Winter at The Cornish Garden Café

Rate this book
Come to Cornwall and spend some time at the charming Cornish Garden Café. Surrounded by a beautiful, peaceful garden, the café is a haven at any time of the year. Breathe in the clean sea air, listen to the waves crashing against the shore and relax while you sip a refreshing drink and enjoy a tasty bite to eat…

Single mum Thora Mason is content with her life. She loves her two jobs — working at the Cornish Garden Café and walking dogs for local people — and being a devoted mum to her teenaged twins.
Lucas Grant left the Cornish village over twenty years ago, leaving behind his family and the only woman he’s ever loved. Now he’s back to take care of his sick father and to help sort out his father’s cluttered home.
When Thora bumps into Lucas, she’s stunned by the feelings that come rushing back and avoids him at all costs. After all, she’s happy now, so why would she risk that by allowing romance into her life?
Lucas is an investor, governed solely by his head, but when he sees Thora again, his heart takes the reins.
Will these two former lovers reunite, or will they walk away from each other for a second time before their hearts break all over again?

The Garden Cafe is a special place run by Pearl and Thora a single mum to twins works there.
Lucas hasn’t been home for a while but his father needs some help so he’s reluctantly returning to see if he can help.
Christmas is approaching and the festive season is the perfect time to celebrate and let go of the past.
Thora and Lucas had a past but is there hope for the present and their future?
Filled with festive fun and treats, cosy up with a hot chocolate and a mincemeat pie and enjoy #Christmas in July.

Such a lovely story

I loved this book about Thora who never thought of leaving the village or her parents and friends. Lucas couldn't wait to leave the village for better things in London. I love second chance romance so this book was perfect. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series.

A romance set at Christmas, in a small village in Cornwall, all based around the Garden Cafe which is the heart of the village.

This was a great read and I loved it.

Porthpenny is a fishing village in Cornwall. Thora has lived in the village her whole life. Now a divorcee with 2 teenage twins, she works at the Garden Cafe and has a good relationship with her ex.

Lucas, grew up in the village but left to work in London to get away from his father. Now his father needs help and he comes back for a few weeks to help.

Thora and Lucas were a couple in their teenage years, her heart was broken when he left, can they repair their relationship at the most magical time of year?

Whilst each book in this series is a standalone story, the books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.

There's one more book in this series, which I've downloaded already. I will be sorry to see this series end, its a real feel good series.
