Storm would have been amazing if it had been a full length novel with more angst and a heroine that made her man grovel. Just saying...

(DNF) I'm sorry, but after trying four of the books in this series, I can safely conclude that in addition to lacking chemistry between each of the couples, the sex scenes are another area that need definite improvement. The smut is why most of us are here, so when the delivery is fumbled in each book, I'm disappointed and a little cranky. 🙃

And don't get me started on the dirty talk. 🙄 It was flat in general, and sorry, but it's just not sexy to keep reading "yes" and "oh fuck" over and over again. I'm not asking for a damn monologue, but I want some real effort put in.

As for this book, the only good line was when the Hero narrated that if she couldn't hear him out, "then she was gonna find herself tied to our bed while I convinced her to forgive me with my mouth on her pussy." Yes, please. Inject more of that energy into the rest of the book.

I don't recommend this series to anyone and I'm officially giving up on this author.

Blakely lived in foster care after her father went to prison for avenging her kidnapping. He left Storm a man from another MC to check in on her and to keep her safe. When Storm met Blakely again when she was 16 their feelings for each other changed and so Storm stayed away until she was 18, so he could claim her as his old lady. But everything changes when he finds out her foster brother tried to take advantage. Now Storm is back to claim his woman and to get revenge for all the things that happened to her. Blakely sees Storm again and after being hurt and angry for so long she finally gets her HEA with her man. Awesome read, sweet, steamy 🥵, romantic ,with action and safe with an awesome HEA 😍😍😍😍😍 Can't wait for Whiskey to find his HEA 👍🏻

Quickie ARC Review: Storm is a quick, sexy and slightly tabooish read. But man o’ man was it absolutely amazing. What makes it tabooish, is the fact that Storm started having feelings for Blakely before she turned 18. He just made sure to stay away until he could claim her. And claim her he did. MC men are such a different breed and I can’t get enough. This story can be read as a standalone but I need to read the previous 3. And I believe I will start now. 5 Stars.

This one was alright but FD should stick to the sickly sweet/low angst writing IMO.

When the duo tries to write grovel after the H fucks up and abandons/betray's the h it just falls flat because there isn't nearly enough grovel or explanation, just relying on the H to call his h "baby" and talk dirty to her to get her body to betray her and then she eventually just relents and forgives him for betraying her.

The dirty talk would be okay after a sufficient explination and grovel but it just reads as manipulative and high handed to just say "too bad you're mine" and make the h horny so she forgets that Gideon was abandoning her and causing her pain for TWO WHOLE YEARS while he lived it up partying the MC lifestyle. Like bestie, have some self respect.

Blakely was let down and constantly abandoned and left disappointed by Gideon and he just let her continue to think she was easy to throw away or disposable while he just went about living and enjoying his life. She was just tolerated by her foster family while he was having a grand ole time living the typical MC bikerlifestyle.

Speaking of which, this is the first manwhore/former manwhore we've seen in recent FD works:

Gideon confirmed that Sheila had to clean his room for Elise since she didn't want to be around whatever Storm/Gideon had been doing in his bed with however many women before.

Most of the Fiona Davenport MMCs have been written to be long time celibate and nothing really turns their heads and no other woman actually gets their attention until they meet their heroines and they have that signature "BAM she's the ONE/MINE moment" but are we switching things up with the future brothers since they "flirt with everything" 🙀

When I turned and headed back to my girl, I saw Molly sit down next to her and begin to say something.
“Why don’t you come to our house while Storm is gone? No one here would hurt you, but since you aren’t claimed, you’ll probably get really sick of every brother around hitting on you.”

“And don’t worry, Tank told me that Sheila said she would make sure my room was clean before we got there, so you won’t have to deal with my mess while you stay there.”
Just thinking about the kind of things I would’ve found in there—or on the sheets—made me gag. Shooing him out of my room as he chuckled over my reaction, I headed into the bathroom to get cleaned up and changed into my favorite pairs of jeans and a cute sweater.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

