Aaaaghghhhhhhh!!! This book was soooooo good! OMG!! This was my first read by this author and sis DID NOT come to play!!! This is the first book I’ve read that incorporated both erotica and thriller genres and they worked together SEAMLESSLY!!! I was intrigued by both aspects of the story and was on the edge of my seat the entire time!!! I would love to get another story about this couple!!

Maybe even 1 ⭐️ for me but I don’t give Black authors one star it’s the principle😤. Maybe I misunderstood this as solely smut when really it was a thriller with cut scenes of BDSM. The motive at the end felt reminiscent of Disney channel to me, you rejected me and now I will kill you.

While I have read some of Nicki's work in the past, I think this is by far my favorite. The story of Raquel and Blaze is my perfect smut combo, it has all my favorite tropes. First she worked in the boss/employee trope, then sprinkled in some of that age gap stuff that I love. Put a dash of the cat and mouse fun in and THEN, she added in some BD$M and I was hooked and obsessed. I didn't want to put this down. Not to mention the connections to the His Mouthpiece series, the story line, suspense, and the action make this book top tier smutspense.
Blaze is the CEO of Vex, a security company that does a lot of work for high profile cases. He is also the lead of the team of kick-a$$ operators. He is tall, dark, and handsome and exudes that BDE.
Raquel is somewhat of an analyst at Vex. Former model, she is absolutely gorgeous, but don't let her beauty fool you. She is smart as she is stubborn. But has some trauma riding her after losing her best friend.

While they do work together, what brought them together (finally) was the attempted robbery and attack at a local convenience store. The rush, the mental warfare, gave them something to share which led to more conversations, which led to more flirting, which led to Raquel letting go and agreeing to be his submissive.
After the third attack on Raquel, Blaze decided she was moving in with him as his sub. The first couple months, scenes always occurring at his home. But it was her first night at the club and she realized she loved him. Despite all her efforts not to, despite all the warnings he gave "You'll learn I'm not the man for you," The moment he was about to "share her" made her realize she didn't want to be shared, and he learned he didn't want to share her either. They find peace in one another, making them fall even more for each other.
With the threat still looming around them, Raquel does the most selfless thing anyone could do and sacrifices herself to help the team she has slowly become a part of even if it is mostly behind the scenes. And of course, Blaze being who he is, gets to her just in time.
Raquel said it best when she said, "The journey that led us to this point, where we found ourselves blissfully in love, was a lengthy process that was fraught with danger, disaster, and unforgettable experiences, but it also brought us enlightenment and growth..." This book is the first book I have read by Nicki Grace and I will definitely check out more of her titles. This is a BDSM romance, so if you are uncomfortable with this kind of spice then it’s not the read for you. Check your triggers.
Raquel is in a store one night to buy batteries when she finds herself in the middle of an armed robbery. She is saved from being shot by her boss, the man she is secretly in love with, Blaze.
Blaze is the owner of Vex, a black ops company who works alongside the FBI. He’s also a Dom and a sadist at that. When someone tries to get Raquel in her apartment, Blaze and company protect her. Blaze warns her that he’s not her type but thanks to her friends knows all about him and she agrees anyway.
Raquel is a former model, and at times acts one. It put me off of her. I also stopped a few times because of the demands he made on her. There wasn’t any discussion about limits or safe words, aside from telling her that Stop was her safe word. As a new sub, she is thrown into the lifestyle by being shared. Blaze liked to keep several subs at once and shared them quite often. There is also forced body modification with no discussion beforehand.
I did enjoy the writing and the scenes were definitely spicy I would love to see more books with the rest of the Vex team. There are plenty of suspenseful moments to keep the story alive. I would definitely recommend it if you like D/s.

Raquel and Blaze are perfect for each other. The storyline was easy to follow. The spice is top tier chef’s kiss! I truly enjoyed the book and highly recommend it. Blaze is book bae! Raquel found exactly who she needed in Blaze. Blaze was against love but Raquel tore the wall down.

This was absolutely...*chef's kiss*. I could NOT get enough of this book. It had everything you could possibly ask for in one book. Romance. Smut. Action. Dad Jokes. The character was 100% relateable. I highly recommend this book AND AUTHOR who really knows how to write well-rounded characters and an absolutely AMAZING storyline. You won't regret it!!!

Get ready for a wild ride! If you enjoy a thriller and erotic reads this is the book for you. This Side of Wrong tells the story of Raquel and Blaze. The chemistry between these two drops from the pages. Nicki takes you on thrill ride of suspense, mystery, danger and erotic fantasies. Her writing draws you into the pages and before you know it you are engulfed into her stories. This is a must read! Be prepared to be clutching your pearls!!

