The trail of blood is dry, and the final showdown with Vincent beckons.
An intriguing tip leads to the team to an opulent Manhattan penthouse, and the scene of a recent crime. A pharmaceutical executive lies murdered, drained of all his blood. But is this lead too good to be true?
Kris goes it alone, only to find a room crowded with gunmen, and even worse, the blowhard CEO of Matriel, armed with a proposal. The choice is join forces with Matriel to destroy Vincent once and for all, or give up the chase completely.
As Kris, the vengeful, bloodthirsty Vincent, and the sinister corporation that created him reach their endgame, who will come out on top?
This is the end of this particular arc and outside the usual bits this makes for a pleasant read. Would like to see some training for Kris and a few other loose ends cleared up but perhaps we shall see it in the future.
Sorry I don’t review every book in a series but if an author can keep me turning pages after 7 books and a prequel. I need to recommend Marc Stapleton’s Gift Series to all my fellow readers .
