The story of Lena & Paulina is one that has you rooting for them from the very beginning. S.S. Greene does a great job in keeping you wondering, where is this going? The characters in the travelling circus have caring and nurturing natures that leave you wanting everything in this world to go right by them. When tragedy strikes, you feel the sorrow right alongside these characters. It seems like bad luck follows like a dark shadow. There are twists you don't see coming and unexpected elements revealed in the end that accentually wrap everything up nicely. It was a great debut novel by Greene, leaving me wondering, what is next for the series, and will we be seeing some of the characters from book one in the future?!

Absolutely unputdownable! From the very first page, I was completely captivated by the story of Lena and Paulina. S. S. Greene skillfully weaves a dark and enthralling tale, blending heartbreak, suspense, and a creeping sense of dread that had me turning pages late into the night. The richly drawn characters in the Circus of Chaos feel so real and complex that I found myself deeply invested in their fates, especially the twins whose bond is both their strength and their struggle.

The plot is packed with unexpected twists and emotional highs and lows, keeping me constantly guessing and eager to see what would happen next. The author paints the circus world with vivid detail, making it come alive in all its haunting beauty and strangeness. I was torn between hope and fear for the sisters as the story built to its shocking and satisfying conclusion. If you’re a fan of dark thrillers or horror with heart, this book is a must-read. Five stars—I can’t wait for the next installment!
