Elizabeth Stitchway, private investigator, thirty-six, finds her business and personal life are heading for the dumpster. She quickly abandons her self-pity when a twister rips through her Aunt Jane’s retirement park destroying several houses.

Characters from Jane’s holiday tree, a Christmas tree she leaves standing year round, are dropped from the twister’s grasp as it touches Port Orange and Daytona Beach. But Jane survives the storm in a safe-room bolted to the carport’s cement slab.

Appearing as if Jane has lost everything she divulges a secret to her niece—she is, or was until the twister hit, a millionaire several times over. Her treasures start popping up creating great anxiety as people struggle with their desire to keep diamonds, gold bars and coins. Is it finders keepers, losers weepers, or do they do the right thing and return the valuables they found to Jane?

Captain Manny Salinas, Daytona Beach PD, reenters Elizabeth’s life as he becomes entangled in the intrigue of her aunt’s lost wealth. He is caught off guard when his feelings for Elizabeth suddenly catch fire.

A story of love, kindness, generosity and acts of right … or wrong—will tragedy bring more turmoil or good fortune to the lives of those touched by the twister?

This book is fun, lightly dealing with heavy matters. The romance is exquisite, it's nice to see Stitch fall in love.