When Blakely is kidnapped at 12 by a rival MC gang her dad, Saber calls the Iron Rouges for help. Gideon aka Storm is a negotiations specialist with the military, he accesses the info Saber has and is able to get additional clues from the kidnappers to rescue Blakely. Once she safely home Saber goes and kills the guys who kidnapped her but gets sloppy and is caught by the police. When he’s arrested he asks Storm to protect her while he’s gone.
Gideon made sure she got put with a good foster family and visits her when he’s home for leave but as she gets older he starts having feelings for her. When she turns 16 he steps back and has others watch her for him. He thinks everything is ok and plans to claim her on her 18th birthday. But his sister comes to visit him and delays his plan.
Meanwhile Blakely thinks that Gideon has abandoned her, her foster parents won’t let her see her dad, Gideon use to take her to the prison to visit him, and now their creepy son is hitting on her. The creepy son comes to her room but is stopped by the mom before anything can happen, when Blakely opens the door to tell the foster mom about him the creep makes it sound like Blakely came on to him and he was fighting her off. The foster mom believes her baby boy and kicks Blakely out. Having no where to go she heads to her dad’s old MC, the Westland Raiders.
Their VP calls the Iron Rouges and Gideon rushes to Florida to get his girl. Blakely is surprised to see Gideon, he tells her he’s here for her and she scoffs at him. Needing privacy for his explanation he carries her off to her dad’s old room. He explains how he had inappropriate feelings for her when she was too young but he planned to come for her when she turned 18.
I was hoping she would make him work for it, at least for a few days but she gives in immediately and they have their first time together, she’s a virgin no mention of his past.
Lots of you’re mine, my girl, only mine but she never asks if he’s hers. Doesn’t ask when the last time he was with someone else. Just is over come by him and has unprotected sex.

I love this author duo but just once I would love a story with a heroine a hair over 18, at least a heroine who is out of her teens. I would applaud her questioning his sexual past, and I would rejoice if she demanded he was only hers like he does of her. Sigh, it’s the same with every story, it’s gets so repetitive.

The next day he completes club business and then works with MC friend to take down her foster family, especially the creepy son.
Lucky for them the creep was at his house with a minor and the girls parents come with police to have him arrested. They also planted enough drugs to get him charged with distribution.
More sexy times and they go to see her dad and tell him everything that happened and Gideon tells him about Blakely being his. Saber blusters a little but is happy, it worked out the way it was supposed to. Gideon realizes he was set up by Saber, he’s not mad, it all worked out perfectly.
Epilogue, she moves to Tennessee, becomes Storm’s old lady and wife, and is newly pregnant. Years later with more kids. Set up for the next book Whiskey, he’s just been given custody of his baby niece.

i was very disappointed with this one as i've enjoyed the others in the series. i understand that it may not have been the author's intentions, but this relationship felt icky. there should be no attraction from an adult man to a minor for absolutely any reason. once again, i think the author had a very different intention, and that was obvious, but it still should have either been made clearer or not been attempted at all.

i will most likely continue this series, but this one was just not it.

She was kidnapped by a rival motorcycle when she was 12 and her dad took revenge after she was saved by Gideon (Storm) and sadly got caught and sent to prison and from then on she lived with a foster family and when she turned 16 she started to have feelings for her and so did he. That’s why he watched for afar but she carried anger about him and she didn’t know why. When she turned 18 her foster brother Bryan tried to rape her but she was in turn kicked out and had to live with her dad’s motorcycle club. Her dad is president btw. So Gideon finds out and goes to her and they hash out their problems and finally do the deed. Hotly. He has to go help a friend Kane and Tatum who are brothers and I want their books now pls. Then does a drug bust and a cool killing session while also making Brian go to jail cuz he was sleeping with a underage girl from his church no less and also the drugs they mysteriously found in his house ahah. He went back to claim his woman and later go to her dad and talk about their relationship and he gladly accepted them. He wanted her to be his wife, his old lady, and the mother of his children omd so cute. They have kids together and Whiskey finds out he has a niece and needs a nanny and I know what’s gonna happen already hehe.

Too Much Frosting, Not Enough Cake

I LOVE this series and look forward to reading each one. I purchase the collected series with extra epilogues; however, the authors are slipping with this one.

Maybe it was a time crunch or an extremely tight deadline while a major life event was happening, but this is lacking the emotional strength present in earlier books.

I read the previous MC series and the connections with Maverick, Fox, and Blade. The third book, Blade, ends with a perfect set up for Storm.

It gets ruined with too much reliance on a young woman’s memory of a life that was marred by her father’s actions and choices. She is deserted by her father, and by Storm; her foster family twists the knife further with emotional, psychological, and in some was physical damage (primarily from the son).

If the authors had treated this like some of the earlier books with more time spent with the heroine’s emotions and with the hero’s emotions earlier in the book, then it would have been stronger.

The wrap up was too quick and presumed a knowledge the casual reader or more recent reader might not know.

Connections in parts of this book go back to the first several books with Mac and Molly (whose grown daughters are old ladies to Maverick and Fox respectively).

That’s a lot of books.

I hope the next two are not this sloppy because I truly LOVE this series, but not this segment’s execution.

Disappointed & Disgusted

I was introduced to Fiona Davenport with their “Baby” series and loved it! I devoured almost every one of their other books and felt elated that I discovered them and gave that initial book a chance.

