"Something was wrong. He sensed it even before his eyes fluttered open. The city’s familiar orchestra – the blare of car horns, a distant train whistle – was gone, replaced by a whistling wind and the shriek of his alarm."And now he is the only person on the planet.Or is he?
I've been staring at this blank review for over 5mins and I still don't know how to articulate my thoughts. This book is absolutely fantastic, it goes from a simple premise and manages to build up fleshed out protagonists full of humanity and emotions because, at the end of the day, isn't this really what makes us truly human? The search for emotions, and then fighting them because it clashes with other people's feelings or because it doesn't correspond to what you should be feeling? The protagonists are human, thus they are flawed and it's amazing. It also makes you think about your loneliness, question the way you live your life, and, most importantly, it makes you want to cherish your life and relationships more.
