In the twelfth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar a man named Lazarus rises from the dead. But the biggest skeptic of this miracle is Lazarus himself.
Even though I wouldn't normally rate a book with so many ... I wouldn't say problems but for the lack of a better word: problems, so high, this story totally is something special and sadly I can't really express why. Maybe it's the writing style, which I found somewhat weird at the beginning but grew on me as the story went on. Or it's the fact that it brings about a very calming feeling, reading about Lazarus, his family, how he finds his faith and what happens thereafter. Whatever it is, I feel kind of empty having finished it. Don't want to leave the characters just now.