Sadly, the writing duo is getting lazier and lazier still with each book they release. The dialogue for ALL their motorcycle club books in BOTH club series is repetitive. You wouldn't see a difference if you changed the names to a previous book’s main characters. The characters all read the same- tone, verbiage, AND personality.

The plots and storylines are not well crafted either. It’s almost like they’re running out of fluff material to recycle and put in these novellas that are getting shorter and shorter with every release.

Also, the nonchalant way that r*pe is glossed over in this book is disgusting and is a direct result of their lazy writing. The guys were so happy about Bryan’s downfall. They stood around cackling while watching him be arrested, but the statutory r*pe that got the results they were pleased about was ignored. The girl was brought out after him, and the book conveyed that she started crying when she realized she had an audience. A minor CANNOT CONSENT, regardless of the circumstances. What’s funny about that? It was disgusting to read.

I took a break from reading their books for these reasons, but nothing has changed. I’m finally giving up.

As with all the books that follow in the Fiona Davenport MC world this is just as worthy as the first. If this is the first book you are picking up in the series go back and read, at the very least, the first in the Iron Rogues series called Maverick. Honestly, I would go start all the way back with the book named Mac which starts in the Silver Saints MC world. All the books follow along and characters do interconnect between books and even series. It doesn't make them confusing to read if you pick one up in the middle but the stories are all well rounded when read as a whole. None end in a Cliffhanger, but there is always a subtle or sometimes a not so subtle nudge to a next book that follows and who it might be about. These are quick insta-love stories that are great for an afternoon read. Always an HEA and Spicy!

As for this book, I really liked the premise that Storm has been a part of Blakely's life since she was younger and her rescuer at one point. The story wraps around smoothly and although there is the taboo that he was attracted to her before she was of age but it was the honorable thing that he waited. In all these stories that follow along, there is a huge family vibe, whether found family or not. There is always a little drama, a twist that you don't see coming and of course the spicy sex scenes. I am already itching for the next in the series.

Wow. This series and each MMC just keep getting better and better. Seriously. Storm has been waiting to claim Blakely for 2 years. He is done waiting. Only thing is, he has kept his distance and now he has to get her forgiveness before they can start their life together. And let me tell you, he does a darn good job of it. Swoon. This man was freaking perfect. He was obsessed with his girl. He was super protective and treated her like a queen. Blakely was awesome too. She was super sweet, but still strong. She fought her battles and took up for herself when necessary. She knew what was worth fighting over and what to let go. I loved her dad too. He loved his daughter so much that he went as far as he could to protect her, no matter what that meant for his own life. If you love MC romance, but you want loyal, obsessed men. This is the series for you. I have loved each book and couple. And it looks like Whiskey is next and I can't wait.

Me gustó mucho la historia de Blakely, una chica que, al igual que Molly y Dhalia creció en un MC, con la diferencia que ella perdió a su padre a los 12 años cuando éste fue enviado a prisión.

Gideon es algo así como su héroe ya que él la rescató cuando la secuestraron mientras era pequeña, así es como Gideon ha estado en su vida por muchos años, hasta que ya no...

Es interesante cómo Gideon se da cuenta desde muy temprano cómo Blakely es para él. Yo insisto en que estos libros de Fiona me resultan como si fueran una mezcla con fantasía y para mí es como si los chicos del MC reconocieran a su alma gemela 😍

Me encanta que cada vez nos presentan nuevos personajes y en cuanto hacen su aparición yo ya estoy deseando leerme un libro de ellos.

Realmente no me considero una persona rencorosa y no me gusta guardar odio/coraje hacia las personas, es por eso que siempre tengo cierto conflicto cuando alguno de los protagonistas les cuesta perdonar y aquí amé que Blakely entendió a la perfección los motivos de Gideon para alejarse de ella y no hubo un drama innecesario.

Blakely was kidnapped when she was twelve years old and her single dad went to jail. She didn't have any other family but she Gideon aka Storm. That changed few years ago when he had gotten out of military. She couldn't understand why he broke his promise.

Gideon planned to go back to her when she turned eighteen but that didn't happen. He dropped everything the minute he found out what happened with her. I liked how Blakely wasn't just love struck teenager who forgave him the minute he showed up but made it clear that he wouldn't be Gideon to her again until she could trust him. 

All in all it was nice to get back to this world. I just wish they had dealed more with her trust issues. It's like they all disappeared when Gideon was back in her life and he didn't even need grovel much. But thankfully he showed with his actions how much he cared about her and how he wouldn't let anything between them. This book also made me really exited for Whiskey's book!

