with. She didn't seem to try to get to know them besides their looks. As the books went ok, I wanted all of it to be over. Plot points took too long in some places to unravel and in others, no explanations before things were happening. I'm disappointed in how this series turned out because I loved Seraphim Academy!!

This is one fantastic series from start to finish which is what you get in this box set. We start by meeting Kira who's life changes when four very different guys show up claiming to be her mates saying that she is destined to save the world. Kira highly doubts this especially as the Black Dragon is in charge of everything and will no doubt be against this plan of their. Never the less they start their quest running into all sorts of trouble and surprise along the way culminating in one fantastic ending for them all. If you like paranormal reverse harem filled with dragons and magic then you should really give this series a try. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Her Elemental Dragons: The Complete Series
I gave this a 3.5 star rating.

It's a good story and there's a lot going on, but I would have liked a little less of the smut and more focus on the plot because it was so good.

This is a RH why choose, definitely not YA.
There are a few sensitive subjects like being held captive and being hunted, a bit of enemies to lovers and some insta lust too. And as mentioned plenty of smut.

You won't have to think too hard, and it's easy to finish this complete series in about 2 days.

Overall a cute read. A nice easy why choose romance with sexy dragons, who doesn't love that?

It was predictable and cookie cutter in the typical stylings of a why choose. Four guys each distinct but also the typical trops. Hot headed warrior, stoic, wise noble and broody with a rough past.

Despite that I wanted to know what happened, how they all got their dragons and how they defeated the big bad.

Minor errors in the whole thing, seriously only a handful. And I will be continuing with Sora's story as I need to know what happens to her!

⭐Rating - 5

This series served, and I devoured every single page! Her Elemental Dragons is everything I want in a fantasy romance—action-packed, steamy, and full of characters that keep you hooked from start to finish. The elemental magic system was so unique, and the dynamic between the heroine and her dragons was chef’s kiss. Each book in the series built perfectly on the last, and by the end, I was absolutely obsessed. If you’re into reverse harems, epic battles, and swoon-worthy romance, you need this series in your life. 5/5 stars, no crumbs left.

This was an ok audiobook. I wasn't blown away by the narration, but it was fairly decent.👍

This is worth the time and money to read, listen, and enjoy!⭐️ It isn't super complex, but it's angsty, romantic, and steamy with lots of action.😉

I was impressed with this one. I love elizabeth briggs books.. this book has a little bit of spice mixed with fantasy. Kira on her 20th birthday gets get by lighting and finds out she is the next black dragon, she also finds she is fated to 4 strangers from each of the 4 realms. This book follows her story and also her daughters and her fated mates.. I hope there are more stories like this by elizabeth briggs..

Great series

I really enjoyed reading this set of books. The action flowed and kept me turning the pages every night. There were a few surprises which was great. There were a few spots that a couple paragraphs were repeated but all in all was good. I loved how each story was complete, and that each dragon had its own obstacles to overcome.

An interesting world. I am glad I got to read this as a complete collection instead of in pieces as it had some nice world-building. The main series was much more interesting than the two spin-off books but he did continue to keep my interest enough to read all the way through. It was a nice way to spend 20 hours of flying.

The first 4 books are extremely repetitive and I found myself bored and skimming, but they were way better than the 5th book, which I felt was rushed and an afterthought. I liked all of Kira’s mates and of Sora’s mates, I liked Varek. Spice was pretty good, but the unrealistic dialogue and repetitiveness ruined the books.

I went into this book with no expectations and absolutely loved it! While it is daunting to look at the page count at first it is actually multiple books together which is nice, also the chapters are on the shorter side which is a plus as well. The world building is phenomenal, the characters are interesting and the character development is done so so well🫶

Enjoyable fantasy read

Good plot line, tho weird re: timeline. My only issue? The end of each book that is an unnecessary & too long porn scene. Very predictable & not needed scene @ the end of each section where she joins with her mates.

Good mixture of well written plot, exciting adventure and smut. The smutty scenes don't feel like you're reading the same one over and over. Could not put down.
