ARC review:
Chelsea’s done it again, she’s produced an amazing story about two complex characters. I was hooked from the first page of Second City and I was hooked from the first page of Haven once again. I’m so happy to have answers and an ending to their story but also sad that I don’t have more to read about Lara and Roman.
Now in my review about Second City I remember saying about how Lara was such a bad a** and she very much still is but I love how Haven gave us a look into how vulnerable she is underneath that tough exterior. She is such a lovable character and by far one of my favourite FMC’s.
Roman Black. What can I even say about him? I remember him leaving me speechless the first time I read about him and he has succeeded again. I absolutely adore this man. The fact that no matter what Lara does he is still obsessed with her has me melting. I was absolutely over the moon to be reading about my number one book boyfriend again and now I’m absolutely devastated that it’s over. I guess it’s time to read Second City again and start over.
Love, love, love this series. The one series I recommend to every book lover I meet. It doesn’t get better than this and I can’t wait to read more books from this author in the future. Keep it up Chelsea, you’re a star and I think I may possibly be your biggest fan. You’re an inspiration to many young writers and this series is certainly proof that if you dream and work hard enough, you can do it! 🩷

So many twists and revelations in this book! My mind was blown repeatedly. I loved how the story progressed and my god those last 90 pages. I gasped. I laughed. I cried. This book kept me hooked. 100% recommend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Another exciting read from an up-and-coming author.
Haven picks up weeks after the disastrous events in Second City. Lara, a shell of herself, continues to torture herself for betraying Roman and dooming her crew to exile. Against all advice, she and Chase decide to return to the island and take down Gideon once and for all.
Almost as soon as she arrives, Roman learns of her return and it becomes 50/50 whether he'll shoot Lara to end his misery or have someone else shoot her. Despite their shattered past, the two forge an uneasy alliance and resolve to eliminate Gideon and the corrupt system that keeps him in power.
I don't read much Dark Romance so I didn't quite know what the expect with this book, but just like the first one it's tense, dark, and steamy. The author is an expert at building tension between characters and executes those scenes perfectly. Highly recommended for all the Dark Romance readers out there!

What a rollercoaster of emotions. Chelsea has, yet again, released another glorious piece of work. Following on from where Second City left off, we follow Lara’s story. Spoilers excluded, Chelsea’s words so beautifully portray the emotions that the characters are feeling and experiencing, leaving you wanting more!

After reading the first book in the Golden Island series, I was so incredibly grateful I had an ARC of Haven as I needed to know what happens next NOW!
An edge of your seat, plot twisting tale.
I love love love this series!
Lara has been banished from her home. She is desperate to right her wrongs, make amends and return her and her family to where they belong.
While she’s been away licking her wounds and trying to make sense of what happened on Golden Island, the island has become even more chaotic and violent.
Lara has had enough and it is time to claim her world back and make the island a safe and thriving place for everyone, not just the rich in their golden towers. But to do so, she must enlist the help of those her would rather see her ten feet under.
Action and adventure, romance and spice, found family, deceit and betrayal, warring and world building, love and heart break - what more could you want.