I love this series! Every story has all the features of the sizzling age gap, insta-loves that we enjoy from this author duo, but every one is a different piece of the puzzle that is the Iron Rogues MC.
I enjoyed the brotherhood aspects in this one.

When Blakely is kidnapped as a child, Gideon/Storm is part of the team that rescues her. Unfortunately, decisions were made by her father, after her rescue, that negatively affected her life.

Storm made an attempt to safeguard Blakely, but doesn't get too close. Easy to understand why, as the story unfolds, and is definitely there when things start becoming problematic for her. Their connection and chemistry is easy to connect with, and I enjoyed how this storyline wound around to their HEA.

I do recommend reading in order to have the best experience. Additionally, the Silver Saints MC series should also be on your reading list, as this is connected to all those guys.

I eagerly look forward to the next in this series.

This was another great installment of the Iron Rogues MC series and is about Blakely and Gideon (who goes by Storm)
Blakely is lost in the world. Her only parent is in jail for un@living her kidnappers and she's been sent to a foster home. The mom and dad aren't so bad but their son is creepy and plain awful..when something bad happens, the mother kicks Blakely out...but what Blakely doesn't realize is the man she is in love with knows what happened and he's on his way to her.
Gideon is helping Blakely's dad out when he agrees to watch over her.. He doesn't anticipate falling for her or realizing he has to wait a while before they can be together.
When things go bad, Blakely runs to the one place she knows she's safe...her dads MC. Will Gideon make Blakely realize they are meant to be or will she be too hurt and him too late?

Blakely was kidnapped when she was 12 and Gideon "Storm" was the one that rescued her. When her dad Saber went to prison, Gideon was supposed to keep an eye out for her and keep her safe. Which happened, until she turned 16 and Gideon stopped visiting or communicating much with her. When Blakley is once again on her own, Gideon returns to claim what has always been his.

I loved that Blakely made him grovel a little once she knew the whole back story of why he went dark on her. She grew up in the MC life and also understood that some things would need to stay club business. The ladies delivered in the spice department, especially in that epilogue.

Another great addition to the series, I am also sooo excited for Whiskey's story!!

Another great addition to the Iron Rogues MC. After Blakely was kidnapped at the age of twelve her father takes matters into his own hands so no one will hurt her again. Because of this he ends up serving time. While doing his time he asks Storm to look after his daughter. Now years later and no longer in the military he realizes that he needs to stay away till she turns eighteen because of the feelings for each other have changed to something so much more. However, on her birthday things happened with his sister and he had to put off going to get his woman. When he hears what happened to her he drops everything and goes to get his girl. Can’t wait to see what happens next with Whiskey.

still super fast paced but made a little more sense because they’ve known each other for years.. on the other hand, Storm helped to find Blakely when she was kidnapped when she was 11(?). Afterward, her dad went to jail for killing the people that kidnapped her and Storm promised to look after her… when she was 16 he realized he had feelings for her and didn’t want to act on them until she was 18 and that’s essentially where the story starts so idk

A quick loveable story from my Favorite Fiona Davenport 😍

Storm and Blakely story is quick, hot and alpha males syndrome all over. Seeing Storm's feelings for Blakely is so hot. He had been waiting for her for 2 years and all shit went out after Blakely was being mistreated by her foster brother. After Being feeling ignored and abandoned by Storm, Blakely was hurt by it. After all what happened they can finally be together and have their own happily ever after HEA 😍.

Storm, aka Gideon, & Blakely are a fun couple. He made a decision to stay away from her for a bit & she wasn't pleased with that decision bc of course he didn't fill her in on it! 😆

Once he does fill her in - & provides some apologetic 🔥🔥🔥 - she's of course unable to resist forgiving him. 😉

I quite enjoyed their story! Also loved the lead in for Whiskey's story, which should knock him on his butt! In the best way...

Oh my this was great! The whole Silver Saints/Iron Rogues books are such fun reads!!!

Love Storm and Blakey! Blakey is spunky and an MC Princess who is perfect for Storm! She makes him laugh, and she totally owns him, but ‘will use her power for good and orgasms’ 🤣

Oh and get to meet Kane who totally needs his own book/series!

Cannot wait for Whiskey’s book and Viper’s book!! Thank you Elle and Rochelle for writing books we love to read!!

This is book 4 in the Iron Rogues MC books. Blakely was kidnapped when she was 12 and Gideon "Storm" was the one that rescued her. Gideon was supposed to keep an eye out for her and keep her safe. Which happened, until she turned 16 and Gideon stopped visiting. Gideon planned to go back to her when she turned eighteen but that didn't happen. Blakely sees Storm again and after being hurt and angry for so long she finally gets her HEA with her man. I absolutely loved this read.
