Lost & Found: Navigating New Lives & Love

Rate this book
"Lost & Found" is an extraordinary true tale of self-discovery by the most unusual 'alone in the wilderness' writer still working. Who else indulges such a wild imagination? Entire winters alone in a tent in the wilderness, whitewater rafting on freezing rivers, talking with wolves on February nights? No camera crews or catering companies... no 'reality show' safety net; this is real-life adventure & you feel like you're right there with him. It's another captivating memoir from the author's intentionally adventurous life.

This book achieved Kindle #1 Bestseller status in two Amazon categories (Solo Travel & Extreme Sports) in its first month of publication. Like other books in the "Real-life Adventures of the Texas Yeti" series, Taylor's polished storytelling & lucid descriptions transport you into worlds of experience that are unbelievably wild. With 10 bestseller awards across 5 categories (each earning #1 Bestseller status in Solo Travel), this series has garnered widespread acclaim for its authenticity and charm.

What Readers Say about "Lost & Found" ('Verified Purchase' reviews on Amazon)

** "You think it's fiction but it's not. The author started out as an adventurer that wrote books, but evolved into a top-shelf writer. And the more I read, the more I want. No one does so many different things … He takes 'can do' to a whole new level. More than entertaining, it's inspiring." (Verified Purchase review for "Lost & Found")

** "Most looked-forward-to book this year... & we were not disappointed. It’s his best yet … You find yourself more interested in who Pat is than just the adventure he is on. He can make you feel you are on his journey with him." (Verified Purchase review for "Lost & Found")

** "Real life... I love the way Pat writes. The way he puts his thoughts on paper make you feel as if you are living the moment. Very descriptive. I have his whole collection and every one is just as good." (Verified Purchase review for "Lost & Found")

In a world where 'action movies' are faked entirely on green screens & 'reality shows' contort the truth, Patrick Taylor's true adventures are refreshingly authentic, entertaining, & inspiring. His self-published bestsellers deliver rewarding reading experiences & are trending to a wider audience. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a hopeless romantic, "Lost & Found" will open the door to a real-life adventure few people even imagine.

What Readers Say about Taylor's "Real-life Adventures of the Texas Yeti..." ('Verified Purchase' reviews on Amazon):

** 'I have read multiple books on journeys similar to this, but they never got into the heart & soul of the journeyman. This book addresses not only the struggles with the environment but also with the mind. I’d follow Taylor on any adventure he chooses to write about...' (Verified Purchase review for "Lost on Purpose")

** 'This is second one of his books I've read. Just confirms my thoughts of giving up the office, emails, deadlines etc.. & cashing in everything for a more simple fulfilling life. Patrick gives me encouragement even as we get older we can chase our dreams.' (Verified Purchase review for "River Hippies & Mountain Men")

** '..this book was the ultimate escape vehicle to a lifestyle I could only dream about.

I have read all of Pat's books, and enjoy the way he shares his adventures and life experiences. This book is a bit different than those previous, in that it focuses on a change of scenery, and lifestyle. His willingness to say goodbye to the wilderness outings, and long stretches of loneliness and meditation, must have been difficult, but considering his age, and his budding online romance, it was time to change it up. I am happy it all worked out the way it did, and look forward to the next book, which should be interesting!

I'm glad I found it!

I've enjoyed Pat's books before, but this one immersed me into totally new adventures...ones that I had no idea were on the radar. He just carries you along in his backpack. Pat doesn't hold back when it comes to describing his thoughts and take on life. He is honest and open. And daring. What's next?

This is a fantastic look inside the life of a mountain man in Idaho. Pat’s adventures and friends are as interesting as can be. The late night wolf calling to the winter rafting all made a great story even more amazing.. He writes very well and it was a joy to read.

great book

I really enjoyed this book. It’s hard not to like an adventure book that celebrates nature and God created spaces. I also like his thoughts on Love and all the messy things it can encompass. Just a very satisfying book. Covid sucks…as does too much government control.

Pat describes his adventures in a way that makes the reader feel like they are with him.
I love that this book revolves around a “different” type of adventure for him.
I won’t give anything away, but let’s just say that The Texas Yeti may have met his match!
This is a story both men and women will enjoy. Something for everyone!