This was my introduction to Nicki’s books and let me to you she did not disappoint!! This book was captivating from the first chapter, perfect amount of plot and spice, and the writing style is just *chefs kiss*.
Raquel was one of the most relatable FMCs I have come across. Her inner dialogue at times had my cackling. Blaze, the hot, dominating and generous MMC is one of my favourite book boyfriends now! The chemistry between all of the characters was amazing, makes you want to go into your own sub adventures. I kind of want my nipples pierced now too 😉 IYKYK
I’m so glad I was able to read this story, I’m about to make it my personality for the unforeseeable future. Now I’m about to dive into Nicki’s entire collection ✌🏼

It literally kept me reading and guessing until the epilogue. If you love sexy scenes, suspense, plot twists all at once you need to pick up this book!

I love the Workplace Romance and The Age Gap Tropes so I was eager to read this book especially since it had BDSM added into the mix, knowing that this was my first read by Nicki Grace I wasn't sure what to expect going in but I was pleasantly surprised with how well the story flowed and how developed the characters were.
This is the first book in the THIS SIDE OF WRONG SERIES but all of the characters in this book have shown up in a prior series, HIS MOUTHPIECE, which I would have loved to have read before this book that way I would have known more about Blaze and possibly liked him more than I did.

This was an incredibly fun read! I will admit, it took a few chapters for me to get pulled in, but once the story grabbed me, it didn't let go. The spice was SOOOOOO good, and the action and storyline were well thought out and never felt like just filler. Everything had a purpose. Nicki created an entire cast of amazing characters, and I found myself getting worried for all of them during fight scenes and not just the main couple. As the first book I have read from this author, I was not disappointed, and I look forward to exploring her other works!

Wow! This was the first book I have read by this author and I gotta say I’m here for it! The book was well written, it moved at a great pace, the characters were well developed, and the spice was on point. This is definitely a book I would recommend reading! I received this as an advance reader copy and I’m leaving my review voluntarily. Now start reading this book, you won’t regret it!

This is my first read by Nicki Grace but it will NOT be my last! Her writing style is so smooth and enjoyable. Her descriptions pull you in and place you right in the middle of the story-describing he fruit in the fruit salad, saying how he “draws erotic mazes” while doing certain things with his tongue in certain places- top notch! This book gives an excellent representation of a dom/sub dynamic, with some spiiiicy spice, amazing humorous lines, and an overall really enjoyable and interesting plot. Five stars EASILY and FIVE peppers for spice FOR SURE!

This. Book. Is. PHENOMENAL!!!! It has the perfect mix of the BDSM scene, the perfect amout of action, and the wonderful and seamless phasing from boss and employee, to Dom and sub to lovers to soul mates. Not to mention the amout of description in this book? COMPLETELY. ON. POINT!!!! If you can you MUST. GET. THIS. BOOK!!!!! This author is an amazing woman and writer. This book is fast paced, gripping, and dirty! Raquel may be a dainty princess, but she's got a wild side. Blaze 🥵 is 6'6 of lethal sexiness. I was up every night wanting to read more pages, this book is addicting!

This book was a page turner! A great balance of excitement in and out of the bedroom. Nicki makes the characters come alive and made this reader get invested into their well being without overdoing the back story. It was a beautiful glimpse into their world.

Yall are in for a treat….BLAZE🔥 is THEE man. This man is rude and sexy, aggressive and gentle all at the same damn time. He doesn’t know what to say out of his mouth but damn sure knows how to use it. Now Raquel, one minute she plays 20/20 questions at the most awkward times but then she can be a smart cookie. The things Blaze does to her definitely had me jealous as hell😒. Even the action in the book is a BIG turn on. BIG man, BIG guns, and definitely BIG d*ck energy. Blaze gives all of that and I’m here for it. I can’t wait for this book to come out because I need it in my hands. AND…..I definitely want to see about his previous subs. That shit looks hot🥵🥵

I went into this book blind for the most part. I was an expecting a spicy BDSM romance instead I got that and an exciting, erotic, and action packed suspense romance. Ch 22 with the nipple piercings. Oh. My. God. I need that scene in my life so bad.
The Characters were all amazing. I loved Blaze and his whole team. Raquel was a strong and stubborn FMC.

This was my first read of this author and let me tell you, This Side of Wrong and Nicki Grace do not disappoint. The well-developed characters and integration of the Dom/sub relationship, love relationship progression and the suspenseful storyline were well thought out.
The Dom/sub scenes were spicy and left me wanting more and to grab hold of my guy. I loved the way their relationship developed and the witty banter between Blaze and Raquel. Oh and let's not forget the interaction with Hannah. And hmmmm.... should I go get piercings. All I can say is Read the book....
Add to all the spice, a well written investigative case that brought drama, intrigue and danger along with strong sense of team and should I say FAMILY. All makes for a wonderful read. There were many turns in this story that I found myself unable to put it down... well at least not until my boss walked by.
